Oh, fun game, fun game. I picked it up for the DC a few years back. I even picked up some DC keyboards so I could play it. I like to call it “The most brutal typing lesson ever.” And you are correct, the voice acting is suckola. You’d think Sega hired robots to do the parts.
I had some time to kill before I clocked in for work, so I played WW: Twisted! I finally beat Wario-Man’s stage!! In doing so, I finally beat the game. Turn It Up is still my most hated game on there. But I’ve still got lots of mini-games to unlock as well as Souvenirs.
Any Guwange fans in here? Fuckin’ awesome shooter that strays completely away from the redundant military/intergalactic atmosphere that most shooters have.
Today I played it on MAME and beat it 5 times in a row.
Wow,you guys are talking about fire emblem,i love that game,i lost it once, bought a new one then lost it again along with my gba.A few months later i bought a ds,and in may i bought the sacred stones. But before i lost the first one,i beat it about 7 times, all the guys i used were level 20 by the end,so ask me for advice if you want,if i havent forgotten, ill help you.
Well I just unlocked another state in WW: Twisted! You have to get up to 25 microgames before you can unlock another stage and the speed starts off fast and gets faster with each passing game. I think I got up to 14 on it. Maybe 17. I don’t remember. As a souvenir, I got the Kid Icarus record and the reading at the bottom was as follows: “This is the closest you’ll ever come to a sequel. Har har!” Ouch. Man, Nintendo. That was just cold.
Personally, I don’t like the Kid Icarus games. But I would like to see Pit in the next Smash just for completeness’ sake. He’s a well-known N character.
But more importantly, I read an interview with Miyamoto recently in which he was asked about a Kid Icarus sequel and he kinda cryptically hinted that one may be in the works for the Rev. But it’s no gaurentee.
WellI finally got my airship in FFI. Too bad that dumb thing can hardly land on anything. Most towns I can’t even park next to. I gotta park the thing out int he wilderness and get into some freaking random battles jus so I can get to my destination. Feh. Speaking of random battles, in some spots the encounter rate is way too high. There are times when I can’t even take two steps without getting into a fight. And the guarded treasure chests are getting annoying. ButI whinne too much. I really do enjoy this game.
Back in school again, I’ll be able to post more often.
Anyway, I’m currently playing DMC3 and Kirby: Canvas Curse (finally got my DS, haha). Kirby is sick, games like that one make me realize why Nintendo takes so many risks with innovation, if you do it right, it really pays off. Spark power owns everything.
As for DMC, it’s hardcore, which is good. 2 sucked for many reasons, but the difficulty was one big one. But WTF is up with Rebellion in that game? Stupid looking Skeletor sword…bring back the Rebellion of DMC2. Or better yet, the Vendetta. Oh well, I’ll just keep using Cerberus/Agni & Rudra anyways.
FF1 i just think certain panels you step on trigger fights. And yeah the airship can only be landed on flatland which sucks. I dont think you can even land it on sand. And i think select+L+R shows a map but im not sure i havent played it in awhile.
…Shit, I remember it took me forever to get that airship because I didn’t know where to look! I agree that the random battle encounters are out of control, so hell yeah complain…
…I mean it, two steps…dsfsdfsdssfjghsfaj ( BATTLES ON! ), shit gets tiresome sooner or later. I can’t wait until you fight Omega and Shinryu, or maybe you did already… …
Oh I haven’t fought either of them yet but I plan to. The bonus dungeons was one of the main reasons I picked up FFI&II: DOS. But in FFV, I ran into Omega one time by accident. Man, I don’t think I’d ever been screwed so quickly in a fight. Omega owned my whole party just one attack. I’m not fighting that thing until my party is at level 99. As for the other bonus dungeons, I’m not sure what levels I should be at before going in.
Yeah, I just finished DMC3 on DMD mode early today. Game is tight as all fuck. And every weapon, both melee and ranged, has unique abilities that make them all useful in different situations.
And yeah, Kirby was awesome. DS has a lot of good stuff. Fuck the haters.
FF V’s Omega can be neutralized if you equip yourself with Fire Rings…this pretty much absorbs Omega’s fire-beam attacks. Have !Sword (from the Sorcerer) or !Sshot (from the Samurai). Use Bolt 3 on your swords, and wail away at that fucker. Make sure you have someone to heal up your party in case Omega does not use the fire beam attacks.
well, the UC2 thread returned only to fade away to obscurity yet again…
Update: --it really rains on your parade to be all “DOMINATING!” and shit online…and then you soon realize that you’ve been dominating BOTS. (“hey…that Devastation is named…‘Devastation’?! Shit.”)
-I play 3rd person view all the time now…and it seems more comfortable now…I feel like my skills may have even improved at least slightly because of this. There’s no denying that the 3rd person view gives you a wider field of vision, so you’re more aware of what’s going on around your character…so your possible reaction time to anything is better.
-I’ve theorized a possibly interesting strategy concerning a particular power that I haven’t seen used much so far…hopefully it will catch people off guard and give me the edge in battle…haha…I actually thought about it thanks to recent “superpower” threads here. I’ll probably go into detail about this simple theory/strat after I’ve tested it out against various opponents online.
When you put it that way, Lantis, FFV Omega sounds like cake to kill. I don’t know if the one in FF I & II: DOS is just as easy/hard to kill but I guess I’ll find out soon enough.
I just got done doing a 3.5 hour session of FFI playing. To me, that’s how RPGs are ment to be played. I can’t just play for 45 mins. Well unless the RPG sucks, that is. Anyway, in that time I defeate Kraken, who was a complete joke. Since Lich and Marilith were some tough customers, I was expecting Kraken to give me a hard time. I guess my upgraded Light Warriors were just too much for him. When I cast Haste on my Knight, Master, and Ninja they were wasting the fool. They were doing way more damage than his weakness, thunder-based attacks. Maybe Tiamat won’t be hard to beat either.
Yeah, had no trouble with Omega once I had the Fire Rings…only problem was reviving any character that might have died from Omega’s random attacks, but they would still be healed by Omega’s fire beams afterwards. I was en route to trying to defeat Shinryu as well, but never had the chance…I think the tactic is similar to Omega’s, except you need Water Rings and you also need the Lancer’s Jump ability.
I wonder if the FF I remake still has the WarMech glitch in Tiamat’s Tower?
According to me Nintendo Player’s Guide, there’s an enemy called Death Machine that’s even worse than Tiamat. They say you may or may not encounter him on the 5th floor. I’m guessing Death Machine and WarMech are one and the same? And what’s this glitch about?
