I’ve got something to say about a little known arcade game called XX mission:

FUCK THAT DAMN GAME!!! the fucking thing doesn’t end!!! I’ve flown all across the fucking planet, the sea, into outer fucking space, OUTER SPACE IN A FUCKING F-14!!! And back to the land again, but there is no end!!! FUCK the people who made it!! FUCK THEM IN THE ASS WITH BROKEN GLASS!!!

-Starhammer-

Started playing Pikmin 2 recently and I got to say I really like it, but hate the fact that I am now on day 18 and have killed nearly a hundred Pikmin, 25 of which I left them somewhere and forgot where it was before time ran out. 10 of which I disband my party only to have them walk into some poison which I didn’t realize they would do. The rest died because of my incompetence at leading them. And I haven’t even gotten blue or yellow Pikmin yet either.

Beat X-Men. I was actually working on maxing out every character, but The game froze after nearly an hour in the Danger Room, so I just said fuck it and beat Master Mold at lvl 37. My final team was still Gambit/Woverine/Storm/Psylocke, though I had to switch to Jean a couple of times to make bridges. Damn bridges!

I’ve now started playing Brute Force. I also bought a copy of the new Ninja Gaiden, and will get around to that soon.

ah, I was thinking the thread may have died…

as one could probably guess from the slight change to my av…Rainbow V Challenge = COMPLETE. I’m still feeling that natural high, and this was done last night/early this morning… 1:33am. That was a dramatic finish too…an excellent final showdown with***SPOILER

The Captain vs. The Captain. I happened to get it all on tape, including the ending and Results Screen…and I noticed that Results screen music a little more this time…oh yeah, I must make an mp3 out of that. “Super Blue” is now mine, and this is saved on 3 different memory cards of course.
Oh yeah…the fight was so great…it was highlight-reel material. I just reviewed the tape again recently…I Ukemi-ed 4 times successfully. There was Mach Speed, lightning all over the place…beautiful Matrix-dodging…a slowed voomerang, a Zoom Stomp right on his head(*During his electric stomp! Yes, you can do this without getting hit, surprisingly.)

That was quite a moment there…when I landed the final normal slowed punch that put Blue down for the count…and the results come up— V…V…V! I’ve never felt that level of accomplishment and natural high from a video game before…

*well, Joe is still at Stage 3 of the RV Challenge…Super Blue is now at “Some Like it Red Hot”…the hotel part.

-sidenote—doing a successful Ukemi in real time(*just Zoom…no Slow usage.) is cool, and makes me feel all superior and elite and shit.

Just started a playin FFT and FFX again… Just fuckin around w/ techniques in tactics like ninjas w/ battle skill, concentrate, and blade grasp. If you do break techs as a ninja they hit twice, so speed break is minus 4! HAHAHAHA! SOON MY OPPO(W)NENTS WILL BE SLOWER THAN CALCULATORS!!! j/k. An’ since Rikku’s part of the sphere grid sucks i’m sendin’er to Tidus’s cuz he ownz in the game.

HAHAHA Calculators, the most worthless job in the game. Damn Tactics was too fun, I miss that shit.

I am playing Onimusha 1 right now. Damn that watergate puzzle got me several times…

Klonoa: Empire of Dreams. I’m at Vison 5-7 and I just need one more star fragment to finish the level but I don’t know where it is!!! Arrrrggggghhhhhhhhh!!! I’m really annoyed because after this I move on to the final boss to finish the game but I can’t find that dumb star!! Agin: Arrrrrrrrrrrgggghhhhhhhh!!!

Playing DBZ Budokai 1 for PS2 still. I’m going to unlock all the characters and turn Teen Gohan (who is actually 9 y/o Gohan) into a butt kicking machine. Krillin too. And Goku. And Trunks

Because unevadable damage to all enemies and healing all allies with no mp cost and no charge time is worthless.

Woo hoo! I jsut eat Klonoa: Empire of Dreams. It was a fun, fresh ride for me. Good platforming and solid puzzle elements. Now I’m moving on to Iridion II.

Playing some SVC on xbox, and glitching out various games. I knew SVC wasn’t as bad as people thought (especially after that junction video). As for the glitching, been doing some classic super mario bros glitches, like the small-fireflower glitch, and the infamous minus world.

Also doing some MvC2 glitches, I’ve found a few variations of some of Mike Z’s super armor glitches. My favourite one is where you grab say mech-zangief with gief’s FAB, then dhc really fast to Thanos’ orb super, dnd mech-gief will be frozen upside-down and you can make him slide around. If you do thanos’ dcb+pp super up close, gief starts spinning around really fast in the floor. That’s nice enough, but if you do a snapback on that spinning gief, he’ll float upside-down and freak the fuck out.

…And then there’s Halo…
Me and a friend are going through legendary again to prepare for Halo 2, and we always try and stumble across new glitches and funny shit. Taking the time to do that usually means AT LEAST 2 hours depending on the level, we took almost 5 hours on assault on the control room once thanks to glitches and vehicle tomfoolery. This shit is top-secret since we’re looking into video capture equipment. What I can tell you is that from the videos we’ve seen, WE ARE NOT IMPRESSED. :bgrin:

That shit made my day

As of 8:30 PM earlier, I am reunited with Xenogears. This time for fucking good!!!

