you guys are all WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
NSFW!!!
I found it through the 3s Match Videos Thread, This post linked to a site with various art including sf characters and I looked through the whole site and came upon “Areko”. :bgrin:
doho, that Areko is a cutie-pie. :lovin: I still hate playing against him though. :arazz:
Just want to put more emphasis on Alex’s normals being really good. Never underestimate stHK. It’s a great poke at mid screen distance, you can’t get punished too badly if you mis time it (depends), and it works really well against Necro.
Thanks! I think…

yes I know ken is on point but this works for most characters smaller than Akuma. I think it doesn’t work for Akuma because of his ponytail. Yes I know Akuma is not bigger than Alex but meh, I got no explanation for that one. It works though. woo woo.
headbutt a blocked cl. roundhouse against ibuki, if she doesn’t super jump cancel anyway.
Okay, some serious questions now, apologies if they have all ready been answered, it’s 42 page thread, easy to miss shit:
Most basic one: Is doing a LP/LK Grab and Powerbomb a good Option Select to have? You know what I mean? As you do Powerbomb you hit LP/LK. It seems pretty solid.
After doing a neutral jump if I do a LK/MK DDT when I land can I grabbed out? I can’t figure this one out, I would assume there’s too much startup for the DDT because sometimes I get grabbed out, and sometimes I don’t.
Just how do you link crLK into SA2? I’ve tried it for a long time, I can only get it out randomly. I can LP and stMK into SA2 no problem. But linking crLK is a bitch. This is the way I’ve been trying to land it: I do crLK, as it hits I do QCF, then another quick QCF and Punch. *Sometimes * this works most of the time it doesn’t. I heard you can link it off of crMK too, but I can’t get that either.
I don’t know about cr.mk but linking off cr.lk is easy for me (at least in training mode). You just have to do it fast and theres a certain timing for it.
I can’t for the life of me link into super from st.lk though, that move has way less hitstun than cr.lk.It looks cool though,I want to land it so I can ‘achieve Hulkamania’.
Funny thing is I can link off of stLK no problem. It works the same way as linking with stMK. I do QCF as I do LK/MK then another QCF then punch as it connects. It’s really easy.

Here Ken tries to EX tatsu cross up Alex but Alex ducked and did cr.lk after Ken landed(I assume he wanted cr.lk into SAII).Is this a guaranteed punish on Kens EX tatsu when you duck under it?Or was the Ken player just not blocking down when he landed?
You guys are talking about cancels not links. For c.lk x super I do the c.lk during the 2nd qcf. C.mk does not cancel into supers or specials.
Using (lp + lk) to activate powerbomb or super has one benefit. If you get thrown while inputting your motion, you can tech their throw. For example, you could empty jump super and if you happen to be late and get thrown, activating with (lp + lk) instead of just lp will allow you to tech their throw.
EDIT:
If Ken’s EX Tatsu whiffed, he would not be able to block the instant he landed because he no longer has “trip guard,” since he did a move in the air.
Got it! Thanks so much dude! I can do it 9 times out of 10 now. Can you answer my DDT question?
Hugs. No homo.
Trip Guard!Of course.Alex is quite good at snuffing out trip guards with his long range sweep.
So you can get a guaranteed punish cr.lk into super when Ken does that.Sweet.
You can combo the super after cr.mk on a crouching opponent I think. It’s not worth the effort though. It is a link.
I don’t know if it’s guaranteed, I’m pretty sure there are a few situations where Alex just might get hit but I couldn’t provide them off the top of my head. Remember, this is 3rd strike.
RE: empty jump into DDT - I think it would work, but it’s quite risky. I would rather choose to empty jump into LK or MK Stomp instead. That is slightly less risky.
I don’t know, I like to try it out against people who consistently parry jumps ins.
but with the ddt you can at least jump in with a parry attempt
My favorite is still the empty jump powerbomb
whiff a jump strong over their head and then jump in powerbomb
the don bomb
WHOA. I feel SOOOOOOO dumb now. I MUST have been in that situation in the past. I was trying to red-parry it, like you do so well Thanks for the link. That answers my other question about the mk tats, as well.
I didn’t know cr.lk can link, BUT, I recently saw a JP player do it, and the hit-stun seemed to last FOREVER: mondo-weird–link or not! (I might have done it too, but I forget…)
I think the BEST way to connect st.lk xx SAII is after a parry, because, afaik, you have to do the rotation for the super BEFORE the st.lk connects, or perhaps BOTH rotations. I tried doing the rotation after connecting the st.lk, and it never seems to work, so unless I’m slower at canceling than I realized, the rotation has to be started early, such as with the mid-motion cancel method that everybody’s mentioning
