MS isn’t going to underprice the Xbox sex by a $100 to get at Sony. They had trouble lowering the price of the xbox 1 when it first launch, but then again they insist it came with the XB1 Kinect that no one wants or asked for. I am Sure MS miss the point and include some other BS thats no one wants again.

Honestly it wasn’t even bad, it is just the way they explained it was the problem. Hell technically look at music, PC gaming or some movies, we are moving exactly to their vision whether we wanted it or not.

The worst part is, their marketing team seem to only have gotten “Cheaper = More Sales out of it” hence the game of chicken.
Outside of the mandatory check in and the DRM shit I think everyone would have been fine with the presentation and the Xbox brand would have a way better reputation than it does now.
Even after those features and the others that people disapproved of were removed or dramatically changed that one-two-punch of always online and DRM was something they just couldn’t recover from. A lot of people bought the Xbox one out of either
- Brand Loyalty. which imo is fucking stupid.
- Because they’re friends we’re getting it as well. Which albeit, I admit can be a good reason but it should never be a definitive reason or the tipping point of why you’re investing an incalculable amount of money into something
The one thing that Xbone really has going for them was the longest time and arguably still does is their online multiplayer is much better than playstations. So if you have a game that heavily emphasizes multi-player or is strictly multi-player the one is generally a better choice (obviously going by Xbone vs. PS4, idgaf about PC)

PC? PC with the exception of certain games like MMOs has no payways for Online play.

With PC it depends on the game, and even if the game don’t have a multi player, people found ways to make it online multi player anyways

Not being able to play with your friends because you decided to invest into a different platform sucks, although thankfully we’re finally slowly entering the age of crossplay so now you’re not restricted to one console if you want to party up with dudebros in call of duty or something
It’s never been an issue for me honestly. Idc what my friends are playing on. I’m going to play on the system that has the games I want to play.
The only reason I initially chose 360 over PS3 was due to the ports of the biggest majority of the games, fighters included were better on 360. A lot of SRK’ers and irl friends fgc or not also having a 360 was completely irrelevant to me.
