I FINALLY finished MMZ2 with A-rank! Elpizo was hard… but he wasn’t THAT bad. Currently playing MMZ3 (restarting whenever my rank drops down from A…)
I also finally finished Metroid Prime on Hard! I actually never finished it normally; I started over and decided to play on Hard, which extended my playtime more than it should but it was fun. Got 100% too; saw the extra ending clip.
Got an X-Box recently, and playing through Halo before Halo 2 comes out.
Still always working on City of Heroes and FF11 (veeeeeeeery slowly).
Gradius V!!! Most enjoyable 2D scrolling shooter in recent memory.
I was given a copy of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door as a belated birthday present recently. I played the prologue, and for an RPG this seems pretty fun. I like the way each attack kinda turns into a little mini-game. It makes it seem like the game requires more skill than most RPGs.
But mostly still playing Viewtiful Joe. Beat the Magnificent 5 as Silvia, and then hung out in the first room of the next level building up V-Points until I had purchased all of the upgrades from the shop. Using the Red VFX Bottle, I was able to get huge combos. My best: maxed out the V-meter with a Big V90, plus 9 little Vs, and a multiplier of 21. Took almost two minutes for my points tally to add all of that in. It turned into a glowing white blur.
Still getting the hang of Advance Wars. I’ve passed four missions on Field Training. I’ve been taught how to capture buildings, join units and use mountains for my advantage. Great, great game. I’m soooooooooo loving it.
As for DarkStalkers 3, BB Hood owns. She has excllent speed and her DF powers rule.
Since this is SRK, I’m playing Street Fighter Anniversary on PS2. I’m trying to beat each game on the hardest level without losing a round. I’ve been using Ryu (since he’s got fireballs and good regular moves). I finished Third Strike (took me awhile because of cheap ass, high-priority Gill). And I keep messing up on Akuma in Hyper Streetfighter.
I’ll probably go back to playing FF-X2 once I’m done…
i may realize the game im about to mention is older than yesterdays leftovers but i still enjoy playing gta vice city im not sure why esp since ive beaten this masterpiece so many times but yet i still wanna give props to Rockstar games for putting out a wonderful worlk of art
E-DOGG
I finally have GTA: SA! Early in the AM hours, I spent my time playing taxi driver. Some broad gave me $5 for my troubles. I felt like that was a rip off so I ran her over. Cheapskate. I already have a pistol and a knife for weapons. The pistol I got off of some dead thug and the knife I took from some hooker that I beat down outside of CJ’s house. The first city alone is HUGE. I haven’t even done any real missions yet and I’m having so much fun.
I also got GTA Advance but I haven’t played it yet.
“avoid Gamefaqs like the black plague”???
what is exactly wrong with gamefaqs i find they are the best advice for gamers on the net if there is a better site on the net please let me know?
thank you
Dunno I’m on the GameFAQs forums myself, but all I ever hang out at is the 8-bit NES message board.
Touched GGX2 #Reload for XBox for the first time in a couple of weeks. I decided to break out of my Sol and Chipp barrier and start learning Ky, Zappa and Potemkin. They’re so damn awesome.
Gfaqs is good to just see what kind of silly things the average users there post. The actual good part of Gfaqs is the FAQs, and that’s it, imo. Where does one even begin here…?
-rediculous censorship.
-odd limitations.(new people can only post so many messages unless something recently changed about the system.)
-elitists (any random comment = “your just a n00b. shut up, n00b.” <<incorrect usage of “your” to add realism to the quote, btw. This isn’t even getting into the whole karma thing, and how that constantly gets attacked in various arguments. >>“Well, you talk big for someone with -1 karma…”)
-people actually make a distinction between “newb” and “n00b”.
-wild, barely-believable claims. Smash Bros. Melee –
" yeah, I beat Very Hard All-Star mode with No-Damage Clear…as PICHU!"
“dude ur lying.”
“yeah, proof please.”
