The Cartoons and Animation Thread

I saw the first episode of Rise of the TMNT and dipped with the quickness. Can’t get into it at all. Not even the wrestling episode could win me over.

The fuck @ Infinity Train…

Shiiiit. I forgot all about SE2 of infinity train.

I might have to see Infinity Train if shit like that is going down.

I just binged Book 2 of Infinity Train. The last 2 episodes air tonight.

Summary

I have a feeling that MT will realize that her purpose in life of being a reflection isn’t as bad as she thinks it is. She’ll end up becoming Jesse’s reflection so she can always watch over him.

Another reboot . . . .

I am intrigued to say the least.

The ending of Infinity Train Book Two was excellent.

I remember hating this show when it came out. A huge part of my hate was that it wasn’t B:TAS and it’s existence is why JLU had the bat embargo. Looking back at it was an ok show.

A lot of the criticism I read about The Batman back then was basically that…and Kevin Michael Richardson as Rastafarian Joker.

I heard a lot of “its not Kevin Conroy so it sucks!” Which was annoying cuz i thought it was pretty good.

Admittedly, I didn’t get over that until Brave and the Bold where Diedrich Bader voiced Batman.

I think my favorite modern day (2000 to now) Batman series is Brave and the Bold. Him teaming with a hero of the week was a fresh take on the character. Often times the hero of the week would serve as a foil to Batman.

Also the John DiMaggio as Aquaman episodes were the best episodes. Don’t even @ me.

Batman Beyond would be my favorite since Terry McGinnis is my favorite version of Batman (I’ve never really found Bruce interesting) but it’s started in 99 and ended in 2001

Guess I’m just old enough to remember when Kevin Conroy wasn’t Batman at all.

The Batman WAS pretty trash the first season. Towards the middle of season 2 things picked up and it became respectable. I remember Batman vs Dracula & the appearance of Superman being turning points for me

Brave & Bold was straight :fire: through and through, as goofy as it was, it got dark when needed . (The Joe Chill episode in particular)

Oh The Batman definitely got better after season one…

I enjoyed its take on The Dark Knight Returns…

The Batman also had a strong voice cast:

I wouldn’t say trash first season, but like most shows it got better once it had legs under it.

I did marathon thru The Batman and got used to it. I need to jump back into Brave and the Bold for sure.
