This is what I’m talking about. Shaming her for being treated the way she was is the exact wrong thing to do. Aris was publicly called out for being misogynistic and that’s what needs to happen. Disrespectful behavior needs to be labeled as such, then we should move along.
If you people think she was sexual harassed, told Capcom, and they refused to do anything about it, you people are naive. Do you realize how sensitive of a topic sexual harassment is in corporate America? Miranda could EASILY file a complaint against Capcom, and there is major liability. Capcom would have done something. StarSlayer is a massive attention whore, and I honestly doubt she left because of the Aris. If anything it’s was just a publicity stunt. Starslayer is a massive attention whore, and I mean massive. Almost to the point she is willing to lie about her fighting game credentials TO the FGC. I remember when she said she was a top Tekken player, and I was like “what?”. I had never heard of her, and I follow the Tekken community pretty closely, especially on the East Coast.
Don't be surprised if she doesn't try to capitalize off this in some way. If anything, she is trying to use the FGC a way to launch her career and become a public figure. She wants to be considered "the fighting game girl" in the public eye. But there are more talented women in the FGC who are willing to put in some work. She has shown that she is willing to try to become a major figure in our community by doing nothing. Anyway, given her history, I wouldn't put publicity stunts past her.
My thoughts go out to Tasty Steve.
You know when your eliminated you stay on the show right?
Forfeiting her spot is wrong because at that point she just slapped everyone who wanted to be in her spot/position who auditioned in the face. She signed up for this competition and not seeing it through the end, and blatantly throwing the team challenge(idk what you watched but she stood there like a punching bag and refused to hold back to block any and everything. Been playing the game for 6 days, idk what to tell you) is wrong. That is shameful and disrespectful to the other competitors like say Sherry who worked hard or Kor who went from not knowing how to move to actually looking like he’s trying to play the game. Not even playing out the elimination match “because she’d get owned” just raises the question of why is she there.
Ya well not much of a discussion if you want to look at it that way then is there?
Shoutouts to Ono coming in out of nowhere in a Blanka suit having fun when he probably has no idea about any of the drama going on.
Dude the environment was hostile as fuck towards her. She probably felt like she just had to take the abuse in order to win the money. And finally she cracked.
Aris just took it waaaay too far. I lost a lot of respect for him. Stay single and creepy douchebag!
This whole thing is a joke, it’s pretty obvious who’s in the wrong here I don’t even know why were discussing that part.
I think something that needs to be noted is that sexual harassment is a hefty claim to throw out there like that. She was disrespected, not sexually harassed. There is an important difference.
She wasn’t treated with respect because she entered a “man’s world” as an attractive female and didn’t want to play the grab-ass game everyone on stream wanted to see.
My problem is that the stream chat caters to the lowest common denominator and that is what the stream commentators respond to. It’s really a situation of crossed wires. Somehow we’ve gotten to the point where we cater to Anon, this is a problem I’m having trouble finding a solution to.
And he probably left just like that, without knowing anything about it. How can someone hate someone like him?
Do we really need to define sexual harassment?
Legally, yes.
Yes sexual harassment is a major claim. No company wants to touch a sexual harassment suit with a 100 foot pole.
But honestly, if Starslayer would have talked to Aris and he didn’t listen, then she could have talked to Capcom. Capcom would have made sure this matter was sorted out. This is just a major publicity stunt on her end, and I don’t begin to take her seriously. For people like me who work in coprorate America, she fits the profile of someone who always play victim, never wants to work, and find anyway to get by even blaming others. There is one like them in every office, the drama queens.
What does starslayer have to do with anything?
DUDE STARSLAYER WAS NOT ON CROSS ASSAULT, Her name is Super_Yan (Mirandaa)
why is star slayer being brought up here?
Well it’s a illegal when it creates a hostile or offensive work environment or decisions like firing and demoting are being made based upon it. I guess one can make the case that’s the former here although I don’t really know what went on nor care.
I thought they were one in the same. But replace Starslayer with Miranda, and the point remains valid.
How the fuck does it remain valid when you have no idea who you are talking about?
Stay free ignorance.
