Should be stopping by this Saturday, finally got a weekend off from work.
Has Delta Red abandoned me? I might have to EX hooligan off a cliff!
I kid of course, looking forward to Rufio’s Ibuki and DKLs Chun.
Been reformulating my gameplan the past week. Hoping my Cammy has some new tricks for you guys soon! :badboy:
believe me…my ibuki games needs a lot of work…so…many…target combos!..and the links! th…th…e…the links…their too fast for my eyes!
Looking forward to having you; I’ll be gone from 4-8 (because of my stupid class), but people will be holding down the fort in my place.
Will give this a shot later.
After finally getting in a bunch of hours with Chun last night, I have to say that I know where all her hype comes from…
She’s really fucking good; her wakeup game is ridiculous as there’s so much crap I can do from cross-up (which is made easier with the instant cross up command) to high-low (Hasanshu is pretty quick and I can apparently link into attacks with it?)… plus it all seems to be relatively safe (mainly because I don’t need to be so damn close like Dudley).
(also, strangely, instant cross up can, in some instances, be an ambiguous crossup (lawlz) since it seems to have a weird property that lets it hit things even though it doesn’t cross the opponent)
One thing I need to get used to though is that she’s not built like a wall like Dudley is; I can’t take too much damage and a lot of her stuff is actually super duper punishable (like Ultra and Kikouken)… floaty jump is easy to DP as well, so I need to learn when to use it.
I’ll keep going till Saturday and will hopefully be somewhat ready by then.

Also, can someone give me a rough estimate for the prices of all the SUPER alternate costumes for X-Box?
I’m probably going to pick everything up along with the Blazblue DLC.
$30.50 for the two complete costume packs. Or 2440 MS points. The second pack costs more since there are more costumes. The third pack will most likely also be 1440 points.
Also, sorry I had to boot you from the Halo game Dom. My coworkers wanted to do invasion and we wanted the team to be even.
To be honest, I have to apologize for my one noisy friend.
That being said, I’ll get on the costumes ASAP and load everything onto my flash drive…
…
How do I do this and I do I need to log my account in at EU?
Also, what is the third pack?
Is that the newest set of costumes (with the Sun Dress Sakura) or is this the old stuff, but then they’re going to package it soon?

EDIT:
Also, I might get SF Aplha 2 (is it available on XBLA? It’s on PSN and on the Wii…)…
Is it worth getting?
No worries man.
If you’re really lazy about it, you can just purchase everything online at Xbox.com and it will automatically download to your Xbox next time you sign in. Otherwise, you just need to put points on your account and then access the marketplace. I highly recommend doing this on your own Xbox rather than the stores however. If you purchase something on another Xbox and then try to use it on your own Xbox, you ALWAYS need to be logged into Xbox live due to Microsoft’s weird DRM policy. This may or may not be an issue, but sometimes I bring my Xbox to places without internet and for stuff such as Rock Band songs, this can be an issue.
As a recap:
1000 points = Original SF IV Costume Pack
1440 points = SSFIV Costume Pack
1440 Points = New costumes that haven’t been released yet (Sakura Sundress, Catwoman Cammy, etc.) They’ll release this in 5 separate packs and then one big pack at the very end.
Alpha 2 is pretty dope since I played that game a little bit (never got serious), but honestly are we going to play it at meets when we got so much Super on the mind? If it’s something you really want to play though, then I say go for it. I bought it for Super Nintendo when I was a kid (for $70!!! O_O), so I just dust it off whenever I get a craving.
Shoryuken - Morrigan Getting Covered Up in Marvel vs Capcom 3?
God damn it SRK.
Also, got done with a money match over XBL: one of my XBL friends bet $5 to one of his real life friends that one of my other XBL friends could beat him…
(I don’t know why, but he had a surprisingly high amount of faith in some dude he just knows online)
Somehow, the bet eventually turned into $65 and I was brought in at the last minute to GET DAT FIGHT MONEY.
It was epic and we won.
Alpha 2 is good fun. I play it (A2 Gold) casually with friends on some Sundays.
XBL money matches FTW (I have no idea how that works out, lol).
You guys get all the fun, huh?
After finally screwing around in Training mode, I learned a few things…
-Head stomp seems to only hit 3 times in certain situations
-I can do the hasanshu into crouching short into ex lightning legs fairly consistently (not sure if can in a real match, but missing this link probably won’t hurt me nearly as bad as a dropped Ex Machine Gun Blow)
-Apparently, you can also link cr. lk xx ex lightning legs from instant crossup as well
-I can’t seem to combo off of j. lk crossup
…
Uh, I think that’s it (back mk might be a good poke, but I’m not sure)… anyway, hopefully it doesn’t get any harder than learning crouching short into lightning legs (though, honestly, this is a nice combo since it’s relatively safe even if you don’t hit it).
Couple of other helpful chun things:
One of her best punishers is close.Hk xx EX Legs
You can link super off of a few normals like standing fierce
Super has only 1-2 frames startup, so she can punish many blocked normals once she has it.
I wish there was an easy way for me to option select crouch tech and lightning legs…
But I don’t think I can realistically cover that much area on my arcade stick.
Does anyone have a spare fightpad they can bring to tomorrow meet? I think I may be able to make it for a few hours.
My friend plays a mean chun and I was trying to pick her up for a while because she has really good pokes like Vega. My tips off the top of my head:
A good chun can actually out-poke a good vega. Her cr.HK is godlike…you can poke, counterpoke, and even anti air with it. LEARN THE MAX SPACING OF IT
MUST learn cr.lk, cr.lp, st.lp -> st.hp combo. I think it’s her BnB punish with no meter and it gains ex meter pretty good.
Abuse her air throw… I think it beats out everybody’s air-to-air and has superior range and speed to other air throws (cammy, hakan, ibuki) except guile and vega’s.
Abuse jump back HK as an instant overhead against tall characters like hawk, gief, guile on their wake up.
For U2, learn to antiair with df+lk, and dash in U2.
Unfortunately, I don’t think anyone else uses fight pads (Rodney uses X-Box pad).
=================
That being said, one of the things I’m screwing up in a real match is that ex lightning legs isn’t coming out… need to remedy that soon as it’s pretty punishable when regular legs whiff or if I’m constantly mashing and accidentally leave the legs out longer than they need to be…
Also, I still can’t do that one trial with cr. mk from lk lightning legs; WTF.
Learn2Piano. I usually piano hk and mk and then mash lk and mk together. Comes out pretty consistantly for me.
I see what you did there.
Apparently, mashing harder solves the problem of not getting Ex kicks out…
(I can piano, it’s just that I seem to get regular kicks out a lot of times so I guess I need to learn to mash after the initial piano)
That said, I really hope we get the Makoto buffs; despite everything, her mixup game is still very satisfying when you land it.
Hmm… The Cammy army taking a break? Maybe I should go back and play some Cammy. I sort of stoped using Cammy since she didn’t have a command overhead. I always thought cannon strike was an overhead, but seeing as you can TKstrike, it probably would’ve been too good.
I was trying out Juri the other week and she seems fun to play. People say that Feng Shui Engine is better than U2, but I’m not sure how FSE works. It doesn’t seem like you can cancel normals into other normals, so do you still have to link them?
There’s like a set of rules that governs Feng Shui engine… I can’t remember what it was, however.
That said, this video might help:

Was too complicated for me, so I gave up…
That said, GUYS, I bought all the costumes and they’re awesome!
