nah, I still have Episode 7 to go. I would’ve been playing it tonight, but as you can see…I now have BR in my life.
And whoah…Uranus just pissed all over my attempt at Time Attack mode. She beat me at least 6 times! It seems that despite looking really cool…Xion the Unborn kinda sucks… I’m having an easier time with the tigers, Shen Long and that other guy…and of course the two moles…Bakuryu and Kohryu.
I hope this series continues. It’s a shame it isn’t more popular, apparently. I didn’t care when it was on the original playstation, cuz that was when 3d graphics still kinda sucked. When it came to GC, Ps2 and Xbox…then the BR games began to actually look good.
Anyway, I called my friend tonight and told him his win streak against me on this game is now in trouble. When I have my own copy of a game to practice on, the tables quickly get turned… My skills are just naturally tight like that. heh, Me >> “Dude, you know it’s over right? My supremacy is at hand.”
A Change in TnA Rankings --Shina was surpassed. Today I played with Alice(rabbit) in her school uniform. Shina is still hot, but Alice is the very definition of “cute”, so Alice is my new #1 in terms of BR hotness. Jenny is nice in a “hot stripper” way…check the way she walks…it’s nice.
ahaha…Cronos = a fruit who just happens to have one of the coolest hyperbeast forms in the game. Interesting situation there.
Gradius Galaxies-This game will kick anyone’s butt. I can’t believe even the speeding level was in this game along with an inferno stage. I made it to the final level and died–a lot. The Konami code is a MUST for this game. It’s so flipping hard. That beind said, Gradius in your pocket=good times.
I’m quickly mastering Mario 64 again. I gotta get a soundtrack to this damn game. Too good.
Anyway, I’m REALLY playing Mischeif Makers right now. I am greatly enjoying this game. It was made by Treasure and Enix, which is great. Anyone else ever play this? What did you think?
I was played the OPM MGS3 demo disc as well. I think this might be the best one yet. The last months haven’t had much on them. I guess I will probably start playing MK Deception when my friend gets it. I will play Neo Contra, MGS3, DMC3, Biohazard 4, but my brother is in town and he likes playing PS1 games. I have been playing Vandal Hearts for the past 2 days now.
Well, that X-Men game is starting to get a little frustrating. Somehow I missed the Sophomore Qualifying Exam disc, so I had to buy it from Healer long after getting all of the Junior discs and some of the Senior ones, so by the time I was actually able to work on some of the Junior courses, my characters were too buff. The Combined Powers 301 and 302 are impossible now since any single mutant power kills the opponents in that course. Now, I realize that you don’t have to finish the Danger Room courses to beat the game, but it pisses me off that I can’t.
Also, Million, I saw that same Bloody Roar game at my Game Xchange and thought about buying it. I’m not really a fan of 3D fighters in general, but I’ve always enjoyed the BR games simply because the animals look cool. In fact, I get payed today, I think I may go pick that up.
Playing SRS right now ( Street Racing Syndicate ). Excellent game IMO, very in-depth to street racers. Heh, I always keep about $5,000 savings in street mode, you never know what might happen…
I wish they would make another. I know Treasure is around still, and Enix… well we know what happened to them. But on the title screen it says “Licensed To Nintendo”, so who knows.(doubt it though).
I remember Mischief Makers. In fact that was the first N64 game I rented. I wonder if it joined the “Overpriced-Game-That Collectors-Would-Kill-For-Because-It-Bears-A-Japanese-Production-Company-Name-Only-A-Hardcore-Gamer-Would-Recognize” bandwagon.
Nope, everytime I stop near an EB, they always have copies for under 15cdn. Pawn shops are even cheaper though :bgrin:
I’ve been playing the jap version on my modded box for quite a while now. I love it to death (even though I hated the first Otogi). I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
Well I think I’m done with Gradius Galaxies. I made it to the final level but there was this boss that shot out so many lasers so fast that keeping an eye on your ship AND the bosse’s cores was next to impossible. So I poped in some Iridion II. MAN, this game looks AWESOME!!! One of the best looking GBA games!! The 3D graphics rock and the gameplay ain’t bad either. The music also rocks. You get a variety of weapon types. Only thing I dislike is the pass word system. I thought that went out years ago.
