We don’t really pose a threat to them, except for sheer numbers. The rich always disassociate themselves from the rest of us, and the only way we’ve solved this is through death and revolution. The russians learned this with their Czars, and France learned with Louis the Sun King and all those fucktards, and now we’ve basically replaced royalty with rich corporate fucks. They still have no idea how the real world works, outside their little existences.
The thing is, when we get enough of us together, we will outnumber even their huge numbers. The army and police are more or less on their side, due to pays. But when shit gets UGLY, can you really see the army or military or police beating and killing their own family?
At the end of the Soviet Union, they tried sending the military to deal with all dissidents…but by then the military just basically said fuck it, and realized they would be better off once their leaders were replaced.
I truly feel the same will happen here. I don’t think America can keep failing without reprecussions.
You mean a country like this? I think they’re doing just fine. And they’ll be doing a shit ton better than us if the economy ever fails, and when peak oil hits.

or this?

This one is so good. It’s a look into our own future by examining what happened to Cuba during the embargo and how they survived it. It’s like an artificial simulation of peak oil and financial collapse, and how they survived it.
You people are like spoiled teens who get a BMW when they turn 16 and complain their whole life about how much better Benz’s are. If you ever spent one week of your life in a 3rd world country you would realize how retarded you sound.
Greece has no other choice but to default. Either accept the money and sacrifice, or fail. I see the EU going to though shit, especially if Germany does the right thing and bails itself out.
On the topic of bail outs, this is the first time in History that a nation is forced to pay its debt. Historically nations or sometimes people didn’t have to pay their debts. We have been brainwashed by the banks that paying of lavish debts made worse by high intrest rates (legal debt) is the normal thing to do. which it isn’t.
Im for the nationalization of banks, which is what should be but isn’t. As for the other two? IDK
You think that might happen? I really doubt it, maybe im just being cynical. things aren’t just bad enough for the average American where they feel that its necessary to take up arms and kill. The amount of control this government has on its people is worse than that of Stalin’s.
If something does go down though, Im fully expecting all out war, and wanton killing between ordinary citizens before things stabilize. And that is what Im more worried about. Not the government crack down, but the division among people manifesting themselves and causing real damage.
I have, its called Zacatecas, Mexico. Fucking dirt ranch, no telephones, dirt roads, stuck in 1900. Meat is the absolute luxury, as is citrus fruit, or other sweet fruit. Just because other places have it bad, doesn’t mean that this country shouldn’t be better, or that the people should strive to make it a better place. If anything, corruption in the US is much worse than of Mexico.
I think peak oil is already hitting us. Its not just inflation, speculation, or plain greed We are feeling it for the first time.
BTW your vids don’t work
so who heard about the US Nuclear administration green lighting the building of a new Nuclear reactor for the first time since 3 mile?
It might be the starting of peak oil. Or it might just be that the oil producing countries are being more protective oil to make it last longer so as to discourage continued excess use of fossil fuels, and to protect their major means of bringing wealth to their countries.
I saw a documentary about oil, and there was some government people from an oil producing country in the middle east being interviewed. They said that they want to make it last for as long as they can, and that they want to be ready for when they can no longer extract and produce the oil viably.
Or it might just be price gouging to squeeze a few more cents out of us common folk so as to maximize profits. Either way, resources like those are finite and once depleted, will not be available again for thousands of years.
you are a dumbass clown. I have spent time in 3rd world countries. A LOT of time. I used to go to Cuba several times a year, and I’ve been to a few other places as well.
I live in a developed nation (yes, they haven’t been called third world countries in decades), and I dont want to see it become an undeveloped nation (or 3rd world country, if you will). When I see my rights eroding, yes I will demand that shit stop.
Just because you are a 12 year old who has no idea how the world works, don’t try to tell us how we’re all filthy rich people whining about trivial shit. My rights being taken away, and the chance I can be jailed for what I’ve been doing for years and what shouldn’t be illegal, are something I will damn right not tolerate.
Not my fault the hardest decision of your life was whether you should pick normal Ryu or Evil Ryu.
You’re surprised? He wanted people to report associates, friends, and family who questioned his eligibility and the truth of his origins via a link on his website year before last.
yeah, but countries and some people have armies and shit behind them, to prevent banks from collecting. Banks are probably the first evil that needs to go. I’d like to say I see a future where Banks aren’t around, but I doubt that will ever come to fruition. I love how many times I have seen governments try to tell a bank what to do, and the bank tells them to fuck right off.
As what, a tourist?
Cuba? Have you ever talked to Cuban immigrants? (“traitors!!”)
Money lenders will always exist, are you talking about govt control of all banks? Think about the last time the govt mandates banks to follow their plans. Housing bubble. How many examples of central economic planning failures need to exist?
hahaa
I’m 24 and have lived in Nepal for 6 months and spent 3 months in Haiti after the earth quakes. You don’t know shit. You can get jailed in Nepal for being a westerner and not having 2,000 Rupee’s to pay off a police bribe. I’m talking about the shittiest jails in one of the poorest countries. They don’t feed you or provide medical supplies.
Stay thugging it out on forums though man. You’re changing the world one paranoid rant at a time.
You can’t trust them to do the right thing. You keep pointing fingers at regulation, yet you don’t provide any solutions or safeguards that would ensure that companies don’t step out of line. Yes the government fucked up by mandating that they loan out tons of money. It was bound to fail, but had the banks not repackaged bad mortgages within bad mortgages and then market them and sell them under the pretense of being safe. The mess we are in wouldn’t be as big. Or what, does packages where government mandate also. How many examples do we need of privatization or leaving the markets be do we need to continuously show that it doesn’t work?
Yes, I live in Canada and a lot of Cubans do live here. It wasn’t MY country that fucking blockaded them from living.
ummm so your solution is to let them continue raping us. Thanks for your oh so brilliant mathelogical engineering magic!
I should have stopped reading (and laughing) right there.
So you lived in a shithole for 6 months, and that makes you an expert. Fantastic. Oh, and then you went somewhere where they were already dirt poor, and their shit got knocked down. Hold on while I brace myself for the obvious. Ok, I’m braced…
Anywho, you’re still comparing beyond terrible conditions to normal ones. Of course shitty countries are shitty. We don’t care about them though. Whats Nepal or Haiti’s global impact, genius? Oh yeah, they have none. So lets stick to discussing the nations of the world that actually effect it, shall we? Or maybe you’d like to enlighten me on how different Antarctica is from America, you master debater.
And thank you for being as relevant as John Ritter’s twitter account
So you realize that the govt controls everything to the point of ridiculousness. Job market was dismal, you cant sell or buy a house to get out of dodge unless govt oks it (not very common), you cant have cars that were built after s 1950s or some ish, and you know those hotels you stayed at, those are off limits to citizens, same with the havanna beaches
would this be acceptable?
I see the issue a bit differently, I see efforts at central economic planning as the fatal flaw (or conceit, hahaa). I will just repost this (sorry):
I wish. I didnt BUY a car till 22 and didnt drive till 18. Ive spent a combined 6 months in a 3rd world country, the poorest in central america. what we are complaining about is the systemic breakdown of our way of life the the illusion of the american dream slowly fading away.
Man if youre not white and you have never been harassed by the authorities, then you are privileged. I live in texas, if you aint white, you aint right. I dont care what anyone says, nowadays if you have some color to that skin and look ethnic, protect your neck.
Again what we are sounding off about is what we are losing, not how we compare to other countries.
Edit: Finally learned how to multi quote after nearly 10 years on here. W00T!!!
