You’re probably a lot better off just watching high level Bisons on Youtube to be honest.
Unfortunately, I haven’t found too many upper-level Bisons on YouTube. I wish the game’s “elite channel” would let me find character-specific replays.

The dics looking solid! Which competition was that and are there any videos? They need to sort out his c.mk hit box as it throws me off so many times when I think it’ll hit. Apart from that I’m enjoying his mindgames more and more.

It actually improved my ssf4 bison so I do, but I only play Bison these days and team with randoms on ranked, it’s like the lottery!

yeah, I tried! Unfortunately I got straight up bodied by Ricky and choked and threw it away against Christian Lim after being up 2-0. Frustrating! I was really not playing so hot, I could attribute that to not getting enough sleep and having to play first thing in the morning but now it just sounds like I’m making excuses. Good thing nobody really saw me getting owned because nobody gives a shit about this game!!! Hahaha… ha…

more like let people know Bison is a good character! I kinda like him better than ssf4 Bison. Being able to punish the sht out of people without charge is so refreshing.
Game is misunderstood, it’s not as bad as people make it out to be… but it still has some massive issues that need fixing.

Glad you came around with a second opinion of at least bisons design in here. He’s still on the bland side but the having and stuff makes up for it. He’s got damage in this game and it’s consistent.

I have way more fun playing Bison in this game than I do in SSF4 AE2012. Maybe because I’m just sick of SF4 in general? It’s actually harder to open people up for big damage in that game. You basically have to play lame and just keep chipping away at their lifebar, and you have to be charged to make the most of any big punish opportunity. In this game you can actually walk forward and push buttons and make it hurt! Both Bison and this game are the definition of “misunderstood” I think.
And as I’m sure you guys saw, Viscant got 4th at CEO with Bison/Zangief. Bison army (…ha) still placing in majors but just can’t take down a win, lol.
I got 5th at UFGT and 4th at CEO and lost the same way to the same people. Got Rufus’d out by Justin and Ricky. I’ve lost a total of like 3-4 games in tournament lifetime to non-Rufus. I’m just completely and totally free to that character.
My strategy in the game is simple. Bison gets the lead. Brings in Gief. Gief gets a little isolated damage, brings in Bison with a lead. Bison sits on the lead and chokes you out. If you get hit that’s cool, if not I’ll just play the clock. The Rufus/Chun team keeps me from playing my game since I can’t seem to hit Rufus first with Bison and Chun handles my Zangief pretty effectively.
I honestly think I could have taken down one of those tournaments if I had any kind of anti-Rufus in the bag simply because nobody is taking the game seriously enough. It’s a shame. Then again it goes both ways. I get away with all kinds of ridiculously unsafe Bison stuff simply because nobody else is trying either. I get away with a LOT of really dumb devil reverse shenanigans that I know have easy counters simply because nobody plays the game and nobody-1 plays Bison when they do play.

I feel the same way. Damage is accessible in a lot of ways in this game. In SF4 you’re stuck somewhere and just waiting for an opening to punish. In here you can do more and having a good partner to cover and backup Bison is good. This games just a lot more different and fun in ways you can’t get out of SF4.