Bloody Roar —FINALLY I got Uranus and that lab stage unlocked. Making it thru survival mode was a bitch…I could barely even make it to her in that mode, and I definitely got lucky at the end. I had NO energy, but I beat her thanks to a last possible second shift to Hyperbeast, and a successful Beast Drive! The survival mode challenge for Uranus was “done”, and she’s now mine to play with. Of course, I lost the very next match since I started with NO energy…I had to fight Shina on that really small stage by the street.
That’s another thing…I like that you can possibly come back thanks to the hyperbeast transformation. Usually I will use that as a last resort tactic…a desparation move.
damn…Uranus IS hot. Besides that, she’s one of the coolest characters…floating rather than walking, teleports, lots of energy attacks, etc. Her beast mode is TIGHT. It’s just a large demon creature. It’s annoying how easily it goes away though…some attacks apparently release all her beast energy or whatever, and she goes back to human form. The beast drives are cool, and her hyperbeast mode is a super-version of her human form…a “hyper-human” rather than a “hyper-beast”. She kinda has a look similar to Ivy from Soul Calibur. Yeah, I see Bloody/Xion’s point…she’s quite nice.
I still don’t care what anyone says…Ring Outs = cheapness…especially in a game like this where many attacks can knock a character clear across the stage. heh, I think I may resurrect that old argument again later on just to stir things up. I don’t even truly enjoy winning that way. In Bloody Roar, at least it’s funny. I made Gado get hit by a car yesterday…it was hilarious.
Anyone notice the character designs on Mischief Makers looks EXACTLY like Gunstar Heroes on Genesis? The first time I saw the game in a magazine I knew it was Treasure material.
Went to my buddy’s house yesterday, and finally played some real matches of Melty Blood Re-ACT, laptop hooked up to the TV and it felt like playing with a console or a supergun. This Japanese 2-D fighter is freakin’ awesome! And since it probably has NO plans for a US release, this fighting game looks to be a underground hit, just like Guilty Gear X was before it hit American Playstation 2’s and the only way to play it was to have the import Dreamcast version. Currently my best character is Warakia. It’s also funny cause there’s a robotic variation of one of the characters has a female Robo Ky-esque voice. One odd thing about MBR is the roster. Don’t know any other fighting game where females outnumber males, and plus I fuckin’ hate those whinny, high pitched Japanese female voices on ultra cute looking anime girls whose KO screams can shatter glass (coughAthenaAsamiyacough ), but I got past that.
Sadly, that copy of Bloody Roar was gone already when I went up there, so I bought Ninja Gaiden instead.
I’m still playing X-Men Legends though. Jean Grey was getting way too powerful (Psychic Scream fully leveled + Psychic Combat fully leveled = everyone dies to one PS; makes the gameplay kinda boring), so I switched her out when I unlocked Psylocke, and my main team is now Gambit/Wolvie/Storm/Psy, though on Sentinel-heavy missions I usually use 'Crawler instead of a psychic since Sentinels are practically immune to psionic damage and 'Crawler’s Leap of Faith skill is extremely handy during Sent fights.
I’m currently playing Paper Mario 2: The Thousand Year door right now, and this game is addicting. I traded in Mortal Kombat:Deception(this game is shit) for this game and I gotta say that I’m happy I did it.
Well, last night I finished what must’ve been the longest freakin’ mission in the whole goddamn game! So many rooms to explore, so many random extra objectives, and those Sentinel Battle Platforms had this shockwave attack that reversed your controls. Rather a pain in the ass, but thankfully I finished it now.
On the plus side, all four of my main characters are now lvl 35, and I’m on the “Legend” rank Danger Room scenarios.
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai (PS2)-This was the first DBZ game I ever played and I had a lot of fun with it. DBZ: SW owns it but now that I’ve gone back and playd DBZ: B, this is still a fun game. The story mode was awesome. I had a tough time battling Android 19. That always was a tough fight because Goku’s life is draining during the battle. Things got harder when I had to fight Cell as Gohan a total of 3 times. Fighting him in SS1 was tough because Cell was fast and quick on the combos and throws. When I became a SS2, the Cell Jrs. didn’t know what hit 'em and Cell was easily defeated. Of course when Cell came back with SS2-like skills, he was tough to beat again but I pulled it off after a few tries. The ending where Gohan blasts Cell with a huge Kamehameha Wave with help from his father still owns to this day.
