This a different He-Man show from the one Kevin Smith is producing
Gonna be CG huh? Thays pretty much rules out being connected to Netflix She-Ra
The two He-Man shows won’t be connected to She-Ra mainly because that version of the character is a DreamWorks production.

So on January 7th Genndy Tartakovsky’s PRIMAL is getting a “movie” cut titled “Tales of Savagery”. It’s all 10 episodes of the series edited into one seamless movie experience.
The January 7th release date is for Digital platforms. What little I looked I couldn’t find any info about a physical release.
… This was my high school life minus cocaine. The juggalos I knew didnt have that hookup
I aint get no bitches in high school, total opposite of what I was after I graduated
Original still the best
2003 Turtles da best, mang. OG cartoon close 2nd tho
Have you actually watched it lately? It’s horrible. Especially the Red Sky Episodes which are basically unwatchable.
I agree with this up Until they did the art direction changes to make it more anime/Chibi/kid friendly aka The flash forward series was hot garbage.
The Japanese OVA’s are the second best.
We don’t speak of the Flash Forward series. I pretend it didnt exist and put that unaired tournament season in its spot
Honestly. I really want them to make a cartoon or at least an animated mini series about the just concluded IDW Comics Run of TMNT. It was fucking outstanding. It took so much from every tmnt medium and version while beating its own drum and making something amazingly unique and fun. It has some amazingly dark story arcs too.
IF I had to rank the TMNT shows Ive seen…
-
- Might as well call it TMNT TAS. Fast Forward season was mediocre and the Back to the Sewer season was just ok. Nevertheless, the show still got the Mirage essence a lot more right than wrong.
-
2012 CGI this show felt like the they took the 1987 show and made it a hybrid with Mirage. I liked the mix of goofiness but it could also be serious too. The ending was a bit dark out of left field with the Mad Max ending. I feel it was more consistent than 2003 in some aspects.
-
- I grew up with this show and it got me into TMNT in 1989 as Transformers was in decline. I get that they had to tone it down from Mirage, but if they had kept it half action and half comedy like the first season with some ACTUAL fights, it would rank higher. People say G1 TF is repetitive and they are correct but at least I can watch parts of it like the 1986 movie , Season 3, and parts of S1/S2 and not lose interest.
The plots have less pizzaz than TF and with no action it loses its charm. The bet thing about this is the humor especially Rob Paulsen’s snark and the old married couple Shredder/KRang.
I like the red sky seasons somewhat because of the more consistent art/animation and serious tone. Their look was reminiscent of Michael Dooney and is one of the better looks. (MY favorite is the first 5 seasons of the 2003 show)
However, going from one alien despot with a creaky voice to another one was a lteral move. Most of the new villains were kinda lame.

Next Mutation. The suits look better than TMNT 3. Straight crap otherwise.
I watched 2012 until they added Seth Green to the cast as Leonardo. His voice just absolutely did not fit that version of Leonardo and his voice was especially annoying when portraying Leo.
It just really really bothered me. I couldn’t get over it. So I never watched past Greens debut episode. Which sucks because everything before that was awesome and everything I read about it afterwords sounded awesome.
Red Sky was just too much too quick and the pay offs didn’t feel satisfying. Their weird human sidekick who could Mutate was dumb. He was basically their FlimFlam from 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo. Their primal mutation modes or whatever was dumb. The new villains were horrible.
The art and set pieces were way better but that’s about it. It just felt like they were trying to keep up with the edginess of the 90’s but constantly fell flat on their face.
Too sleepy to watch it tonight and I may not have time to watch it tomorrow due to hanging out with people all day. So likely Wednesday.
Regardless of when I get around to watching it I’ll be beyond fucking excited
So there’s an issue with the theatrical version of PRIMAL SE1
Summary
It’s incomplete.
The last episode that is shown in the theatrical version is Spear and Fang escaping the cave the red bats and giant spider dwell in.
There is another episode after that where Spear and Fang meet the Ape People that ends on a cliff hanger.
Very weird they decided to do this.
I got Chromecast so I can watch all kinds of stuff on my TV now. Those old Disney shorts? In David Xhanatos voice Magnificent.
I found out a while ago that OK KO Let’s Be Heroes was canceled. That really sucks. Show only lasted 3 seasons. Meanwhile Teet Titans Go is on what, season six right now? Not sure. I Would trust CN with an upcoming show if I were looking to get greenlit. They will either shuffle the show around the schedule or burry it in with so much TTG that no one will watch. Maybe with Christina Miller gone, things will change but I’m not holding my breath.
