I’m in love with the Dynasty Warriors series. It seems like a lot of people I know don’t like it because it’s repetitive. Well, I enjoy slaying thousands and thousands of units with one person, it makes me feel powerful.
The first one I’ve ever played was DW3
Anyway, I’m looking forward to DWG2.

I am SO HYPED too! I have been for a while now! What kept me going? The prospect of using Heero or Master Asia to BEAT THE SHIT out of the Gundam Seed Destiny characters!
So far the english voice-acting sounds POI-FECT!! And I’ll get the chance to give Lacus real butt-hurt!
That, and I’ve always wanted to rock faces… with Ramba Ral.
[Edit] Also: I might have just imagined it from a long time ago… but didn’t they try out a Medieval version of Dynasty Warriors once that never caught on? With knights and the what-not?
That was Bladestorm: The 1000 Year War. Game is cool from what I saw but you might have to play the demo for yourself to make a call on that.
DWG2 is tomorrow. I still have shit to do in 1. But this a must cop this week and payday’s coming, so no excuses here.
And kinda off topic but I gotta ask, I’ve been thinking about playing Sengoku Basara and was wondering what versions of the game do I need to cop? Cause I saw 2Heroes on Wii but I heard you have to have a save from 2 on Wii as well. So hopefully someone can clear this up for me.

I’m probably gonna hold off on DW:G2 until I finish some DW:G and DW6…that Musha Gundam is a bitch.
You can transfer files from 2 to Heroes…but it’s not mandatory. It’s basically to transfer character data and certain items.
Gametrailers put up some new gameplay vids for the PS2 and PS3 version…It looks like some sort of training mode?
I thought DWG2 came out on the 21st…
Anywho, as many problems as I have with the first and with DW in general, replaying DWG1 recently was a blast, both alone and coop. I still hate how there’s no coop over LIVE in part 2, or the ability to sign in as two users so you can each work towards your own unlocks/levelling/etc., and I’m pretty sure that you won’t be able to reverse your left/right camera controls because this is Namco and damned if they understand that LEFT means MOTHERFUCKING LEFT.
But, I’m getting part 2 for my brother as a late birthday present, and I must admit that I’m also looking forward to playing. Yes, SMS Team, I have ulterior motives. You cannot stop me. I am the master of the east/west/north/south/center/Jesus. I am Super Asia, yada yada yada. I’m like Gen on Supercrack.
I love the English voices just because they’re almost parodying the Gundam series’s cornball dialog. Kamille talking = me laughing; what a fucking nutjob that guy is. 
Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 is supposed to be coming out today for 360 and PS2…but I read somewhere the PS3 version will come shortly after.

The more I play this game, the more I enjoy it. Each time I play, I learn a bit more. Like whenever I’m in combat with another officer, and I hear the gong…everyone makes a circle, and I guess it becomes like a duel mode. What sucks about that is when I’m triple teamed by other officers, and get merc’d by a lowly lieutenent.
I also like the Renbu system now…especially when it reaches lvl3-infinite. Sima Yi is a beast on Inf. Renbu. I hope it makes it into future installments of the series.
I have a better understanding of how the weapons are classified…and getting how some characters are best with strength or speed. Still, IMO Standard is the best for average.
My favorite stages to run shit is Fan Castle(Shu), and Hu Lao Gate.
Chang Ban is the WORST stage…especially for Wei. Fuck you Zhang Fei for becoming all ubercharged and shit killing me off my horse with one strike. Fuck you Liu Bei got going Orochi and killing ALL my officers…just because I accidentally ran over one of your precious peasent! That peasant was in my way, and the camera angle was working against me!
Another little thing I like about the game is the things officers say. Like if I rush a group by myself, they say some smart shit about kicking my ass, then I smash them:
Generic officer: Alone, you amuse me greatly.
Guan Ping: You come along, you think Shu are fucking scrubs??!!?
Shu has become my favorite in this game. Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei and Zhao Yun got great weapons and movesets that pretty much hold their own when building up Renbu. Zhuge Liang’s moveset is struggling, and I end up using his charge attack…alot. Still, Zhuge Liang is so badass that many people curse his name in their Musou modes. Yeah…I’m looking at you Zhou Yu.
Wu is in the middle. I think Sun Jian got the best visual makeover in the game, with Guan Yu being 2nd and Liu Bei being 3rd. He looks like a beast. Sun Shang Xiang’s weapon to me is very hard to use in the beginning. Difficult to get enemies, and her Charge air attack is wtf’ish, but as she levels up and gets more powerful weapons, she’s damn near broken. I make sure she gets Renbu Spirit and air wave weapons. Lu Xun actually does well, and Gan Ning w/ shadows owns raided crowds. I hate Sun Quan…
Wei got SHAFTED in this game. Dian Wei is terrible! A chained ball…seriously? Even with Standard is does nothing good. Even with Inf. Renbu his attacks are lacking? Even his Musou was lacking. What happened man?:shake: You were the bomb in Warriors Orochi. And you, Xiahou Dun…a meat tenderizer? Atleast your special ruin peons shit. Sima Yi struggles IMO like Zhuge Liang, but get him to Inf. Renbu, Ice/Flash…and he owns shit. His Musou is the one of thebest looking. Zhang Liao is a monster, when get gets leveled up…and I don’t even like the guy. Cao Cao needs more shockwave.
At this point I’ve unlocked everyone except for Dong Zhuo, Lu Bu, and Sun Quan. I’ve only played characters that have Musou modes. After so I’ll probably take a break until Empires comes out.
Yeah right. Koei…I don’t know how to quit you. I got DW6: Special for PS2 and DW vol.2 for PSP.
Please Koei…please bring back Jiang Wei.
I’m a huge DW fan. Recently beat DW6 and got 1000/1000 achievements on Warriors Orochi 2, which took FOREVER.
I tried the demo for DW: Gundam part 1 and it was ok. Is part 2 supposed to be any better? I’ll probably pick it up anyway just because I’m a fan of hack and slash DW games.
Gundam 2 is supposed to be better where as suits will get more hit strings, AI is supposedly better, and bigger maps.
While Japan gets DLC mission and suits…US/EU might get an online vs mode.
I might get it soon because the PS3 version of a DW/Koei game tends to vanish quickly.
I bit the bullet and bought WO2 for PS2 since I was getting frustrated with the slow release of WO2 for PSP.
I loved Warriors Orochi 2. My favorite so far out of all the DW games.

I guess luckily for me…WO2 for the PS2 is hard to find.
Besides, I got Dynasty Warriors Vol.2 for the PSP and others to tide me over until WOZ comes out. I’ll start on the PSP game tonight.
The only dlc japan has gotten is extra missions which aren’t anything special.

Time can only tell about that one…Koei is being tight lipped about DW6: Empires so far.
I read that the Renbu system may be changed or even taken out of Empires.
I’m hoping for some online co-op action as well.
