I also have trouble with good hugos, they’re scary… but st. fp is your best friend/lover
pretty off topic but didn’t know where else to post this, if you’re feelin flashy or want to end a round with style against an alex

I’m going to have to try that combo this weekend
How many mgu’s are possible on a shoto in the corner after a launch? I can get 4, with the 4th being messed up (multiple hits> knockdown).
What about outside of the corner? Typically I can get 2, and it’s actually easier to perform than when the dummy is in the corner.
3 off ex mgb or regular c.hk, 4 off meaty c.hk. you can also do one (last hit only), then delay a second one to get all 3 hits of it, then ender. dunno about midscreen but nobody ever goes for two after a grounded knockdown. most don’t even bother with one.
You can actually do up to 5 jab mgb after a meaty sweep, but of course no reason to do that 5th one. If you’re midscreen don’t bother with more than 1 unless you’re playing a Q.
Yeah I really only go for 1, 2 if I know it will hit. Sometimes I purposely mess up the 2nd or 3rd one to go for a reset while they are in the air with S.MP. After the S.MP you should be in perfect range to link UOH into Super.
Tell yourself whatever you need to, man. Maybe that’s how Thanatos sleeps at night.
Well I mean during casuals I do it on purpose. That way in tournament if I DO mess up the juggle (which happens) I will feel confident with doing the reset setup and not feel like I haven’t practiced it.
So I am half right!
Haha, yea. Whenever I fail the MGB I do a s.mp then mix it up from there as if it was intentional.
Haha yeah for sure, you gotta be ready for anything in this game I feel like so thats why I practice screwing up in casuals.
From what I’ve seen, mgu is super cancellable. I may apparently be trying something sako-like here execution wise, but now I’m wondering if I can do a sa3 off of a midscreen jab mgu juggle. I have done some pretty silly things before… Cmk>hadoken>demon being one of them.
No it isn’t.
This doesn’t even require super strict execution, but it wouldn’t be a supercancel anyway.
I’m guessing mgu means mgb. No you can’t super cancel it, wouldn’t you know that if you tried this… Yes you can connect sa3 off a juggling jab mgb midscreen and no it doesn’t require anything fancy.
Hey wassup yall I’m a new Dudley player that wants to learn how to play better with Dudley. I am very new to using a stick so any advice will be welcomed. Please add me on PSN for like training or something lol PSN : Dj_Jm09
Study the first post, practice the stuff he says is essential, spar with friends!
The term “kokujin special” made me laugh far more than it should’ve. Even the most gentlemanly of fighters can’t escape good ol’ internet racism.
Maybe for crouching LK you could add that 2 LK’s puts you at the right spacing for UO to super. I got that from the C-Royd video by the way, and I think it’s a nice way to learn the spacing and works as a basic set-up too.
Not a question I often see asked:
For mirror matches, is it generally a better idea to be more defensive against another Dudley and focus on poking/hit-confirms to keep him out?
EDIT: Also, is using LK ducking xx super after st. MP just as viable as MK ducking? Even after practicing it, I can’t for the life of me land the MK duck version with any form of consistency in the heat of a match, since st. MK always comes out instead. From what I can tell, the full super seems to connect after LK ducking at max distance so someone please correct me if I’m wrong.
The mirror is weird, I usually just chill out and do a little bit of pressure but the key is to definitely fish for S.HK into EX MGB. A lot of Dudley’s stuff can get beaten by Dudley’s S.HK so just hit confirm into EX MGB for damage.
Defensive overall though I would say no, if you get him in the corner or if you realize you can control pressure on him then I would just go for it.
I never tested that, I just always use the MK dash. It seems to just be more consistent and gives you more time to hit confirm from LK dash imo.
