It doesnt make a lick of sense, as I can go to WHP and kof98 and be up and running in miliseconds.

Mmm, don’t know how to explain that one. Aside from games that use analog inputs and such, it always seemed to me that if the controls worked for one game, it’d work for all of them.
What you could do is try setting the controls under “Input (General)” for a game that does recognize your inputs, and then loading up RB2.
Still a very weird problem, though.

I want to, but most likely funds won’t allow, as I am in Florida, so super tempting. Me and Ghostpilot, have been playing online for a bit. Going through blocking drills etc And although he underestimates me, because I just recently learned how to throw correctly :rolleyes:, hes going down. I said hes welcomed to come to Florida, for some rounds, but most likely this time it will be online. Though I plan on getting to Evo, so we could do that there eventually.
Anyhow how, this is me messing with him and stems from him saying Mai Sucks, and I intend to prove him wrong ;).

Fight me, I’ll show you what a training dummy is. I’m like a deer in headlights if you can set up a decent offense. If Mr. Big/Ghostpilot is like a final boss, I’m like a tutorial stage.
Ill play everyone, the point is to have fun ;), and yes I know Mai is a low tier character, and lacks alot in RB2, though I still think with the right mind set, I may be able to bring that to my advantage. Playing vs Ghost, is tough, because of how much he knows of the game, what I am going to do, and his execution (Who knows how he does it with a n64 pad even) is spot on, and his mind games are pretty intense. And ironically hes the one whos was teaching me.
Theres some windows of opportunity against Franco, they are super small but I saw them while doing the Franco Challenge. I am still a very low tier player, but I plan on getting much better, ;), and with alot of pointers from Ghost, and hopefully enough reading on this thread, and sparring with some of ya soon, we can do it. I am not playing to win, I am playing to prove my sig ;), but also intend on winning heheh.
If anyone is coming to florida, can pick me up, haha, I’ll go to Final Round, but right now, I am pedestrian, with no means for a plane, and will prob sleep in the car, with no means of a hotel X_X.

I’ll have a hard time training ya, though: between school, moving, boyfriend, writing, and training I’m just swamped.
Speaking of, I’ve just found out for sure that I’m going to Final Round XI. :woot: It was really up in the air with the all of expenses I had coming around the same time (March), but family heard about it and were like, “oh, you’re going! We’ll cover the flight, the rental car, everything.”

If you do a search in the thread for “Xiang” you’ll find info on her scattered across a bunch of posts. There seems to be a lot of people who want to use her, but only one person who really has her as a main (CoosCoos). FullMetalJ’s dabbled with her, and so has DeadlyRaveNeo on occassion. Kinda odd, actually…she might be the most asked about character, but no one really uses her for long or has done a write-up of her.

It could have some use in getting inside, evading sweeps, or setting up a normal throw or 360, but personally I think it’s uses are somewhat limited. Can she move through / over an opponent with it? :wonder:
I tried that on wake up, but it’s too slow.
I am actually learning how to use her… I know most of her good combos and whats what… just got to get faster and learn to counter.
which hop cancel? you mean the hop back or the hop forward hop back is god to get xiang fei back ant an operateable distance… or to relieve some pressure, its fast and is basically her backdash. Hop Forward (ff+a after C) is basically useless, unless people are scared and haven’t seen it before. You can setup 360 with it, but its not really that great cause its slow and not invincible (from what I can tell).
And if your Talking about the foot feint one. Then that one is the worst… ahha. I don’t know on an invincibility or what not but man is it slow.
I have a question I can’t figure out though… how can you do her f,db+f + ab super after her launcher chain? There is a video of her doing it but I don’t see how it works. It seems like s would have to connect first but it doesnt… maybe I’m missing something. Can you chain it after her fireball? blahhhh