I found a copy at Software Etc. for 18 bucks. Not the Greatest Hits version either. Take this Ebay :dp:

I got a gamecube (platinum metroid bundle) for my birthday last week (gotta love coworkers), and I went nuts on buying gamecube games. Im playing through Metroid Prime now, and it really brings back the super metroid feel. WHich is AWESOME.

Tested out Battlefront, Deception, Midway Classics, and Donkey Konga.

StarWars Battlefront is like a more arcadey BF1942. Awesome game, but its worthless offline.

Deception has potential just be just a pick up and play game. Not anything deep, but good nonetheless.

Midway Arcade Classics is the best $15 anyone could spend. (2 for $30 at best buy, sale on some select titles including MAC2) Im still diggin Arch Rivals and Rampage.

Donkey Konga is fun fun fun fun fun. Multiplayer is amazing.

Next on the list:
Mario Golf, Pikmin, Wind Waker, Twin Snakes (God I love MGS),and other games.

THis next month is going to be INSANE for games. MGS3, Halo 2, GTA:SA, AND Half Life 2 within weeks of each other? It’s like getting head from the chick in that Starburst commercial. TOO GOOD.

In Halo, my roommate and a friend of his managed to get all the way to the bottom of that huge shaft on the Silent Cartographer level using the warthog. Turns out, there’s not much down there.

Congrats on getting a GC, DJ. Sounds like you really got the hook up. I plan on picking up Midway Arcade Treasures 2 this week when I get paid. I;m really looking forward to soem action with Total Carnage. And near arcade perfect versions of MKII-MK3=Gold.

Right now I’m really getting into Iridion II. Man, this game rocks so much sockage. Nevermind tha crap that was Iridion 3D, Iridion II totally makes up for it by being a GOOD SHMUP. The game is $15 brand new but I only paid elss than $10 for it used. Oh it rocks. It’s even better than Gradius Galaxies. The power-up system is nothing really unique but it is old-school. You can choose a type of starter weapon before each level and they can be upgraded. This game really hasn’t gotten the attention it deserves and that’s probably because I3D sucked so bad. Well if you’re a fan of SHMUPs and you see Iridion II GET IT!!

Yeah I just got that new MGS demo, it is pretty tight. They give you all of the guns in the demo to mess around with, the sniper rifle is tight as hell!. Besides that I started Castlevania: Lament of Innocence and it is pretty cool… justkind of repetitive.

The saga continues…Viewtiful Joe…Viewtiful Joe foreva!!

So I finally returned to the adventures of The Midnight Thunderboy himself…Alastor. Voomerang/Roundtrip trick is just what I needed. This really helped out the fight with Fire Leo, though it was still tough. I went on to beat********Spoiler

The KING and The Captain. As expected, those were some tough fights for Al, at least for me. I had a working pattern for King, but some small thing would usually go wrong and fuck everything up…I got pissed and tired of dealing with it, and just cheaped him out with Roundtrip. I tried fighting The Captain for real, and kept “getting close”, rather than actually beating him. It seems like the A.I. for him, even on Adults mode…it “turns things up” when he’s low in the red on health…he’ll start Mach Speed and just keep it on constantly, throw lightning bolts all over the damn place, and make it impossible for you to do shit. So of course…I hate to admit it…but I resorted to cheaping him out too.

I bought Cel Damage yesterday…I couldn’t resist since it was 12 bucks!!! So far it’s “alright”. It’s not a bad game, but it’s not really great either…just “ok”. The control is alright, and I like the character designs.

And once again, the disc is in piss-poor shape, and I’m surprised it even works. It’s like this game was previously owned by a 4 year old. Even the box is all …“nasty” as if someone ate some fried chicken and used the game box as their plate. How hard is it to take care of your games? Come on now. Not one game I’ve ever owned, from Atari 2600 days to now…not ONE game has been in such terrible shape. All my games kept looking like I just bought them brand new 6 minutes ago. Even my Legend of Zelda for NES is still shiny and new with the gold paint. It’s not that hard to take care of a game. What’s wrong with these people?

Yeah that’s the way I am with all my PSX games. For instance, almost all my copies of my PS1 RPGs (such as all the PS Final Fantasies, Legend of Dragoon, both Lunars, Breath of Fire IV etc.) still got the new smell inside the instruction manuals, and it’s been to over a few years since I got them.
Heh, I have 2 copies of both Zelda 1 and 2, one gold and the other one grey.

And I also have 2 Gun.smokes. Cuz there are 2 different box covers.

Playing Zelda: Links Awakening for the GB. This game is rather old ( it came out in 1993 I think ) but I never get tired of it.

Just got my Neo-Geo Pocket Color in the mail today. Now if only MY FUCKING GAMES WOULD ARRIVE!!
