never liked those kind of shirts. they scream douche a lot more than a polo.
That’s the thing I just realized. I threw away all my over sized ugly polos shirts (soutpole, no name brands) I am 26 and just now learning the art of styling. I know its sad. I need simple but fresh.
The only think I see now is cardigans, button down plaid or dress shirts like Perry Ellis, Sean John. $10 dollar polos and some t-shirts. The problem I have is spending 50 bucks on nice plaid shirts. Is it really worth it? I am picky and I might get away with a cheaper shirt but I like the design of the expensive one. No difference in quality but the design. Like an extra patch on the arm or something that makes it distinguished. The price tags ticks me off. I like Artful Dodger but sometimes I see no difference between their $70 shirt and a $5 shirt on sales rack in JC Penny. Mind games. Not to mention some these styles can look really gay if your not careful.
T-shirts n fitted hat are starting to look played out imo too. Imma start matching my hair color with my shoes… I’m for real.
edit: I take that back. There are plenty of good tees. Just nobody in my college or maybe in GA rocks them.
Eh I dont find anything wrong with a hat… the only time i wear it tbh is when i need a haircut lol. If I get a haircut (#3 all around) then im a lot more comfortable w/o a hat.
Plaid im not too big on… but when it comes to clothes i feel like “you get what you pay for” isnt true. im not sure what about those 100$ shirts make it worth 100$. im SO glad ed hardy died out around here (no offense to anyone who may like ed hardy), i hardly see anyone wear it anymore. in HS you were the MAN for wearing those shirts that were expensive (and people knew they were expensive), but in college that doesnt seem to be the case anymore…just another fish in the pond.
what are some good brands for button ups? i suppose you cant really go wrong with those. i used to care about what my jeans were but i stopped a while ago. the pair of true religion i have is just uncomfortable and i dont see why its $120 worth… kinda sad i wore it one day in hs and some girl was like “OMG are those true religions? you are now my favorite person at this table.” just smh’d. but then again the reason i wore those jeans back then was probably to elicit those types of reactions…

Probably, I’m not a dressy guy but lately I’ve been running into girls that always ask me about my style and where I shop. I didn’t think they were serious but I get whatever is comfortable and what I think is nice. I sense from them that they think people go to one certain store in a mall of 100 stores and just shop at that one store without checking the others out.
I’m not concerned with what other people think about it. It just IS better.

I’ve been looking at some T-shirts from Karmaloop.com and mltd.com. Although some of them are expensive I wouldn’t mind getting a few. I’m starting to like some of these brands I never heard of like Akomplice, crooks and castle, etc.

Me, personally, I couldn’t care less about the brand of clothes I wear. I can’t stand clothes with huge logo emblazoned on them, although I make an exception with Ecko gear for some reason. hahaha
I’m a horrible dresser and have to have my female friends go clothes shopping with me since I have no clue on what looks good and lack any sort of fashion sense. Hell, I even had to Google what LaCoste and Oxfords were. I just try to color coordinate at the very least. Buying clothes is at the very bottom of my list of stuff to spend money on.
Yeah I didnt know what Oxfords was either lol. Shopping with a group of people tends to be a complete disaster for me all the time… nothing ever gets accomplished. Ive learned to shop with 1-2 (male or female) TOPS if I really want to get something done.
everyone wears polos. only a certain breed wear those expensive tees that are filled with dumbass designs and shit.
since i only wear clothes for the slampieces, i’ll use that as a measurement device. i see dudes get a lot more pussy in polos than those dumb looking tees that cost so much money.

I actually think some Tees have great design a sense of expression. It depends how you wear your gear and carry yourself. I wore polos since middle school so I am just tired of them for now. I rather wear sweater vest with dress shirt or some shit.
yeah i wear the sweater (not vest) over a dress shirt but only for the special occasions. a douchebag is just like an idiot, a scumbag, etc. its hard to define because its such a common word.

Also, females can’t dress for shit either. Don’t think oh because it’s a woman they know any better. Some do, but most don’t.
and when it comes to the term, “douchebag.” What immediately comes to mind are people who buy Ed hardyish/true religion clothing with obnoxious labeling, basically walking advertisement which shows a lack of vision on their part. They become advertisements for their beloved brands.
Polos are some of the most uninteresting articles of clothing, btw.
I was told (maybe a year ago?) from a female friend that girls don’t dress to impress guys, they dress to show up other girls. Which I found kind of funny, but also somewhat true for guys too. Most girls don’t care about what kicks or swagger clothes you got… at least not down to details of brands and specific piece of clothing. Unless they’re gold diggers, of course.
Anyway, I picked up a new Jugrnaut fitted that dropped today.
