i remember that best buy … that’s where I camped out to get a PS3 when they came out, but they ended up doing a raffle there so we rolled to target instead.

So what is the overall feeling of AE?

It’s… different. After watching Japan blow up both coasts, it was kind of hilarious counting how many times the commentators said something to the extent of “I don’t know why this just happened”. It also seems like some of the nerfs aren’t quite as drastic as they seem, but it’s only week one here in the US so we’ll see what happens at Evo.

The twins are definitely beatable. Yun will cease to be a big deal when America learns when they can push buttons. People were already using anti-dive kick technology, but also lunge punches can be stuffed (this happened a lot accidentally).

It’s too early to say it’s unbalanced or even to say some characters are definitely terrible except maybe Blanka. I think people will just have to adjust their game not to turtle as much.

Feels a lot more offensive overall… That could be because the majority of good characters (at the moment) have an offensive style now. There’s a lot more “checking” being done to keep opponents on their toes and what not. Rounds can go a lot more quickly as a result of these things. I’m liking it. I don’t feel there’s any need for nerfs like the masses have been saying (really? so soon?) and I also feel like the tiers as they stand won’t last. But I also play Yun now so maybe I’m biased.

Yeah I actually had fun playing it this past weekend. Still need to find out some links with Yang. My E. Ryu and Oni is still green but and I love his U2. I caught my friend 6 times with that ultra. Makes up for the 12 times I lost rounds because of EX lunge punch.

I still love my favorite white girl in the world ( next to K-Stew :lovin:). I had to replace Sagat in my “arsenal” with Oni. It’s like Capcom was Beyonce and they told Akuma “partner let me upgrade ya”. :looney:

I was watching the CEO stream and I happend to see Jago’s Bison (bipson) get mauled by Marn’s dive kicks. The rounds did seem faster though. I was wondering if there were any major differences. Appreciate the info.

I think ae is good. Rounds go by much quicker so the importance of reading is definitely there. People get punished hard in this game compared to the other versions. Seems almost like a normal sf honestly. Extremely broke char then really really good chars right behind. Learning matchups will be key in this game, seems like winning counters is a little more easier.
