that dhalsim os works, but it sounds like a lot of extra work you don’t need. just meaty him with a jab or short and hold forward. if he backdashes or teleports, you just follow him and step kick his recovery for a full punish. if he doesn’t, you’re abel with frame advantage against an opponent with no reversals. use your imagination.
as far as beating dhalsim goes, just remember that you have 99 seconds to get one knockdown. once you have that knockdown, dhalsim has zero options outside of random super to counter you, so just keep him trapped until he kills himself trying to escape. fancy knockdown setups and going for sick reads are all just ways of giving the dhalsim a chance to get out. it’s a super boring fight once you learn how to cage him properly.

I want to see the 2nd low of COD into Ultra myself. Landing 2nd low as a meaty on an opponent waking up has a good chance of hitting, definitely will catch a few people off guard.
I just tried the 2012 patch for a quick 30 minutes only since I’m still on the clock, but damn Abel’s TT damage is great and the breathless ultra… I like… very useful. I tried it against cody’s armor breaking ex-sweep/slide thingamajig and feels nice to grab him out of it. I also did some endless and noticed that when peeps would block 1st hit of COD they were all crouching on 2nd hit of COD so kept catching them with the mid attack. I guess nobody wants to be the first to get caught by the 2nd low into ultra. Oh and the hitbox on the elbow… it is magnifico. Abel does very well for himself in 2012… To bad we all die next year.

It takes alot more work for Fei to beat Abel now.
-8 on the second rekka is the best nerf to this match so far, I think. Since it’s such a liability for Fei. I found Fei’s slowing themselves down to only using one rekka at at time, footsies has become much more bearable in this match.

[]Balrog: Breathless beat out every dash punch from balrog as predicted including turn punch… It truly is brainless in this match.

[*]Zangief: Breathless may turn out to not be as good in this match as i hoped, the main reason being that breathless’s losing it’s grab invincibility during the dash animation.

It’s still punish lariot and may still do well against jump in attacks but what i’m worried about are Gief’s empty neutral jumps! Simply put, if you react to gief’s jump with ultra… the gief player can simply turn butter and cancel the landing frames into super or ultra.
Of course as Abel you can charge the ultra and therefore bait it out but it would be a gamble…
Might have been answered already but if you want to stream/record outside the in-game provided replay system you need a good CPU as recording is CPU intensive process. If you’re getting slow downs that’s most probably because your CPU can’t handle the game and recording at the same time. Lowering graphical settings will only help a little. But if it’s only an issue of a few skipped frames then that might help. Lowering special effects and anti-aliasing should help the most.
Was reading about the Sakura matchup, “lol cr.tech except for DBJoseph”. I agree. I tried to crouch tech on him once. . . And I don’t see the Evil Ryu match either, but I need it too. I pretty much never played Arcade edition until ver. 2012 (so I never played as ‘weaker Abel’) but I got blown up by an angry akuma, no one told me his dashattack thing crosses up -___-
