Still convinced that Mercenaries for Xbox/PS2 is one of the greatest games ever.
Also I’m a 5,000 post whore.

Congrats, Slide.
So yeah, I’m still trying to get 100% of support conversation(s) success on Fire Emblem 7 - Updating that I have 20% now.
Playing Dungeon Siege II, good graphics, great music, gameplay is very Diablo, it’s almost like an updated Diablo with 3D graphic.
Yeah it’s fucking ridiculous, but I guarantee you’ll jump up and start yelling “Yeah take that you fuckin bitches!!!” once you beat it.
Challeneg of the Gods missions 8 and 10 are still the worst IMO though. Fight for 10 minutes still with full health only to get shattered on the last gorgon wave.
Just curious if anyone has advice for getting the No Damage Clears on the Man-'o-War and Yeti’s stages in MMX8. I already have AAA ranks on every level, and those are the only ones that I still need No Damage Clears on.
Psychonauts is a mixed bag. Some of the levels are really good, but a few just fall flat. The story and characters are interesting, though a little over-the-top at times. And the art style is… well… a little bit not good. Still, all in all Psychonauts was pretty fun and worth checking out if you like platformers.
Of the Jak series, Jak & Daxter is the only one worth playing. It’s easy, but quite fun. Jak 2 and 3 are pretty lame, though. It’s really just the main characters thrown into more of a GTA/DMC/R&C hybrid, but where all of the aspects of each aren’t very integrated and just don’t hold up (though admittedly I’ve never been a GTA/freeroam fan).
Another platformer that I would suggest checking out is I-Ninja. It’s really cartoonish and quirky. There’s a surprising diversity in the gameplay. It has NG-style platforming elements, lots of Sonic-esque speed segments, and combat that feels like old skool beat-'em-ups. And a fun and silly sense of humor, with Billy West as the main character.
Ok, so Dungeon Siege 2 is fucken weak. Back to Madden lol =\
Well I went over to my pal’s place and did some fighting game gaming. I haven’t played Street Fighter Alpha 3 in months. So we put that bad boy in with my Ken & Chun-Li 15th Anniversary SFII controllers. (6 button SF = Heaven.) I don’t know what the heck happend but I was mopping the floor against my pal and his buddy. I had a successful 9-0 wining streak and we were playing 5 round games. I even made an awesome comeback against my friend’s pal, Justin when he was up 2 rounds and I was down to 0. He only needed one more victory to win the match but I came back and bested him. He would keep getting me into corners, hoping to keep me there, but I would always get out.
Now my pal, Brandon and his buddy, Justin are no noobs at fighting games, especially 2D fighters. They’ll beat me at Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Capcom vs. SNK 2 like nobody’s business but for some reason, I was owning them with Ryu. I even had a couple of Super Combo finishes. And I always went with A-ISM. They even brought out Ken. KEN!! And when one of them uses Ken in just about any SF game, it is trouble for me. I always thought it was Ken > Ryu in a fight. Maybe I was just getting lucky but I was even going toe-to-toe with the likes of Vega, Guile and Fei Long, who some say is the best character in Alpha 3. Justin said I played Alpha 3 like I was Japanese.
:wow:
Started playing the NES again and felt like I accomplished something beating Ninja Gaiden II.
I dont think it would be nearly as hard if they didnt have those damn birds. Oh and that you fly like 20 feet back from a hit and there is usually a conveniant cliff behind you.
Argh, what did it come up short in? I’d hate to go buy it only to play for a week or two and forget about it.
Zoom.
Basically been playing Tales of Symphonia (I see I’m not alone) for the past 2 weeks. Beat it last night. That game was fucking crack, but now that I’ve beaten it, I’m starting to lose interest. I believe my time was 72:18 with the big sidequests done (left the gc on for countless hours by accident though =P). After you beat the colliseum with everyone and all the side bosses, the last fight is rofltastic.
Also, a big FUCK YOU to Electronics Boutique for still not having Graffiti Kingdom. Bastards.
DBZ Supersonic Warriors at work today on lunchbreak…I was Freeza of course…powerlevel: 41 million!!! (random scouter explodes) I ended up with a 17hit combo(*something involving Freeza’s version of that “destructo disk” move…I probably just followed it up with another and then rushed the victim to attack physically at the same time the disk hit.)…and, I think I had 100% of my energy left.
