Maybe we’re powerless to do anything, getting these ideas out there in a forum for discussion of them is a good thing. Just because none of us are heads of state and joe schmoes doesn’t mean our opinions are worthless on the fact that we’re powerless to act on them. I vote with my wallet the same way everyone else does.

For years now, the media in every form refers to China’s government as simply that, China’s govt (feat. the emblematic Mao). There has always been this subconscious inference that China is a hive mind construct when in reality there are key people at work in their government.
Factually speaking, Hu Jintao is the “acting president” but I never hear about him in any personal dealings or being put under any scrutiny by the American government when China does something ridiculous- the criticism only lies with the “People’s Republic of China” as whole, which I find odd.
I get the impression that much of the criticism of the U.S. from abroad is simply directed at the U.S. in general.
This pretty much echos a documentary I saw called “Blue Gold: World Water Wars”. A lot of countries, including the US have been setting up a military presence near water reserves all over the world and it’s really messed up how corporations are literally hording water rights and of course turn around and charge a premium for people in drought stricken countries to “rent” their water.
It’s really unsettling to learn how much of the United State’s water supply is owned by foreign corporations.

Well, since you really want to know. I saved (computer security) a large educational organization in NYC. Then I had a friendly talk with entities higher up in the DoT regarding our current infrastructure in NYC, current/neglected problems, future/rising issues, and potential solutions. Then I talked to someone high up in DoE regarding the current education crisis NYC is experiencing and possible methods of rectification. We don’t really talk about the US government aside from mentioning pointless generic common stuff. Like the story of the little prince, change yourself before you change others; in other words, fix NYC before you fix the entire country. Anyways, when I was done with that I then got home. Then I went to the park to teach kids how to play one wall handball (for free). Now that I’m home, although I’m tired as hell, as guild leader of the SRK DFO guild, I need to manage the guild before I can go to sleep. Oh yea, and since I’m human I should eat something too…

Not everyone is completely good and not everyone is completely bad. Things also aren’t as they appear to be. Unfortunately real life isn’t a clear cut of good vs bad. Everyone has their own reasons and circumstances. Behind the government and big business is not money, it’s people. People need to try to be more aware of their actions and what affects they may have. Humans on this planet have an expiration date, we need to all get together, regardless what country you’re from, what color your skin is, what religion you are, etc. By the time we will be forced to do so will be already too late. :shake:

I was really into D2, had over 30 accounts full of level 90+ (not including accounts for SoJ mules, 3/20/20 mules, high rune mules, etc), but I currently have no intention of being involved in management of the SRK presence in Diablo 3 due to my limited time and the current design of the game. This information is time variant and may or may not be relevant at a future date.
What are your personal beefs with the design?

We’ll see what happens, lets save the D3 talk for the D3 thread. The company is intentionally diminishing the game by degrading player skill to encourage post-sale revenue. This is a problem and I’m actually one of the few people who won’t be affected by it, I’m just calling it out for all the other potential players out there. DFO has similar flaws, but major ones were mitigated with the arrival of fair arena. If you have your doubts about my position in regard to micro-economies, you should consult Vestax, Kazama Fanatic, or Vegavak, since I don’t think anyone else at SRK is aware of the scope of my ability.
LOL I don’t think anyone would be aware of in-game economy domination. But yes, if I had to vouch, Elder does know how to play the market way better than he plays the actual game hahaha. If you can convert that virtual gold into real money…
