I love super canceling twd.mk when people parry it, even though I feel cheap for doing it.:wgrin:
I don’t do it all the time though because Yi smells that crap.

Ok I have a quick question how do you go about treating a very defensive Alex?
play defensive yourself, your normals are better.
Yeah because I play against a very defensive Alex. Its just that I have my days where I just ravage him like crazy in the corner and sometimes I hate to say it but I sometimes get put there too.
Alex needs to be played very aggresively to fully utilize his arsenal. You should be able to pick him apart if he’s affraid to act on you. Don’t get jump in happy, he has good anti air mix up, and you don’t want to add to your stun bar. Defensive alexs probably charge a lot for the elbow dash, if you can see it coming, parry buffer and get your knock down. Hope this helps
Actually the Alex I fight rarely uses the slash elbow. And if he does I’m ether parrying it or punch him out of it.
I didn’t say the slash elbow, and i said the charge elbow. I would be impressed if you could always stop him from the slash chop. Just to further clarify, i’m talking about the charge back 2 seconds forward kick deal.
If that’s not a problem, please give some specific examples.
I meant the charge elbow. I block most of the other slash elbows but when I get hit I’m hurting. I have a habit I’m trying to break and that’s jumping after poking the mess out of opponents in the corner. And when I do that the Alex uses a fwd+hp and I get smacked like a fly. I guess thats because I play him a lot because others just take the beating after the jump.
Also I saw on DJ-B13’s video a “ducking” move as he calls it to get under a projectile and close to the opponent, how is this done?
do people even read the first page of the thread anymore?
Haha
Seriously, man. You’ve gotta read the first page first. It’s hcf kick.
Yo do I take a similar aproach to a turtle-tastic Ibuki?
I’ve never played a turtle ibuki… A turtle ibuki would have to be an ibuki scrub. Well whatever, yea, same shit basically applies in respect to her move arsenal.
Dudley wins primarily through solid offense and mix up. You should apply that when playing any character, because that is how dudley dominates.
If your offense sucks and doesn’t work, obviously get better or use solid defense to gain momentum. This is pretty text book…
Ibuki has crap for life, and small stun bar. If she’s defensive, it shouldn’t even be a contest.
So once again, tell everyone the specific issues your having trouble with, because this is text book and obvious advice.
You don’t need to jump if your in control in the corner. Your ground game wins, hold him there, and wait for him to mess up. Patience is key, remember, you have him right where you want him if hes in the corner.
a combination of both defense and offense is the best way to play ibuki in that match, she seriously should control most of the match, dudley has to rely on single shots to do big damage because his normals’ usefulness is completely hampered by ibukis move set.
Yeah I hate to say it but I’ve been negleting my boy Dud. I’ve been using Oro a little more, but aside from that I just need to play the game more often because I’m getting my HD fixed so no praticing on my little brother and my mix-up game starts to fail.
man i need to update this thread…
I did some editing on the first page, as some of the stuff was slightly outdated, just a heads up.
More char specific stuff/updates on the way.
Nice update, I’m glad you changed your opinion on neutral HP, it’s damn good in the right situation, if not spammed.
I just have one thing I would mention. You say HK xx Duck into throw isn’t worth it because it won’t work on good players… Well instead do short ducking so you are outside of throw range, then go for:
Do this a few times and then do MK ducking again, normally the opponent will do something other than tech, so you get the opportunity to throw again.
But just my two cents…
