Not releasing but showcasing a new console this year is too early.
Hmm I think I understand what you mean, but wouldn’t releasing it first before Sony and MS give it an advantage in the competition?
Only if they start making games for it TODAY. I’d expect at least 40+ games on release, with 2 decent fighters and 2 FPS’s to show off its graphics capabilities. It has to be 3x more powerful than the xbox, I dont think twice is enough.
Valve needs to announce Half-Life 2:Episode 3, Portal 2 is out and Gabe said it would be next followed by Counter Strike 2.
I still need to even play Half Life 1…I’m so behind when it comes to Valve. Real bad.
Valve is one of the few things I’m pretty up-to-date with. But everything else in this current gen of gaming?? FAR FAR behind… Now I hear about this Wii 2?? I pretty much have no hope of ever catching up with what’s relevant lol…:shake:
Only Valve game I’ve played is Portal. I loved it and am very hype for Portal 2. I am lookin to get a gaming computer this year and when I do I plan to catch up on the Half Life Series as well as other stuff.
Still just trying to figure out how the hell I’m gonna play on a Keyboard and Mouse tho something I’ve always been TERRIBLE at.
I liked The Orange Box. Half Life 2 was awesome. Did they fuck up somehow on it in a way that a person who never played the pc version would notice?
Apparently shit loads more loading but thats it. Like theres more loading spots so it breaks up the action and narrative. I never played tho so of course I dunno for sure.
If you have the original XBOX version you will definitely get lower quality but the 360/PS3 versions seem to be pretty good alternatives though I haven’t played those versions myself. It’s a 04 game after all so the current consoles handle them pretty well. But if you’re talking about the Orange Box as a whole, then console TF2 is leagues behind the PC.
I think valve should just forget about episode 3 and go onto HL3. Just go all out and make a 15hr+ plus game.
Snatcher would be so godlike.
Nice, did they actually confirm a 2012 window? That would be a hell of a lot easier on everyone I think, and give more time for games and to stock up on consoles.
Nintendo is pushing for a 2012 window.
yes, Gaf updated the original thread with the letter in which they confirmed it and what not
Edit:
actually that’s a whole new thread nm…lemme update that link in the front
Edit 2:
Considering that they are supposed to be having it playable means they’ve easily been working this thing for awhile. Now I’m starting to wonder exactly how long those 3rd party groups in question have had those kits. I’m expecting Nintendo’s press conference this year to be longer than usual.
E3 2011: The Big Games List
E3 2011: The Big Games List - Games News at IGN
List of confirmed titles…This list will get updated as we get closer to E3. I’ll also put this in the opening post.
I must be the only one still waiting on Shenmue 3.
Never give up, no surrender.
I can only hope for an Onimusha collection. Series is very under rated. I hope to see more of Rage and Battlefield 3. Hopefully, Battlefield doesn’t turn out as Medal of Honor did: shitty.
I personally would be excited to play a Shenmue 3 but would prefer to first play the first 2 games. It’d help if the ports were VERY good too.
As for that list, games I’ll be looking into include-
Spidey: Edge of Time
X-Men: Destiny
Super Mario 3DS
Ninja Gaiden III
Jurrasic Park (I really should finish Sam and Max Episode 2 someday =_=, and then get around to playing Telltales other games)
Rayman Origins (although when it coems to release I might wait for the entire game to be out then get it)
The Adventures of Tin-Tin (so the Tin-Tin movie is a go?)
This is what I’m looking forward to:
SFxT
TxSF
Battlefield 3
Rage
Dark Souls
Mass Effect 3
No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City
Batman: Arkham City
