Hey all im having problems gettint the lp shoulder to connect after hk dragon kicks in the shoto GJ its always misses : / any ideas is it just a timing thing ?
Phix
While in Genei-Jin mode is it possible to Universal Overhead or Forward+MK into a combo?
yea uoh is easy against crouchers at the right distance.
uoh, cr. short, f+fierce near corner is standard
uoh, cr.short, fierce x shoulder if midscreen
uoh, cr. short, cr. forward x fierce lunge punch into whatever against the ground gj bitches.
so you’ve hit someone with a close standing mk, you go up in the air and hit them with the air chain, how do you land on their left side?
Thanks :wgrin:
I’ll try them out

My personal favorites are 9 and 10 but yeah look at all of them.
How the hell do you do kara command grab? I heard someone say it was just kara-ing a cr.hk into the grab. eg doing the grab but pressing all 3 kicks in a rolling pattern. I did this and I can get yun to make the sound sometimes but it doesn’t add any range at all…
I’ve been asking around trying to figure out his kara command grab too, and this is what I’ve come up with.
Kara-ing his command grab in GJ is different than kara-ing out of GJ (probably obvious)
I think you can or supposed to kara his grab from c.rh in GJ, not so sure about out of GJ.
I know for sure you can kara with s.lk outside of GJ, but apparently this is really tough, and very very very few people can do it consistently.
thats all I’ve managed to learn so far.
i always kara with cr.rh
wow i’m surprised no one has been talking about the keeper jin
ah, the boss ground combo
there is a ranbat video aganist nanaichi that he does the full 5 reps [cr.mk, kara far hp(st.mp~st.hp)] on corner, but he missed the finisher
why the name “keeper jin” btw?
I got a question, I’m not sure if this is me or my stick or the game or both.
I have an unmodded us t5 hori (this is going to change soon) and I’ve been having this problem for a long time. usually when I genei-jin my f+mk come out fine.
Sometimes however (especially after a cr.mk -> f.hp chain) the 2nd kick just doesn’t come out. it’s very odd. It feels like I’m doing it on time every time but it just doesn’t come out sometimes. The first one always does, but not the second. Any explanation for this besides me fucking up?
i think it’s because keeper (the ken player) invented it
anyone been working on the keeper jin combo? i’ve been playing gg and marvel so i havnt given it any time
I tried that a bit, but I suck, the most I could get was 2 reps and even that rarely happened
anyways, the trickiest part to me is connecting the cMK after the far sHP hits. Seems braindead on paper, but it isn’t. That’s because far HP gives lots of pushback. If even a bit of the pushback takes place, you are out of range to hit with cMK.
So you have an extremely tight timing to push cMK - not too early or else it gets kara-cancelled from sHP before it hits, not too late because of pushback taking place. I can’t give exact values unless I find how to make frame-by-frame input on emulator or something like that (I tested on ps2), but seems like you have 2 frames, 3 at most to push the MK button after the sHP registers and before you get pushed back out of range.
For sure, connecting kara-sHP after cMK is way easier than the above.
Still, having that kind of precision on the sHP > cMK part for several fast repetitions along with flawlessly inputting a kara inbetween everytime is going to require a huge load of practice
