Bro all you want are those extra stages from the Saturn version. I mean I feel you on that but apparently they weren’t that good. I’d rather they spend the time and energy making a proper 2D console Metroidvania game.
Well, 2 new areas, Alucard’s 3rd Hand, new alternate costume for Richter, Maria & Richter playable from the start, a new boss, a new warp room, new equipment for Alucard (Rainbow Robe, Alucard Spear, etc.), slightly different music for Maria and Richter in different areas, 18 new enemies…

The new areas are just palette swaps of some other areas in the castle. The music is good in those areas are good though. If you really want to play it, go download a Saturn emulator and get the .iso somehow.
Also, Mirror of Fat sucks balls in your nose. Why the fuck does Simon Belmont look like an ape man? What is David Cocks smoking? Bring IGA back and team him up with Platinum games please ala Metal Gear Rising. Also bring back Michiru Yamane for fucks sakes. I’m tired of all this generic hollywood soundtrack nonsense all these games are spewing.

It’s horrible and generic and is not worthy to be used in any Castlevania game. LoS was a decent enough game, although I couldn’t bring myself to finish it. It certainly looks like MercuryStream is fixing a lot of the issues I had with the first game though…so I’ll see about giving the series another try.
Funny thing is, the music was one of the few things I did think was good. Not better than the Igavanias or anything but a couple if the themes I dug.
That silver haired dude they called Alucard though needs to get the fuck out. SOTN Alucard is real Alucard.

Olrox’s Room comes to mind but that’s about all I can commit to.
