i would want to see a rematch because i didnt pay for the first one, but im hearing from every sports source that the first fight was a nightmare to put together and they dont really wanna do that again
It took 5 years to put together and the venue didnât even have a contract signed on until the week before the fight (I think it was the venueâŚidk, I just remember that something wasnât done until the Week before). Not to mention the whole thing with Showtime and HBOâŚyeah.
Between all of that and Mayweather really having absolutely no reason to do a rematch, it isnât happening again and it wouldnât even draw a gate close to the first fight to begin with.

First, what many people need to realize is that not everybody who dislikes Floydâs wins are Manny Pacquiao fans. Most people who dislike floyd are actual boxing fans who grew up watching the sport from the 80âs to 90âs. We never had fighters who dictated ring size or pushed for contracts in where the majority of their advantages are met, we never had fights where we payed 100 bucks just to watch a guy just run around and force his opponents to chase him⌠This is a fight sport. Imagine if that shit is pulled in the UFC, the amount of boos that fighter would get would be insane.
No one is against counter punching, evades, defense but what people are against is that opponents canât fight on even plain. How the fuck was pacquiao going to get a hit if the fighter just ran around and clitched him everytime he managed to get in? If you think that is beautiful boxing then this confirms that boxing is a joke of a fight sport.
That is who the Mayweather camp is looking to. But since the fight is in Sept, Khan wonât fight because of Ramadan. Iâd love to see GGG fight Floyd, but i doubt it will happen.
