Nagata - Turned off by a tournament for wanting to Run singles?! You know when you’re down to FOUR in any Tourney you don’t need 4 TVs. But I can see how you can jump conclusion really fast and criticize. Anyways you should still make it. You’re team will be out Fast anyways…
Anyways…I guess you don’t have to stay. No one is forcing you. **I’m sure **people will want to run a singles. If you don’t, dont. I’m confident SCIV will run a singles and Teams. If Nagata and friends want to leave early, they’re free to do so. The singles in NO WAY would slow down the Team Tourney. Your guys’ over reaction to this is hilarious.
Honestly. 16 Team 3 TVs will be done in 2 Hours. I wouldn’t mind leaving early too. Then again last time I didnt expect 50+ people.
Russel - Sign on? Ummm…there was going to be a singles for both games regardless. I didnt expect everyone to stay. If there is no interest THE DAY OF, then I will cancel. But I dont nullify the idea immeadiately.

I think you missed the point. It’s not about whether you want to run singles. It’s about prematurely diverting resources from the larger tournament in order to jumpstart a side tournament. What I’m suggesting is running all 4 TV’s until WF/LF/GF before taking away stations. That way you’ve literally exhausted all possible matches you can run and maximized your savings on time for the main tournament.
Nagata - I edited above. And YOU missed my point in that pretty much LF/WF/GF is when this would take effect. I thought that would be obvious. I guess you naturally assume I don’t know how to run a tournament.
just a clarification on the format, when you say FT3 you mean it works in an ironman format right? ie. you move up from first player, to second to anchor.
Yes. One MATCH for each player you beat. Question is, whether that single Match should be FT2 Rounds (tourney style, which I vouch for) or FT3 Rounds (3rd strike; get your “moneys” worth in game time).

Ban Me?! For harmless smack talk?!! I would like to point out the part saying “You dont have to stay. No one is forcing you” applies to ANYONE that only wants to stay for teams. Again jumping to conclusions.
No Taunting or Flame baiting allowed. This means slight name calling to provoke flame posts after you post. An example of this would be posting on how “Zangief is way better than Sagat, and anyone who thinks otherwise, is a jackass.” That is not allowed.

It is a waste of tv’s/time. If you wanted to run a singles tourney, it should of been that way from the start. Let’s keep this the same as the thread title. Toronto TEAM Tournament. In fact, if it ends early, you can open up all the TV’s for casual play; I think more people would be interested in that.
