Jason said pretty much how I feel. The game seems to be really based on reading, and it DOES feel more like real SF than any other iteration of SF4.
On that note, who’s playing today? SBO training, IMO.
EDIT- I have a Sanwa circle gate lying around. It’s cool. Sanwa circle gate, plus hard spring, really feels like a P360.
oh cool. yea i grew up on happ and wanted to try sanwa. sanwa initially felt way too loose so i put like 2 or 3 extra springs in mine to stiffen it up, and w/the octo gate it feels somewhat close to happ did. but i got used to it and now like it a lot more than happ sticks, and sanwa buttons i like a lot more than the happ buttons (once i got used to how sensitive they are). and once i tried to go back to my happ stick, it felt so weird and everything about it just felt so clunky and large.
figure i might as well give the circle gate a try for a bit and see if i like it. i mean i like the octo gate just fine but would like to see how it compares to the circle gate.
I punish the dive kicks with standing roundhouse with no problem. plus if you stand block and the hit you waist up I believe the are -3 so you can throw them.
I think circle is way better than octo.
Marn was getting away with a lot of dumb shit before Mike Ross put dem hands on him. It’s like people went from blocking all the time in Super to feeling like they didn’t have to block at all in AE.

props to lizard lick, my parts already shipped out and i ordered less than 2 hours ago. i remember after sf4 came out they got totally overwhelmed with orders and were taking up to 3 months to fullfil orders heh.
not reallly a surprise tokido/daigo won. They both have more games played on AE than the entire rest of the top 8 in their tournaments combined (minus Mago of course, but speaking of US players).
I don’t feel like Mike Ross gimmicks were anything next level (except if that whole losing the first match to gamerbee was intentional in which case that would be gdlk)
He just stopped hitting buttons and walking so much.
