I remember a while ago Geese Pants mentioning that Koei-Tecmo had a “big announcement” recently. Perhaps it was the fact that they made <a href=“http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2013-02-04-tecmo-koei-returns-to-healthy-profits-in-q3”>big</a> <a href=“http://www.digitallydownloaded.net/2013/02/tecmo-koei-posts-massive-mega-gigantic.html”>profits</a> recently?
So far, there’s been no news of DW8 coming stateside. I guess that’s because DW7: Empires has yet to come out stateside, but perhaps this news of Koei-Tecmo’s good profits ensure that DW8 will have a western release. If it does, I can only hope that it includes english voice acting. A lot of the recent Warriors titles have been download-only with only Japanese voice-over. After buying Warriors Orochi 3 recently, I now have come to a greater appreciation for the english voice acting in a Warriors game. I find it hard to read all the dialogue and focus on the combat at the same time; especially on harder difficulties.
Well, regardless of what happens with it, I’m super hyped for DW8. All the revealed characters and new gameplay additions make me want to play this really bad.
I hope this means that DW8 will be able to come stateside dubbed…and on disc.

As far as the talk about KT making alot of $$, I really do pray that yall are on to something with them doing the English dubs and Western localization.
I was going to write a long review about KR2, but I can’t be assed.
Story is more fleshed out and true to the manga, but the gameplay is vastly simplified.

I don’t think we can count out English dubbing just yet. Dynasty Warriors Next came with English VA. I don’t see why they would omit that from a console release.
DW7:Empires Demo now up on PSN…recreated most of my CAWs from the previous iteration.
After playing through Ken’s Rage 2’s story mode, which was fucking awesome btw but that’s because HnK is a man’s anime/manga, I really want a proper Bleach Musou now. I know the manga is still ongoing but I think they could cover the manga up to Aizen’s defeat. That’s about what, 400 chapters? Such a story mode would last 25+ hours at least. The character roster would also likely be 50+ and that’s not even including the jobbiest of jobbers (Fraccions, most of the Vice Captains).

Well damn…Omega Force took out Xu Shu’s broken moveset from this demo.
I can’t find that broken fencing sword moveset neither.
You mean the one with the super sized Rapier? that’s gonna hurt.
I also am not feeling the lack of charcaters in the name building. JPN demo had the symbol for Prime now it is omitted.
I actually saw the lightning sword…it’s there.
Meanwhile, the Boomerang is my new favorite weapon.
Yeah it’s pretty dope especially with that Capo kick ex attack wasn;t a fan of the supers though. so I switched it up.
That weapon switch in it is nuts!
Only Shu got updated this week? Hah. Koei’s really dragging out the final reveals.
However…one thing that means is that Shu will have a lot of the video updates this week. I can’t wait to see Wei Yan’s video. I sincerely hope one of his musou attacks is that headbutt grab he has in Warriors Orochi 3. That move is seriously badass and needs to be in every DW game from now until the end of time.
Well DW8 is coming out in 2 weeks in Japan…and they don’t have much left to reveal.
I’m sure this week we’ll get a Shu PV, and a bunch of gameplay vids.
Next week most likely conclude Wei (Cao Ren and Wang Yi) and the rest of the Others (Meng Huo, Zhurong, and ???)
Word is that the surprise Other is Zuo Ci…but I’m hoping Omega Force pulls a swerve and introduces a new Others characters.

Zhuge Dan’s new moveset is all types of gully and gutter. I love it! He’s has so much swagger and style with the way he swings his baton and then process to toss ppl and do the people’s elbow. Prolly my favorite new moveset by far.

It’s also nice to see that they’re making subtle changes to characters who kept their old weapons from DW7, plus, it seems that they buffed air dashing too.
