The DHC Trick - Damage & Hit-Stun Scaling Reset

Question regarding hit-stun scaling and the DHC glitch: My team is (magz/storm/spencer), wesker, akuma.

Starting with magz/storm/spencer I can start the DHC glitch with their respective hyper combos then DHC into wesker’s counter hyper. From here I am trying to land my normal BnB which is (after the Wesker counter) OTG gunshot, c.MHS ^ j. MMHS, land, dash + akuma tatsu assist, OTG gunshot (tatsu hits), S, j. MMHS, land, OTG gunshot, reset/whatever

Unfortunately my opponent seems to fall out of the combo soon after the second launch (after akuma’s assist hits). I’m confused by this because I thought that hit-stun completely resets when using the DHC glitch. At the same time, I just watched the ClakeyD Revelations matches and he was doing like 60 hit combos using magz/woverine DHC glitch and clearly it seemed like the hit-stun had been completely reset. Is there something weird about Wesker in this regard or can somebody explain to me whats going on? ty in advance

Easier to juggle st or cr l-mhs post glitch OTG gun shot for wesker. Yeh it resets that why you can even pick them up off the ground with gunshot, gunshot adds quite a bit of sclaing so after the second relaunch need to do launch h xx super only for max damage.

Can somebody please help me with some ideas to get started with my team of Morrigan / Dante / Amaterasu? I’m not looking for full combos or anything I just need a setup that will work with these three.

…I don’t think Morrigan can start the DHC glitch, so you’re kinda…fucked.

If you put Dante first, you can activate the DHC glitch using either the grappling hook or Crazy Dance into Devil Trigger and finish into either Morrigan’s Astral Vision or Ammy’s slow Super.

Best team order would probably be Dante/Morrigan/Ammy. I believe Ammy can do it off her counters, but it’s not reliable.

Seriously though, consider dropping Morrigan; she’s dead weight on that team.

airtag into dante then dhc trick back to morrigan, it is a 66% chance to kill that way.

I like this. I need to find a way to use DHC glitch with hulk but my teams with him consist of hulk/Doom/wesker or ryu/hulk/wesker boo :frowning:

It doesn’t get completely reset, hitstun is time based so I think that the super flash time counts toward the hitstun decay.

dhc glitch from a regular throw, is it useful?
sntinel command throw, whiff super, dhc…
magneto throw, wiff tempest, dhc…
is it better to just go for a reset?

I would assume its situation dependent. Are you getting a grab in at low health and can maximize damage off of it by Glitching?

I have a few DHC glitch/trick-related questions that I hope you fine folks will assist me with. I would be able to test out some of this stuff but my girlfriend is hoarding the 360.

Assume I’m using Haggar/Tron/Doom

  1. I do a DHC glitch from Haggar -> Tron. Tron continues the combo. Now, if she does a super and DHCs again, does she DHC into *Doom *or does she go back into Haggar? Logic says it should be to Doom but I got so caught up on the set up last time I was practicing I didn’t do any simple DHCs just to check this.

2.a) Assuming it DOES DHC to Doom (alliteration ftw), could you now set up a *double *DHC glitch? Meaning, Haggar->Tron, combo into grapple, backdash, King Servbot xx Sphere Flame, OTG, shenanigans?

I know that a single DHC trick should be enough to kill I was just wondering if it is possible to do 2 tricks in the same combo.

2.b) Assuming it DHCs back to Haggar instead, I’ve been working on figuring out how to combo into Tron’s grapple without using her ground bounce, DHCing to Haggar for Body Press, then comboing into air pipe with Haggar, and restarting the DHC trick all over again. Does this just not work?

  1. Haggar’s Body Press is nice to get unscaled, but you can’t really continue the combo unless it’s really situational (King Servbot is still working his magic). Suppose I had Deadpool instead of Tron. Here’s the situation I’m looking at:

Deadpool combos into Cuttin’ Time, DHC’s to Flying Body Press (in time for the glitch), then Haggar immediately DHC’s into Sphere Flame (we’re going to assume the opponent is in the corner at this point). Am I right to assume that Sphere Flame would be unscaled just as Body Press was? Or, rather, Body Press would “restart” the scaling counter and Sphere Flame wouldn’t be nearly as scaled as it normally would if the DHC trick wasn’t present in the combo?

I suppose Deadpool is a bad example as most of his super hits before you DHC, but the question is basically, is it worth foregoing damage on the lead-in super in order to increase damage on the 2nd DHC?

Thanks for any advice on the matter.

  1. It would go back to Haggar because MvC3 is stupid that way. You could get around it by blowing 3 meters and DHC all the way to Doom.

2.a)Yes, you can keep it going forever. I know a few “infinites” involving DHC glitches and TAC’s. The only limiting factor is meter.

2.b)I think your best bet would be to just tag Haggar back in during King Servbot if you’re intent on comboing with him. You can always DHC glitch back into Tron if you have the meter.

3)If Haggar had connected with the Body press, then the Sphere flame would count as the second hit of the combo, which would basically amount to negligible damage scaling considering the move hits so many times. It would still inflict around 340k if you’re getting all the hits.

Spencer is a good example of DHC’ing early on in the super. A lot of characters can only combo if you cancel after Spencer launches the opponent in the air during Bionic Maneuvers (about halfway through the super, before the real damage kicks in). That’s usually not a bad thing because you’ll still probably kill the opponent (Haggar might be a bad example shrug) and you’ll end up building way more meter in the process.

Hope that helps

yes you can double glitch in a combo. as for who comes out next depends on when you do it. If servebot hits and then you do something like s:h: into another super then haggar would come back out because the second super already ended and you ended back up in a normal state to do a move inbetween supers.

I retract my earlier statement a few pages ago. Spiderman CAN start the DHC glitch.

Thanks a lot for answering my questions.

There’s a chun dhc trick on here. Please rate and comment.

Here’s Spidey starting the DHC glitch

Very nice contributions you two

Thank you nice av

Surprising that no one had thought of simply using Web Ball until now, very nice find.
