Yeah, I was actually tagging off of Den, the float isn’t very long and I’m unsure if I can even get a charge off of it. What I have been doing is a standforward to sweep to set up Bison’s oki game. It’s just it doesn’t do much damage at all… Like a little over 350 iirc… but then I’m spoiled with my Bison/Juri team. I feel the syenergy is going to outclass Bison/Lili, and I can already see some massive problems in Lili’s game that Juri doesn’t have, but the team is still very viable and fun to use. And Lili is just so stylish and likeable- I always wanted to use her. There’s just something irresistible seeing her dressed up like Bison. She apparently hates him, saying “go away” when she tags in lmao.
I was planning on making a 2013 tutorial on how to play Bison, I get sick of seeing so many bad ones.
Ok so with a team of Lili/Xiaoyu or Lili/Juri (actually the latter one should probably be Juri/Lili), what gems combinations should I have on both characters to maximize their potential? Right now I’m just running some obvious power gems (partner tag and 4 hit combo) with a defense gem (take 4 hits), but maybe I should switch something out for some meter gems for Lili?
It really depends on your playstyle with the characters, to be honest. I would put the meter gems on Juri, because Juri gets meter fast, and doesn’t really do damage out of the corner. If you play Lili aggressively, like I do, then I would go for two power gems (3 special moves, and tech) and a meter gem (4ao special moves). For Xiao, certainly go for 3 power gems, because Xiao likes to do huge damage. For me I have 3 specials, 5 normals and super, because Sparkle Hunting is the best goddamn super in the game.
I think it is if its the move that tracks the opponent on a roll. I cant do this very often but sometimes she does an odd loop on the roll and catches the opponent. It will be very usefull in 2013.
Get those .99 cent resolution or motivation gems and slap those on Lili so she has basically unlimited meter for an entire round. Lili with meter on an oki situation can do whatever she wants with most opponents. Xiaoyu should always have a full loadout of damage gems.
My team is actually Xiaoyu/Lili. I have 3 damage gems on Xiaoyu that activate when I land 3/4/5 specials so two bnb’s is all it takes to have a 60% damage boost for 10 seconds making it so my next mixup KO’s or gets close enough for Lili to clean up on switch cancel. I have Lili set up with 2 Motivation gems that activate on 10 hit combo and 5 normals which is usually after her switch cancel combo from Xiaoyu. That means in round 2 I can start off the match with 2 meters and have no problems getting in on someone who relies on running away since that team suffers at chasedown.
I’m questioning getting those $1 gems. I don’t know if they are banned in tourneys, and regardless of whether I go to one, I want to be playing the game based on the tourney rules.
banned in tourney because TO has to buy these gems. IPL should have all gems available since capcom will fund them. So for road to evo, if sfxt is added, will probably ban gems.
i think a wrote up a match up write up for her. in the match up guide. That thing is so neglected lol. I’ll go fix stuff once the patch drops.
If you block cannon spike it’s a free punish with f.mk>mp which will juggle her and you can do cr.hp to lk sunflower lance.
yuf is right, you could even os a grab and mp counter, but i usually just throw out lp dendrobium off a kd down. it leaves you safe enough and may bait the cammy to do cannon spike. Hope it helps a tad.

try doing cr. hp because you can hit them high, but be careful when you hit them because you will whiff hp den. If you do cr.hp>hp den at the right time you should connect with f.mk>hp.
Hey Im not sure if you guys are running into this but I started to notice this while playing against my friends king since he has those throws that are specific depending on if the opponent is standing or crouching. But when I use cr. mk his through that hits standing can punish me but his other throw whiffs. Is there something wierd about lili’s cr. mk hitbox?
I think her EX knee is a viable reversal. Others prefer to use her EX Rabbit Thorn, or EX Counter.
Angel Knee Ascension is the follow up to her EX Angel Knee. It’s useless now though. At the moment, it only hits your opponent in the air, and you can’t do anything after it.
Ex knee isn’t great to me as a reversal as it whiffs on crouchers and quite a few characters are going to pressure with cr.lp/cr.lk etc on wakeup anyway, but if you read a standing normal, then go for it I guess. It’s a brilliant AA for crossups though as it auto corrects well and may potentially be a great AA in general in 2013 with the acension followup buff
I prefer ex feisty rabbit, it’s “safer” to throw out and if they block it, they eat a 50/50 mixup.
Ascension is the followup to ex knee, in 2013 you can JC it so this creates more combo potential.
