I got to see DJ Marky at Womb in Tokyo last summer and this was tune of the night. Imagine hearing this on a huge system with hundreds of sweaty Japanese girls dancing around you, and a giant disco ball and fog machines go off when the tune drops. :lovin:
:amazed:
anyone got another good mix too recommend?
As a matter of fact… here’s a mix I did of my favorite tracks from 2005:

Runtime: 64:07 minutes
Power Ballad -> Jazz is my favorite part.
^ yay
I’ve been browsing on youtube and stumbled upon 150 volts. I really like this song, but I can’t find the album anywhere.
you wont get that on a album, like i said before artists djs didn’t do albums especially back in 92, they’d release an EP which was basically a record consisting from 2 to 4 tracks
the only album you might find it on is one of those cheesy back to the old skool cds or OLD compilation cds from back in the day, other than actually buying the record theres not much chance of you actually finding that tune, you might be able to get it digitally, but the chances are slim, like i’ve said before dling this stuff is like looking for a needle in a haystack
I Love LTJ Bukem…
Hello. A quick shout-out to BenMonkey:
I just wanted to say thankyou for these d/ls you’ve shared with use here
at SRK. They’re not just off the hook—they’re keepers. Keep it up.
marches on

Thanks, glad you guys are feeling the mixes. I’ve got plenty and I’ll keep posting them as long as there’s demand.
Here’s one of my favorites, covering 10 years of dnb from 1994 to 2004. Each track really represents the sound from that year IMO and it’s a nice history lesson for people new to the genre too.
Download: Ben Lewis - Timeline: A Decade of Drums

Runtime: 37:07
Nice quick mix to clean the apartment to. Rings Around Saturn is still one of the most sublime tracks ever, even 13 years later.
bump
maan those hospital podcasts are like crack to me. i cant stop listening to em. same with those podcasts on dubplate digest. ive been listening to dnb for over a year now and i finally realize i only really feel that liquid funk/atmospheric/intelligent dnb sound. that jump up or dark stuff just isnt workin for me. I also feel that drumfunk at times.
im sure most new cats to dnb would like the stuff im listening to ATM. I gotta post some key tracks of mine
apex - weeping willow ( Horizons )

IMO most solid tune that has came out in 08 so far. with the exception of the logistics - reality checkpoint album
Alix Perez - Crooklyn ( Soul R )

very intelligent atmospheric sound im lookin for. got that crooklyn dodgers sample in it. beautiful
Random Movement - she dont get it

as far as i can tell this tune has been blowing up in the states. i heard it in a lot of mixes last year. probably old now lol. The definition of solid, simplistic liquid funk, though.
yes I love Crooklyn I listen to that song like very morning.
Dangit! Can someone PM me about the ways I can get the song from DJ
Dan - ‘I Don’t Care’?? I cannot seem to find any means to get it, through
googling, his site, SoulSeek or even LimeWire. I want it…

Check out Danny Byrd’s new album (I think he’s on hospital records as well)

^^ Would be more accurately classified as old skool breakbeat hardcore / jungle circa 93’.
On the DNB tip, Telemetrik has been tiding me over after seeing Evol Intent and Gridlok throw down a few weekends ago.
yeah that wishdokta tune is superb. He also recorded under the name Xenophobia. Rush in the house is cheesey as fuck, but a superb tune. His tunes with Vibes were good too (he seemed to curb vibes cheesey side). Was he behind the naughty naughtys as well? Think he was. 1 & 3 being my faves!
His real name (well for production anyways, not sure aboure real life) is Grant Nelson, who ran nice n ripe records. Nice n ripe did some excellent early house and garage, not sure if its still going or not. 24 Hour experience and Big Bird EP are awesome dancefloor tunes.
