Probably looking forward to this guy the most. Do assists work during commands normals?
Destruction x3 as an assist would be far and away the best assist in the game.
first off this is my first vs. game that i’ll be playing and let me say i cant wait! in every fighter i play im always playing rushdown characters, i use gief in super. but let me say that i have been gravitating towards dorm for some reason.
i have a question, would it be possible to have a team for keep away and rushdown? like a combination of dorm, dante, doom, skrull?
Two quick questions:
- It’s probably not known yet, but can you guard break with stalker flare? Looks possible if you have it out soon enough.
- Has anyone seen a combo out of stalker flare? Seth said in the dorm demo vid that you could combo after it. I have some ideas bout comboing back into it after a otg purification I’m dying to try.
Team’s do not succeed or fail off or themes, but synergy. Synergy exists on four levels: assists, DHCs, THCs, and metagame. In a perfect world your team works on all of these levels, but most top teams do not function well as a THC, and it’s not a big deal. Check out this topic and read the questions; it will get you thinking about what makes for a good team:

Last it was checked, Advancing Guard drops Absolute Guard, so if you perfectly time a teleport after someone uses Advancing Guard on Stalking Flare, you can cause it to cross-up. Otherwise, your chances are not likely.
Nothing deep, just a Purification column and such, or a DHC like Chris’ level 3 or Trish’s hyper version of Round Trip. Most people are running from Stalking Flare because they are new to the game and want to try to “outlast” it. Once that stops, you’ll probably see some more interesting things happen with it.
Hmm never thought about this but will dorms purification column make for a good AAA?
It’s very good if it’s out, but it’s slow. You have to use it on prediction, because there is no way in hell the column is getting out in time on reaction.
^That, I see it better used to fill space, and limit there Opp movements with an assist like Dante’s jam session etc.
Ah ok thanks guys, ill probably just go with a dp assist since those also work as GTFO me assists.
As I said a few pages ago, his health is a tiny bit above average. I was overestimating Ryu’s, slightly, but yeah. Dormammu confirmed for 1,000,000 health.

I was thinking more along the lines of stalking flare catching an incoming character forcing block, then chaotic flame as they drop after blocking.kinda like cables gunshot, ahvb in mvc2.
Manly tears of joy here.
Oh. That has not yet been tested.
You can take more than one action in the air now, so that type of unblockable doesn’t work anymore iirc.
I wonder Dormammu’s level 3 is actually antiground like Blanka’s antiground ultra combo…
I cant seem to think for a reason to his fly mode, unless you can can do purification or the power release thing while flying
His flight will have a use as many other of his tools, the game just needs to come out so we know what they are.
Same. ;_;
I’m very pleased by this fact. Anyone got a link to character health or something?
At the very least, air combo extension and added mobility.
I don’t know why the original list was deleted, but I posted it on GFAQs here:

Awesome, Morrigan has a bit less than Dormammu. I don’t mind Trish’s low health, especially if my other two characters can hold their own for a while. Team Dormammaries has been decided then haha. Not even funny how bad I want this game; a LOT of time is going to be spent in training mode.
Which of Dormammu’s assists are best for lockdown? I would say it’s a toss up between Dark Hole and some configuration of Liberation. Any thoughts?
