Lately I’ve only been playing my GBA SP. I don’t know why. Well, I do. I like the ability to start and stop something. Not having to play for three hours just to get past an intro is a great feature to me.
I just got finished beat Arcade mode of 3S with Dudley. I like him but he’s a bit too slow for me. However, I do like the way he talks: “Vone…two…vee!” Ending the match with Gill with Dudley’s first Super Art was priceless.
BTW are Yang & Yun basically the same in terms of fighting styles or do they have subtle differences like Ryu & Ken?
Also, it seems like Akuma has gone back to being insanely powerful in 3S just like he was in ST. Whenever I have the chance to fight him I don’t take it anymore because the dude is just too damaging. I mean, I’ve beaten him before in 3S but not without continuing a few times.
i went out and bought drakenguard when its first came out ,and that just happened to be the worst thing i did the whole summer. its some kind of Samuri Warriors rip off the only thing that different is the dragon and even that isn all that. then they have all these weapons that you have two level up bottom line this is the worst game squares made since unlimited saga.
Right now i’m playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance i hate when i miss magic…i miss a powerful magic attack wtf???
I’m playing Socom 2 online, RE:Outbreak, SF:AC, and some Xenogears.
Yeah, subtle differences. Different Crouching hard kick, Yang fights with what I personally call “spirit blades” while Yun uses bare hands.
But one thing that really sticks out about Yun, in big tournaments, his Super Art number 3 is a true crowd pleaser. Literally.
In fact Reggie, watch this video. Crowds do this when Yun does this super move in many tournaments.

Top 4 Supers in the game (no particular order):
Chun’s S.A.2
Ken’s Shippu
Yun’s Genei Jin
Urien’s Aegis
Now that is a unique Super Art. Very different from anything else I’ve seen in the game. :wow: Also it looks very “show off” worthy.
Just got Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. I’m not that far into it, yet, but I’m enjoying it so far. I can’t wait to learn all that the battle system has to offer.
I finished MM and MM6 yesterday night. As long as nothing else eats up my free time, I should finish MM4 today and have everything unlocked on the MMAC finally. I like that song entitled “Homage to MegaMan”. It uses several title screen tracks from the GameBoy games and mixes them all together.
Heh, this particular Genei Jin in this video was nothing really. The same guy that pulled the combo off in the video (K.O.) got first place in last year and recently this year’s Evolution tournament. Might wanna search for more videos of this incredible super done in action, cuz a dazzling Genei Jin combo is more than just shoulder rams.
Last night before I went clubbin’, I got my hands on one of those Street Fighter 15th Anniversary Controllers from Blockbuster Video. A little bulky but just right like a 2nd generation Sega saturn control pad. And a nice hologram picture in the middle of the controller. But because of the hologram picture, the select and start button is directly over the buttons, so don’t mash too hard or your fingers will slide over and accidently reset the game.
I spent 20 minutes wondering which to get, Akuma or Ryu. So I picked Ryu. I was sick of black,PS2 stuff, so I picked Ryu to get some color variety. (Akuma controller is black, and Ryu’s is red and white.)
Heh as we speak I’m playing Final Fantasy X with this controller. I think the only downside is that I can’t do Lulu’s overdrive cuz it’s based on the right analog pad which it lacks.
Anyone getting Demon Stone on Wednesday? This game has me pretty psyched.
I beat 3S with Urien last night. I found out that he and Gill are brothers. :wow: Well it explains they’re similar taste in clothing. :wow: I actually like Urien despite the fact that he’s parading around in a THONG!! All I need now is for Cisquoe to bust out with the Thong Song. I do like the fact that I can throw his projectile and then use his first Super Art to charge in behind it. That’s great stuff.
Eh, first post in this thread…
Lately I’ve been trying to get into GGXX#r, trying to learn Faust, not exactly that good, keep getting owned by my friend’s Sol.
Also been playing Shenmue 2 on and off, bought it but never finished it, pretty good game.
Sega GT Online, still need to upgrade my Evo V to the fullest.
My bro-in-law and I were playing HSFII: AE. I showed him the the guide and I’m thicking it was a mistake because he has now widend the gap between our skills. He knows ST Vega’s dizzy and re-dizzy combo and he’s got some killer 4 hit combo with ST Ken. If he keeps it up, I’ll have to resort to only using ST fighters to beat him. :lame: ST the most ballanced SFII game? When the characters do extra damage. Feh. Screw that game. That’s almost like saying Gill and Akuma are well-ballanced fighters. Give me SSFII or just plain Turbo any day.
I just finished Prince of Persia Sands of Time on PC. Very nicely done. Graphic and Music is top notch. The action is also pretty well done. The only things I can nitpick is the lack of monster variations (not that fighting is a big part of the game) and it’s too short. But overall, a fun expereince.
Played 3rd Strike, CvS2, and (omg some other people still play it) SFEX3 with some friends last night. My practicing with Alex, Urien, Yang, and Necro seemed to have paid off!
7th Saga on ZSNES. Still good.
N
Wonderboy in MonsterLand TurboGrafx fools!
I played as Gill for the first time last night in 3S. Gotta admit, he’s pretty fun to play as. I guess it’s fun to use broken fighters than be on the receving end of their fists. Now that I’ve beaten 3S with everyone, I’m going to practice with some of my favorite chartacters like Sean, Yang, and Alex. Also despite his strange appearance, Oro is a pretty fight fighter.
Finally got around to playing Sonic Adventure 2: Battle on GC. I got sick after playing Sonic’s first level. Been a while since I’ve been to the 3D platformer and FPS scene so it could take some time before I get back into the swing of things. The camera in SA2:B sucks. I mean, it isn’t as bad as MMX7’s but man, it sucks. Still, it was fun to control my fav blue hedghig again.
BTW is anyone going to get SvC Chaos? I’ve never played the game but it sounds interesting.