HULK Ultimate Destruction will be out in about 2 weeks. The commercials have already started.
Updating 22% success talk on fire emblem 7. Could of got Hawkeye and Ninian support talk B but Eliwood killed Ninian off.
I just picked up Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg. But unforetunately, my impressions will have to wait a bit. I started in on Hard Mode on MMX8, and would like to finish that first.
I have a free paycheck next week, no bills on the horizon at all. I’m planning to pick up Geist for sure, and Street Fighter Anniversary Collection if I can find it anywhere. Possibly a couple other things as well. What’s SRK’s take on KoF Maximum Impact? I haven’t played any KoFs in a long time, and kicking some ass as Terry and Mai would be sweet.
KOF Maximum Impact is a fun fighter, but not to be taken seriously. It’s mad broken, but it’s mad fun to experiment with the combos and all that good stuff. If you have an Xbox, I suggest you get that version because it has the Japanese with subtitles. I’m not one to complain about Dubs much, but this dub is pure ass. Trust me on this. And the Xbox live is pretty good for a fighter. But if you want the real deal, I’d say go for the 02/03 bundle pack. But you can’t lose with either.
Honestly, I’d rather have bad English dubs but still be able to understand what they’re saying. And I would get one of the 2D double packs, but Wal-Mart is the only place in town that sells new games, and they don’t have any of those. Hence the problems finding SFAC as well. And thanks for the input. Fun but broken sounds good to me, considering my roommate is my only comp anyway.
I also enjoyed KOF: MI. Not to be taken seriously, but it was still a fun game.
Right now I’m trying to finish Spider-Man 2. I’m at the part where Ock kidnaps Mary Jane and I’m about to do the train battle. I want to finish the game so I can be ready for Ultimate Spider-Man. I saw the trailer for the game and it looks awesome. I’m thinking of picking up the PS2 version but if it has any hiccups, I’m web up the GC version instead.
Got the Sonic Mega Collection Plus or somethin’ like that today, going old school.
It feels like it came up short in everything. Its alot better than DS1, but missions and everything feels so tedious. Its a dungeon crawler and its expected, but it feels like a huge grind that gets you nowhere.
If you’re gonna do it for MP, don’t even bother w/sp since you’re gonna end up playing the same things over again. Even if you’re in Act3 and you import you char. into MP, you’re gonna do them all over again.
Camera can get kinda sloppy, framerate takes a bit hit when theres too much shit on screen. Reliance on the map just to find “secret switches,” and ugh, other shit. Posting a random pic just for the hell of it.
oh yeah, not to mention npcs getting lost or stuck behind things, not following you properly. Some pathfinding issues and Ai
Yeah, that part was gold…
Eliwood: Step back while I own this loser with my ridiculously overcompensating, phallic blade of doom!
Lyn: OMG! (looks at her lame ass Mani Katti, orgasms to Eliwood’s sword of ownage)
Hector: It’s not so big…
Ninian: OMGWTFBBQ?? Wait!
*gets owned by Durandal
Eliwood: Yeah, fool! What’s up now, Puff?!
*changes back from dragon form to Ninian
Eliwood, Hector, Lyn: …fuck.
I was playing FE myself today…stupid random stats keep trying to screw Eliwood and Guy over. And Pent owns, and Florina sucks, so don’t let anyone (aka elitist bastards) fool you guys.
So, uh, I got Graffiti Kingdom today as a purchase on impulse to hold me over until Nintendogs/Advance Wars DS come out on Monday. Haven’t opened it yet, but I’ll start it up tomorrow. Looks interesting and quirky.
Haha, my supports percentage in FE7 is like, 12. It would be higher if I wasn’t so lazy to blow all those turns trying to trigger them. Some supports take up to 250 turns to get to “A”. Fuck that shit.
Pent is good. He’s not the best Sage in the game, but he does his job well, especially for a pre-promote. I never use Erk, so he’s always my main Sage until Nino levels up. And don’t get me started on Peg Knights. I am not a fan of them at all. I’ll take wyverns any day.
