@igogorek i see where you’re coming from and I did try it out in casuals, but I need to put my LP on the line because it improves my focus and it makes me care more about my losses and what i can learn from them.
I had to learn the hard way… I never played season 1(didn’t own SFV at the time) where neutral was a bit more viable.
Now that I had time to process my last play session i have figured out that footsies with Kolin should be used very sparingly. There is no reason why I should blame Kolin, the game or myself as im still learning and there are just so many things i don’t know.
You are right about prioritizing getting in, pressure and oki. The more i play the more i realize its about getting the KD, applying pressuring with hailstorm if you’re too far from the opponent, blockstrings that end with L. Vanity to be perfectly spaced so your V-skill is safe on block, spending meter for Stun/mix-up opportunities, and tick-throwing with st.LK.
Yeah. I saw a couple of his matches and he looked solid. Also i remember thinking that it’s the funny thing that among 3 best Kolin’s they all use different costumes: duke-default, majoboy-story, poongko-nostalgia. Now we need somebody for battle costume. =)

Color is cool. I like this costume but i wish it had tight full leg pants. It would be more in line with her northern style. And still sexy. Now area in her crotch around right leg often looks strange. Like clothes goes inside leg.
I’m pretty much maining this color exclusively. The color red makes me think of determination and the black works well here. I’m also using X-Men Cammy :giggle:
grats to windalfr for 25th at dreamhack with only kolin. no doubt a lot of matchup unfamiliarity happened but there’s the tournament viablity everyone wants to see.
thank you! had to fight a lot of matches (6-2) due to losing to Ricki Ortiz in Winners in my second round of pools, but I still fought hard. Managed to eliminate gllty, FourWude, and Panda| Jiewa but then lost to Momochi at the end.
i caught the momochi upload, when he blocked that overhead in the first round i knew he was going to run with that opportunity lol… good shit getting there though, gllty should at least kinda know whats up with kolin

does Kolin have any combos that can be initiated with crouching mk?
cuz i had mad troubles with this Vega. i couldnt capitalize anything since his pokes are have so much reach…i dont know any combos that start with something with reaching normals.
all i know is st. jab>st. mp>hp>multifists and st mk>hp>mp+mk
you need counterhit or a meaty setup link to get a st.lk after crouching mk, the alternative is to confirm your v trigger off of it which i would only do if the stun gauge is already over 30%ish to be on my way to freezing them. you can try to space a v skill to get lucky with a counter but i think most ranges he can at least punish you with a poke depending on if he has claw on or off. just gotta try to stuff his pokes with st.hp and cr.mk still is good too even when you arent converting it to anything else after
i think it’s too early for me to give honest answers to match up numbers as of now. I don’t know enough about every aspect of the match up yet as the meta is constantly devoloping and I really don’t like uneducated numbers being thrown around regarding them.
Story costume 15 reminds me of Jean Grey.
