The Emilie de Rochefort (Lili) Thread

I found something useful in training mode. I’ve had problems getting into the right spacing with Lili (right in their face) and finally found a good way to do it. In medium range, do peacock kick, MP, LP, f. MP, c. LK. This gives you a good hit confirm. If you hit them, then do a LK angel knee (timed immediately after c LK), c. HP, LK sunflower Lance. This does 287 damage in an 11 hit combo, which is not great, but then you can do the oki game whereas before you were further out of range then you’d like to be.

If you don’t hit them in the combo, then do another c. LK into LP Dendrobium. This still puts you in range and is frame friendly. This is really an extended combo off of someone’s earlier post I don’t want to search for again, but I give a lot of credit to them. I hope this helps the Lili players out there.

Personally, i do f.mk - mp - cr.mk.
Im generally able to hit confirm of 3 hits and cr.mk hits low so it can still catch people on block. i then do cr.mk to into launcher and do my combo with sagat. giving me about 320 damage.

I’m having a hard time chaining FP into Angel knee. Is it an early input or a late input?

Using Lili in the 2nd slot with Rolento. Man, following up with her on a tag is pretty annoying. Great character though, best AA’s in the game.

Any ideas for follow-ups when Rolento tags Lili in? I have noticed that some of the combinations I’ve tried tend to whiff. All ideas welcome. :slight_smile: For now I’m using (TAG) >> andante >> cr. mk xx lk sunflower lance.

I do c. HP, QCF HP, f. mk, HP. It’s the most effective I’ve seen without using meter and it’s not difficult.

Hey guys, just wanting to find out what you guys use as a combo when you’re wanting to switch cancel in the corner?
Midscreen, I can do LK Angel Knee, cr.HP xx HP Dendrobium (switch), and I can follow up from the float.
e.g. (switch), Guy cl.HP xx Run~Slide, or (switch), Cody cl.MP, cr.HP xx MK Ruffian Kick
That doesn’t work in the corner, as my second character can’t really get there in time to follow up. In that case, what do you guys generally use?
EDIT: Found out that I can follow up LK Angel Knee with cr.HP xx MK Angel Knee, which launches high enough to allow a follow-up. Still, I’m open to suggestions from Lili experts. :smiley:

hk angel knee hits them up pretty high. You should be able to convert something off of that. the corner is always kinda bleh with lili since move such as ex den and ex feisty rabbit to thorn have the wall bounce home to you and that doesn’t give you much time to tag switch. Mostly what you said above works but hk angel is something that will pop them up and enable you to tag switch and capitalize on some damage.

I did find that HK Angel Knee works as well, but I didn’t feel like editing my post again. :stuck_out_tongue:

a few other things you may wanna try are trying to hit sunflower lance at the highest point. he issue with that is that sunflower lance does add a lot of damage scaling. a scenario where you may find yourself doing this is off of a punish rabbit thorn or doing j.lk.>j.mk or j.mp>j.hp. Make sure you do Lk sunflower lance and remember to hit them at your highest point.

If you do cr.mp > cr.mp xx hk knee in the corner, it hits a bit later and you can get a tag cancel combo off that, I usually do it off fake crossup j.mk > cr.mp > cr.mp xx hk knee to Asuka f+lk f+lp > cr.mp xx oni > cr.hk.

I discovered something with Lili recently, and I’m not sure if it’s been discovered before, but regardless, if you finish off a combo with f.mk x hp, you can then back dash, and do her overhead. If they roll, it autocorrects. Yay for Oki!

I think Bunnycap mentioned a similar technique like this. Something to do with holding back during someone’s roll and then pressing :hk: to get her overhead after the roll has finished.

But hey it’s all good in the hood :slight_smile: if you find your own way to do it, then no problem.

By the way, you know in your Sig under Street Fighter X Tekken, I still can’t find the theme of your teams. What is it?

Gah, I forgot to say that it was in the corner. If done in the corner, then the overhead will come out regardless of whether or not they roll, in the direction of the opposing character.

And the main theme is yes, Girls only. And before I picked up Juri x Alisa, it was “Must include Lili”.

I don’t know, for me it’s hard to find stuff with Lili because usually it has been discovered already.

I could say that I have been using her :f:+:lp: > :mp: > :lk: string with some CADC pressure to gain some good advantage on a standing opponent on hit. From there I go into an ambigious EX Dive-kick.
