Yes I played a bit of Kolin today. Vtrigger is crazy good. 2 bars and she has two use and both are useful.
You can legit have 4 freeze attempt a round.

She is kinda fun but at the same time i’m horrible dissapointed by how limited everything in SFV is. You have these ideas only to go into training and find out nothing actually works…by design. It’s infuriating.
I’ve never played a fighting game as stripped down and limited as SFV and it doesn’t promote thinking outside of the box.
That is my first impression, now i’m in the accepting fase and just deal with it.

Having a hard time trying to make it easy to use all of Kolin’s EX counters and dashes.
How should I map my controller? I have a PS4 pad and a Hori Fighting Commander.

There’s no real magic answer to it, you’re going to have to adapt in some fashion.
The best answer is to use the Hori FC (or any 6 button fight pad) claw fashion with the buttons mapped in something like the normal arcade stick pattern- all your punches in one row and all your kicks in the other. That gives you easy access to any button combination, but you have to get used to doing everything else claw style (or switching back and forth quickly anyway).
If you don’t want to play claw style, use a 4 button controller like the PS4 pad and map one kick and one punch to shoulder buttons. Map your other buttons on the face and just make sure that you can press both those punches simultaneously with your thumb, and same for the kicks.
For example- if I’m using a PS style pad L1 is lp, R1 is lk, top row of the face buttons goes mp-hp, bottom row of the face buttons goes mk-hk. L2 and R2 get mapped to all 3 punches and kicks respectively (not used much in SFV, pretty useful in IV though).
I actually play Gen in IV with that PS layout, can switch from traditional to claw on the fly with it, and can piano cancel into any strength of hands whenever I need to. It is all about practice.
So her EX QCB K has different properties depending on the combination of buttons you use. I’ll list them below:
QCB LK+MK: Nothing that I could really pinpoint. Very Similar to her regular QCB LK
QCB LK+HK: Fully projectile invincible. Can cancel into all normals and command normals.
QCB MK+HK: Marvel esque tri jump. Hits REALLY low to the ground. Can also cancel into her air command normal
Anyone else discover anything note worthy?

So is cr. lk - cr. lp xx LP daggers completely safe? Does that mean cr. jab-cr. jab xx LP daggers is also safe? Would be nice to have some safe special chip damage while I get used to her hit-confirms (its taking me time to get her setups and things into my muscle memory).
I think Urien is one of her worst, or maybe it’s just EX Orange Carrot Tackle bodying me. You can’t work past his normal wall at all
Assuming you can block a bullet you can EX Parry orange carrot tackle between the first and second hit.

I don’t know if anybody knows yet? her high command counter counter hcb/qcb HP works on physical based specials example shoryukens, tatsus, urien knee drop and there ex versions. Have not tried physical based CA