"I don’t have a camera or scanner…you’ll just have to take my word for it." (People who play Smash know exactly how rediculous such a claim is. And yep, those are loose quotes of a real discussion that happened on the Melee gfaqs board. That’s what made it funny and entertaining though…I miss that bastard TMOG…the place just isn’t the same without him.)
and then there’s the absence of other simple pleasures that are common and expected of nearly every other forum on the net—(especially forums that are meant to appeal to gamers) —avatars, emoticons, etc. small stuff that make a forum more visually interesting than just ascii text on a boring ass blue/white background.
ReggieHadoken—whoahhhh…GTA Advance is already out!!! Ohhhhh I need that…immediately
Playing random games, and MvC2. Getting pretty good with Sent, but I reeeeeeeally need some new buttons for my stick. I think constantly practicing tj infinites with Magneto (or even just playing Magneto) is a quick way to kill some buttons
I agree about Zappa and Potemkin, but I FUCKING HATE KY. Cool character with a boring play style (to me at least). Testament has been my character since day one, but I’m also a threat with Chipp, Potemkin, and Zappa. Been a while since I’ve played reload or xx seriously, but I’ll probably get back into it closer to T6. I’m focusing on MvC2 and ST for now.
I’ve been playing San Andreas (which is BADASS) and FFX-2 recently, but just now I FINALLY beat Zelda 2 on NES. That Thunderbird is an evil, EVIL creation…
Right now I’m so hooked on GTA: SA. I’m still getting used to the huge first city. I have over $8000. Most of it came from taxi missions. I finally got access to the gym. I’m gonna buff CJ up and make him a speed demon.
I took a detour from FFX-2 and started a new quest in Persona 2: Eternal Punishment and picked up Ragnarok Online once again. So off the top of my head I still need to get around to these games in the near future:
Star Ocean 3
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne
Phantom Brave
Disgaea
Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door
Romance Of The Three Kingdoms IX
Unlimited Saga
Wind Waker
Silent Hill 3 & 4
Sword of Mana
And I’m sure there’s countless other games I’ve yet to beat and play…not too mention a whole bunch of new games are to be coming out for all systems as well as the Nintendo DS, which seems too cool to pass up. I’m going to wait on Everquest 2 and make sure that’s a game I want to invest my time in.
I finally completed my challenge of finishing both games on SF Anniversary without losing a round. Now, I plan on winning every round with a perfect (kidding, that’s impossible).
Seeing as some of you are playing FFX-2, I thought I’d ask a couple of questions. I’m currently on chapter 2. It doesn’t seem like I can access any of the other garment grids except first step and the ones that boost your defense and grants blind. Is there something I need to do? And where is a good place to get AP to acquire abilities?
Also what are some good dresses/jobs? I only like warrior so far.
Really?? I remember reading from a few different places that IX was better than VIII. I also have VIII lying around somewhere, but I never got around to playing that one. The last one I devoted time to was VI on PSOne. My favorite though is IV: Wall of Fire. I guess I’ll try out VIII before IX then.
I’m trucking away on GTA: SA. I got access to a clothing store and I hooked CJ up with some new duds. He’s sport a green t-shirt, a yellow watch, blue low top gym shoes, and a white/green ball cap. Oh yeah, he’s also sporting some dog tags. Did my first drive-by shooting last night. Took me two tries. On the first try I kept getting out of the car to pick up the goods from the dead goons so that costed me the mission. I evaded my first 3 star wanted level by booking it back to CJ’s house and saving. Turns out that saving at CJ’s house not only refills his health, but it kills his wanted level. I stole a police motorcyle. Man, those things KICK!! You can just buzz through traffic with ease. I also took a drive through the country side for a bit. Man, driving through the country is so much fun and relaxing.
I played GTA Advance for a while last night. Its gonna take me a while to get used to the controls because they’ve changed them up a bit from what I knew on the 2D GTA games. Left is left and Right is Right and so on. I passed two missions so far. I almost got killed on my 2nd mission. Dude was coming at me with a bat. And he was good with that bat. I was sucking on my shooting skills so by the time I passed the mission, I was down to 16 health. Now I gotta find some medical kits so I can get my health back. The dumb hospital takes $1000 from you for fixing you up. Bump that. I need my green. People are ALWAYS figting in GTAA. You can’t drive down a street without seeing or hearing someone get beat up. :wow:
