How can I punish C.Viper’s low taser dash thing?

It pushes her really far away and then the person I’m playing just does cr. MK to that taser punch all game… and I get stuck in the corner and shit

its really annoying.

On block lp TK is -2, mp is -1, so you cannot punish them. What your buddy is doing is not a true blockstring, Cr. MK is -5 on block, you can ex TT or Ultra 1 him in between the Cr. MK and Tk.

The only problem i can see with this is that if you were to roundhouse roll after a throw… it’s speed and longevity might give it away to your opponent that your going to cross up.

If the opponent knows firmly what side your going to land on they’ll prolly back dash the right way…

Test it out yourself though and see if it works… If it’s consistent let everyone know.

after getting hit by empty jump low normals by chun and balrog I decided to try and see if I could incorporate this in my game as well…

Great news! this set up works great after Normal forward and back throw EX Falling Sky… and after a completed COD…

Empty jump low short into standing Heavy punch…:tup:

Heavy punch becomes far heavy punch after tornado throw and fallingsky set up… at least you can do standrad lights combo into st mp for that last 100 damage…

Honestly splurgendii nailed the answer. I use mk roll because its so fucken ambiguous. if you light roll after the step youll land in front and you can use cr. Hp, or jab to step kick if u feel they may guess backdash correctly. None the less you dont wanna use heavy roll… it totally gives what side your going to away. however, in a way you could take that shit and somehow take advantage of it. For me if i used it, id use it as a mind game. if they know what side your going to, maybe theyll attempt dp, maybe they mash backdash… in a given situation this could be useful. If you wanna use this you can try it out… see how your opponent reacts to this… do they hold up… do they back dash or just block? if you can see how they react to this multiple times you can use it in your favor to turn the tide. if they hold up, try step kick, if they backdash do ultra or mk, hk wheel kick. If they block, dash up throw… if they NJ… St. Hp or buffer falling sky while you press the grab button to punish them trying to bait TT. Thats all for now. hope this helped in some way.

I dont even play abel and even i could tell from skimming through some of the match ups that is alot of wrong info here. Its cool that hes trying but if he has more wrong info then right which seems like the case then hes hurting the community.

His f.mk isnt really that troublesome imo, abel has st.lk to deal with that.
St.lk can keep ken out all day and throw some lk wheel kicks in the mix.
He cant get close to you with his f.mk if your st.lk game is on point.
Not saying his f.mk is totally useless or anything, but yeah its not THAT big of a threat.

After blocking the First kick… Abel can Focus, Focus, Focus and then punish with a Neutral Jump Heavy kick…

So absorbing those attacks just make the Ultra hurt even more… When maxed out, Neutral Jump RH, Elbow -> Ultra does around 540…

You can punish Zangiefs whiffed stand roundhouse with cr.mk, mp COD and finish the combo or do FADC if u have meter also u can do sweep from max range but don’t do it too late or you might eat an SPD.

I forgot… what’re the reasons to pick Ultra I against Gief?

Elbow into ultra working in the corner is nice but Breathless seems to have more utility… I forgot what other reasons there were…

having ultra 1 means that, if he’s below 40 or so percent, any whiffed normal might get him killed. If you have the ground game to make good on that threat, i don’t personally feel that breathless has any utility that overshadows ultra 1’s potential.
