GG’s to everyone that I played on XBLA. This game is awesome. Kim and Terry, good start for getting the feel of the game?
Kim and Terry are pretty simple to use, Kim more so than Terry. I say they are great starters, I myself started on Billy, Kim and Mai.
People discovered a really easy way to open the debug menu, even on Xbox Live. Thats what the guy was doing.
I hope they fix it soon.
Yeah, some douche did that shit against me as well but somehow the connection got
dropped and I got the win without even pressing a button:rofl:. That is some REAL cheap ass shit though, hopefully it gets fixed.
I just tested it out myself and it works, I’m not gonna tell you exactly how to do it, but if any has owned an AES before then you’ll know.
Anyway it was fun while it lasted. This will soon become common knowledge, and totally ruin online play.
Maybe it’s because I live in japan but I’ve never had a problem finding a game and the player quality from the local low pingers that I play has always been excellent
For me fatal fury special is one of the most balanced fighters I’ve played, every character is tourney worthy. It’s an old skool gem that shouldn’t be overlooked. If you’re looking for a top tier though I’d say mai and kim are top 2. I think andy is very powerful too.
Mai and Kim are certainly EXCELLENT, but as they say so is oe…and Kim is certainly the best…hes too solid in this game too…**Hes really solid.
**
But name one game hes been in that HE HASNT BEEN REALLY SOLID. Hes always been high tier or top tier in like every game.
Hes like Iori almost…
My tourney characters as of touching this game recently to prepare for tournies is Geese, Kim, Mai.
What makes joe so good that he was put as no.1 in one of the tier lists?
I’d certainly not put him above powerhouses like kim and mai
Joe is like the O.Sagat of FFS!
I’m still learning the game so what makes joe that good?
does he have abusable or cheap tactics?
Heavy punch tornado spam. Shoots out two tornado’s that are hard to jump over and dodge, only thing you can do is block. My friend found this tactic out early in our CvS2 days and it was a nightmare. Then I picked up Sagat and we had ourselves a drawn out projectile battle.
Are you kidding, its easy when he does the twin tornados just super jump them you’ll get him befor he done throwing out the second one even if your across the screen
But, on ffs every one has a side step to avoid projectiles just use it and you’ll be fine or just cross to the other side is a good thing as well
…Then I have no clue. Playing through single player I was toying around with Joe and found a fun combo in HP Tornado followed by C.HK, always seemed to work. Geese, Krauser, all of them pretty much fell easily. Another combo that worked alright was jump in light punch spam into multi-punches, though sometimes it pushed back and allowed an easy strike. I doubt any of these will work against actual opponents, but it’s fun to fuck with the CPU.
Big Bear seems fucking broken when the CPU uses him, I dislike the semi-invincible bull dash.
Also Mavrick that was early in my fighting game career, when I knew next to nothing. Still damn annoying though.
oh ok i got you now

Features … good lord… a Cheng player!!! I knew I wasn’t alone!
Fantastic Crayfish…I will have some NEC8 FFS vids to you in December!!!
Big Bear doing that move=Free counter with Geese, or free Guard Counter (is that the term? b,f+A) with everyone else. Or just plane change and then wait for him to do it and swat him.
People bringing FF Battle Archives 1 to NEC?
Excellent…time to polish my Jubei and Joe (“Can I getta pie?!”)
Man I’d love to play some FFS against people head to head, someone come to Seattle and play me.
Probably the MOST underrated game by the entire fighting game community.
Oh jesus… you mean the DIPSWITCHES?!
The absolute ONLY thing that they should -ever- be used for is opening up that extra character… and even then, he’s like ST Akuma…
