The Dynasty/Samurai/Gundam/Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star) Warriors thread

Also me and my friends are making up something of a “tier list” for the game grouping the characters on several things such as attack efficiency, musou, and the effectiveness that they would be on a solo chaos run. Would anybody mind giving their opinion? So far we’ve decided on Kaguya and Himiko being S tier and Goemon Ishikawa being E tier.

How long did it take to max proficiency for the whole cast?

So the DLC Boomerang weapon is alright, but the Ring Blade makes me think that I wasted a bit of my money. Maybe I “using” it wrong, but it seems to me that there’s enough time for the enemy to block between the last normal attack and the following charge attack in 2-3 of the strings.

I think it’ll take longer to do the 100 banquets.

I remember reading Motochika with someone was pretty fucking OP.

It might just be Motochika with whoever honestly. I can’t remember.

Also depends on what you equip them with…I heard Zhou Yu is stupid broken with the proper setup.

105 gameplay hours. Compared to WO2, that’s a cakewalk.

I remember this one guy on a website (It was some achievement help site) said that the average person will be able to get all character proficiency maxed out between 100-150 hours of play time.

Also if you haven’t heard yet, the fastest way to do it is playing Rescue at Yi Ling with an S rank Dodomeki in your party and two characters.

Actually no it won’t. The banquet achievement counts for all four options that they give you so you can do 100 moon viewings and still get the achievement. I know this because I did at the most 10-15 actual banquets and like 80-90 moon viewings (for the gaiden stages) and I got it after a moon viewing with Benkei and Xu Huang.

Wow, I guess I was totally wasting my time doing those stupid banquets. Thanks for the info.

I have about less than half of the characters done, so that’ll take a while. But I’m glad I don’t have to raise money for the banquets.

Faced Susanoo for the first time…so he can’t be stunned nor guard broken?
I had to throw every musou trick at him.

Is this when he first appears when in chapter 3?

Don’t you not have to defeat him in that one? IIRC?

Wait…WHAT???
I wasn’t supposed to go after him?
Does it mess up any chance of unlocking all the stages/characters?

Nah. When he shows up, just bum rush Cao Pi or whoever you need to kill. Sometimes they tend to float near Susanoo if you take too long. It’s still doable but yea. The first encounter with him you’re not supposed to go after him at all.

Doesn’t mess anything up at all. Nothing gained/lossed if you don’t beat him.

That’s good to know…thanks.

BTW…Samurai Warriors:Chronicles getting a sequel.

Todo Takatora, Yagyu Munenori, and a female character(later to be revealed) will make their UPC SW debut.

Some are guessing it’s Neko Gozen…one of Masamune’s concubines.

Guess I need to get Saint Seiya since no one is talking about it.

Cuz its like 100 dollars.

Just curious, what makes Himiko S-tier?
Also, where are Konoichi, Zhange He, Noh, Masamune and Nemea Ranked?

The strongest SW musou attack in the game behind Kaguya and Susano’o, at least 3 good crowd clearing attacks (C1:3 | C2:1-3 | C4: 3) and her special move increases her attack power for a good 10-15 seconds. Add a good perk setup and a special weapon and you got one beyond broken little girl.

Kunoichi: D Tier

Kunoichi was pretty much given the Third Strike Sean treatment. If you don’t know what that is, it means that they made her from being pretty much the most broken character in the game to barely even useable. They made her Technique category instead of Power like she was in the past WO games, taking away her invulnerability from enemy attacks, and they took her WO2 special move (invincible for 10 seconds with increased attack power) and replaced it with…a weak and useless kunai group throw. With C4-3 nerfed to hell, she has no useful crowd clearing attacks and her C5 almost never actually connects. I don’t even think that perk setups would help her. So she’s put in D Tier.

Zhang He: C Tier

Honestly, I’ve never liked the guy. He’s a little difficult to use, but with some practice and some good perks, he can be quite a force on the battlefield, albeit average. From what I’ve seen, he has only one or two good crowd clearers. His C4 (looks a lot like his Musou 1 in DW7) and his C5 (or is it C6? I’ll have to play I’m again as it’s been a while) His EX attack looks like it would be quite useful, however with it’s single target hitbox style it’s probably best to save it for an officer instead of a soldier. His special attack could be helpful with the Frenzy perk put on his weapon, but if you don’t have it I would save the meter for his musou as it’s pretty strong when it hits. This is why I put him in C Tier.

Nohime: D+ Tier

Don’t really have much to say for Nohime. She only has one good crowd clearer: her C4-2 (she has a special category moveset in SW right?). It’s just not as good as it was in WO2. Her C1-2 is unbelievably ass as it often misses a crowd of enemies more often than not and does not do much damage. I honestly do not see what her special move even is supposed to do. Is it a setup for a bigger explosion or mines set up for enemies to trigger? If someone can help out with this, I’ll appreciate it. The only thing keeping Nohime from a D or even E tier is her musou. It’s surprisingly strong. With a decent crowd clearer in C4-2 and a pretty good musou, Nohime gets a D+. ****

Masamune: N / A

Coming soon. Need more info.

Nemea: C+

What’s so good about this guy? His C2-EX has some good range and does a good chunk of damage plus it doubles as a good crowd clearer along with his special move. His main crowd clearer is C4. Amazing range as it hits around him, then goes forward with a rather large projectile, killing some of the survivors from the first part of the attack and then some. There’s got to be something negative about his playstyle right? There is: his musou hits forward but the range is quite ass. Still it’s one more reason to save your meter for his special attack. With a good EX attack a very strong crowd clearer and a useful special move, Nemea gets a C+.

Again, this is purely opinion, but I’m glad to help out in any way that I can. Hope this helped.

hmmm k how am i supposed to read the Cinterest numbers notation? I understood all the rest though, i think lol.

Damn so Himiko is the only good character in all of my teams?

and i thought Kunoichi’s speed? Nene is Technique. Or are you considering them the same character? coz I dont necessarily agree if thats the case.

Am I right in considering technique ass? idk but it seems the other groups get actual perks (guardbreak, armor, dat airdash) where technique is like “>__> yeah i got nothin”. Or maybe i’m just too busy mashing and playing like a derp to actually see what technique does.

What are the tiers based on?

What weapon setup…with what abilities?
Playing Chaos mode?
What items are being used…if any?

I noticed too that Technique in this game is subpar…while Power/Speed are great.
Wonder is fun to mess with too.

I would like to figure out who’s da best in this game…just don’t have the time.

Finally got Mitsuhide…definitely going to match his 4th weapon from SW1.

Again…Masanori is just stupid good in this game. I abuse his C4, C5, and R1 all freaking day.
