Maidina lost. There is no bullshit in the results. It was very visible after the 6th round that Maidina burned out or Mayweather just adjusted at max.
Nevertheless, that fight was fucking close. I honestly would give it a draw if i had any biases towards Maidina but i think Maidina being a slight point below was just right.
Best fight in a long time.
And of course âTHOSEâ people waste no time crying robbery LOL! Quit crying and just be prepared for the inevitable ride of the next hopefuls nuts haters. 46-0. Deal with it. #EasyMoney
Nah, Maidanaâs shots didnât hit cleanly enough, some on the arm, some of the shoulder. There were too many times where Floyd tagged Maidana right on the chin with his right. Maidanaâs fighting, while good in his intention, really devolved towards rushing throwing a few punches to his glove, arm, shoulder then clinching (and he got tagged to many times in the process).
Floyd basically let Maidana come to him, and punished him with the assist where he whiffed/could roll cancel/or used something that wasnât safe on block.
The fight was that close that anybody would be pissed the fuck off from hearing Maidina lost. I am. Ever since the start of round 1 where Maidana started barraging, i was routing all the way but just to be fair when 7th round came in, Maidina was obviously burned out or Mayweather just did some adjustment Paradigm Shift FFXIII because he really came back.
The fight was the best fight i have seen in a while. The clown entrance, watching a fight between brawler and a scientist, both nearly getting shoved off the ring. That was a real fight and Mayweather haters got to see how Mayweather does in a REAL FIGHT. Mayweather fans also need to admit that Mayweather almost lost.
A rematch has to happen and i donât want it to be next year.
If the punch totals given by the broadcast crew are to be believed, there were enough close rounds with only a few landed punches separating both fighters that the scores could change. 116-112 wasnât too far off, maybe too generous for Floyd. Announcers had it between 2-3 rounds up for Floyd, probably about right. Just a matter of whether you give Maidana one or two of those closer late rounds.
Even still, Floyd figured him out and won late. That much isnât being disputed unless youâre a blind hater. And I do dislike Floyd as a person immensely. But Iâm not blind, he clearly won more of the late rounds.
It wasnât a robbery. Floyd won, but the winning scorecards were LOL! Mayweather clearly won because the rounds he won decisive, but it was a still a very close fight. Anyway there will be a rematch. Mayweather was thrown slightly off guard by Maidanaâs over hand right and odd angles (same to what he did to Broner last December) but Mayweather turned the tide at mid fight via his insane accuracy and deciding to take the lead instead of always waiting for the counter.
i had the fight 7-5 for floyd, i could see it 8-4 like one of the judges had it as well depending on how you scored the first round. really good fight, reminded me a lot of the de la hoya with a lot of pressure and punches thrown in the corner from maidana, but not much landing. i think a rematch would end in KO or UD for floyd based off how the later rounds went once floyd adjusted.
the only way to beat floyd is to come in heavy, push him into the corner, flurry and hope the judges reward your effort and ignore all of the missed punches.
i donât think khan is ready.
lol @ broner calling out pacquiao. ANYBODY CAN GET IT!
good entertaining fight. maidana brought the pressure and looked good but i think the lasting image of this fight is maidana being energetic but sloppy against the ropes in the beginning and floyd landing flush hard clean shots in the middle to late rounds.
7-5 floyd imo. you can make a case for 8-4 or even 6-6 depending on a few rounds that went either way, like 2 and 10.
The stats speak for themselves. Mayweather landed 231 power punches to Maidanaâs 221, and at a 65% accuracy compared to Maidanaâs 34%. Maidana won 4 rounds but after the 4th round it was all Floyd. Maidana looked like he was in a street fight, 5 low blows, 8 or more punches behind the head and I seen that dude even using his knees LOL! Plus Floyd actually stayed in the the pocket and fought⌠He could have just stayed on the outside like he normally does and picked Maidana apart⌠It was the style of the fight that made it interesting and got all these casuals shouting ârobberyâ.
edit:
Also, here are the official scorecards for the hardcore.
I was rooting for Chino and was very impressed by him but Iâm not blind. I thought Mayweather edged him out in the mid-to-late rounds (although gave the 12th to Maidana). Maidana is relentless
