no, i think he means holding the stick towards your opponent as he’s falling, then press the forward (medium kick) button (to hit the character) and cancel that into fierce jet uppercut.
Lol, obviously huh? I forgot that forward is the real name for mk. thanks for explaining it still though cuz I didn’t realize that you had to cancel the forward into the uppercut. Now I can do it like a champ.
Now what does that mean?
he means that if you do dudley’s jumping rh and its blocked: go for a throw, short swing blow, forward rh (dudley’s overhead), or short short xx super. depending on the situation those are the mixups you would use.

Does the combo at 3:54 work on everyone? [that can be c.Roundhouse Juggled]
Particularly the re-juggle after the juggle-counter-reset from the 3-hit super <3
I think that works only on the female cast not sure though. I never seen that vid before shit is crazy. Are you on ggpo or 2df? I miss those Dud mirrors man.
oopssssssssssssssssss
Wouldn’t it be safer to parry then do the duck under canceled to super? It seems like the ex mgb might be character specific with such a tight time frame for it to land.
Really helpful, all the normal chains got my arcade grades from high D’s to high C’s and B’s. THANKS SO MUCH!
Arcade grades are not what you should be worried with.
Fighting Chun Li is what you should worry about.
Lol, to bad I dont know anyone who plays around here. Let alone tournaments so I cant tell how well I would do againist a good chun.
i love the duds vs chun matchup with either character.
if the opponent isn’t careful of course you can parry her far fierce at the distance and clip her with the roundhouse EX MGB into rape.
when she doesn’t have meter, you can walk back, then react accordingly. if she keeps trying to press you to the corner she’s asking to walk into your low roundhouse, but you gotta be psychic about it and she can easily counter poke you if you miss, but the reward is in your favor IMO.
even though parried high/low, your low strong is a good poke when timed right. it’s not particularly too useful in this match though, but it can smack her out of her f+roundhouses and such, and if you’re close enough (when you should be using it), you poke her out of so much stuff. of course you’re going to have to change the timing on it very often due to them wanting to parry it. but after that, you can use them pausing to parry to your advantage, they will usually try low, so you can maybe walk up roundhouse ducking super but you gotta be careful about it.
if they like to poke you strictly (which a lot do), you can walk back, then jump with an early roundhouse and confirm into super. sometimes, you just jump over and hit them before they recover. if they duck it with a low strong (because of how low it is), you should also get into the habbit of EX uppercutting on land, or jump straight up and mix up again. oh and UOH is decent after that too.
you can try to roundhouse build some meter then back up and jump over their normals since roundhousing is poke bait :karate:.
and umm, that’s all the random things i can remember. i’m no dudley pro or anything, but i have been using him a lot in casuals :china:
edit:
Wow, I heard about this. Someone told me it was in richmond though. I will so go to this.
Thanks a bunch man!
not much we dont know but thanks for typing it I guess.
Chun sucks dicks.
I forgot to type that I didn’t read any posts on the page or so a few. Hey while you’re at it, can you show me some anti airs? My standing roundhouse -> jet upper has been losing sometimes, or occasionally I get the one hit and upper miss then eat a dash super.
I know to ducking -> super that shit with meter though :bgrin:. Which are his better anti air without meter? Preferably more than one hit.
i am still a little drunk but:
you can do some of his chains w/no meter
like mk->hk->hp and mp->mk->hp
you can do s.mp->ducking to get away possible (s.hk as well)
mash jab
s.hk->super/ex dp/ex ssb
ect
Alot of the dudley vs chun matchup tatics are alot easier on paper then in actually combat againt really good chuns. I think there is only one real way to beat chun…and thats to put that hoe in the corner and keep her there until she dies. Out of the corner she controlls space to easily.
How does dudley jump in on a chun that does back+fierce into lightning legs? I have trouble parrying that.
Good luck trying then.
Maybe an early j.rh could trade but chun could easily just do something else and break your trip guard with c.mk->super or something dumb.
