The Cross Assault thread (link to stream in 1st post)

the fuck…

Hostile and offensive work environments outside of blantant racial, sexual, or religious discrimination is hard to prove. You REALLY have to prove that there is some sort of behavior of discrimination for it to be illegal. Terms like “offensive” are pretty subjective, since people take offense to different things. And if you feel you are being singled out because of race or gender, you’re being demoted, or people are being promoted over you, you have to prove without a doubt that race or gender has nothing to do with it. This can be difficult.

smh.

also I’m so goddamn tired of hearing about the tweets. yes she cried and complained on twitter. nobody gives a damn. if she could tweet about it publically I’m pretty sure she could go up to the guy and tell him to stop.

So if she had went to Capcom it would have continue to went on? That’s all of a sudden invalid because I got a name wrong?

I also want to mention it’s not illegal to fire or demote someone. A person in position to fire someone has the right to fire anyone they want to. Unless they said something like “Get the fuck out of my office nigger” or better yet, sent an email stating that, then it’s your words against theirs. There is no law stating that you need a reason for firing someone. At least not in most states.

I find this hilarious, dont u guys do?

No you’re ignorant as fuck because you decided, without any real information and not even knowing who you are talking about, the following -

  • It’s a publicity stunt
  • Playing the victim
  • Never wants to work
  • Always blames others
  • Wants to use the FGC to launch her career
  • Has some sort of history to support these retarded claims

How the fuck can you even pretend any of this is remotely valid? YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW WHO SHE IS.

Stay ignorant

She was disrespected, end of story.

The point remains that Aris is in the wrong and needs to be called out for it. She did what she thought was best, and that I can agree with. There’s no sense in defending Aris just because he’s being Aris when it’s disrespectful behavior and he’s the de facto face of his team.

I care what other people outside of the community think of it, some here don’t. I think that’s the major difference in opinion.

How are you not banned?

No one “knows” who she is really. You can only base her on the public images she portrays. you basically have someone with no credentials (I follow Tekken, and my state is one of the premier states for Tekken). She comes on a show based on the gender card, claims that she’s being harassed, but never gets anyone involved. She “claims” she spoke to Aris, which I personally don’t believe is true (no proof either way it goes). Then she starts to tweet stuff after the fact.

I mean what does a normal woman do if they feel they are being harassed in the workplace? They usually go to HR, they find proof of sexual harassment, they make things happen. What does she do, quit, and then start tweeting? So basically all she is doing is talking about it, and people who spend more time talking about stuff are usually doing it for attention. If I felt I was harassed, especially in a controlled environment such as this, you better believe Capcom would know about it before SRK, EventHubs, and any other website knew about it. But guess what, Capcom didn’t know a damn thing about it.

I don’t need to know her to see what’s going on. She’s not different than drama queens in the office who make minimum effort to mitigate “issues” they are having, but feel they need to constantly complain to get people to feel sorry for them.

You keep hearing about them because you’re ignoring the content of them. She said she did speak to him about it.

No, she speaks to Aris, then she quits.

Because I’m not doing anything wrong. Just stating my opinion on the matter. Dissenting opinions aren’t a bannable offense last time I checked.

And who is it that claimed to be a Tekken Champion, SuperYan or Starslayer? Are you blaming SuperYan for something that StarSlayer claimed?

Not her fault, but I guess you don’t mind blaming her.

She did get somebody involved, she told the host last night. People do not instantly go to HR or whatever at the first moment they think they are harassed. Generally you try to work it out first. This show is less than a week old.

Well she did ask him to stop on stream.

This is actually not the case. Many women still do not report sexual harassment and is considered a problem.

You work for Capcom now? You know what goes on behind the scenes?

Fact of the matter is you don’t actually know anything. You are a shining example of the type of ignorance the perpetuates stupidity.

Miranda had her best intentions of getting good at this game. There wasn’t that much progress in 5 days, so of course it’s best to leave people that can still do it. But don’t get confused, she didn’t audition knowing she was going to get picked for the gender. Capcom chose to pick her, so they’d let Aris get all over her.

Both Sides Are Wrong For What They DId.

The way Aris treated Her.
The way she reacted and putted up with it.

Deal with it.

Shit stupid all together.

Fucking Drama

People talk about Aris being Aris as if everyone on the show or anywhere else should know him well. Then people talk about what SuperYan should or shouldn’t have done without knowing much about how she behaves or what she’s capable of. Was SuperYan suppose to know how Aris behaves before going to the show? Did Aris take his behavior to the extreme thinking this is partially what Capcom was expecting? Who knows? But I think is important here is to understand that we all seem to say things like “FGC” all the time yet we all seem to have very different idea of what that means and what is acceptable.

There is a lot of Blame the victim up in this thread, I totally don’t understand that. I don’t know how well she and Aris knew each other, so I can’t say that they don’t have a relationship in which some ribbing can go on but the way his harassment continued should be condemned and called out by Capcom and others. The notion that she should get crapped on because she gave up her spot is stupid.

So SuperYan stayed on the show after all? She’s on Team SF stream now, getting coached by Valle.

And she’s killing me. Holy christ.

Sherry is on Team Tekken stream now, so I guess they just switched teams? Cool that she stayed, but that’s not a good trade for Team SF.
