I was planning on getting there at 2 since I need to get stuff done at the bank. If you guys show up around 3 then I’ll just go eat or something.
Yeah, let’s do 3 PM.
That said, I’m still a little here and there with the relocation to Richmond; I’m thinking about it and it might be harder for the San Fran regulars to get out there; EUDEMONIA has been a great location primarily because you can walk to it from the BART…
Ffffffffffffffffffuuu–
I have no idea.
I just posted this on DL, but I thought about you guys and figured I should empower you with this tidbit.

Did you guys see all the changes from the arcade test in Japan?
Ryu, Akuma:
If tatsu done in air at or before jump arc peak, becomes floaty and goes nowhere. Can no longer escape corner with air tatsu. Crossup tatsu still works.
Ken:
EX Tatsu can be blocked low. More recovery on jab SRK. Can follow up jab SRK AA with EX Hadouken, just like Ryu.
Chun:
No apparent changes noticed, except sweep doesn’t seem to deal as much stun.
Guile:
Damage down, Sonic Boom does not build super meter.
Honda:
Damage down, U2 now HCBx2 motion. May be harder to combo into Hundred Hands.
Bison:
U2 now charge motion, way more recovery
Zangief:
Range on U2 increased, recovery also increased. EX Green Hand doesn’t knock down.
Seth:
Dhalsim J.FP gone.
Cammy:
Normals easier to combo, but tiger-knee Canon Strike no longer possible. Can still Canon Strike normally, EX can still be tiger-kneed.
Makoto:
EX Hayate armor break, slightly faster walk speed, axe kicks more like 3S.
Dudley:
EX Ducking added - no armor. Moves the same distance as RH Ducking but recovers almost instantly. Crouch roundhouse different - faster? Not sure how but it is definitely different. J.RH knocks down air to air.
Blanka:
Blocked Blanka Ball now recoils at half the distance, much easier to punish."?
(Copy and pasted from Azrael)
Changes are HUGE.
That said, I’m not sure what you can do with EX ducking, but maybe I won’t be thrown out of it so easily?
Holy crap those are signifigant! I better spam TKCS while I still can. :bgrin:
We could do one here at EUdemonia, but it would have to be on X-Box 360s; I’ve got sticks, so I don’t mind lending, but I don’t know how comfortable other people would be with that (like PS3 pad players).
We could hijack rooms during the anime club’s Thursday Game nights, but those games would be played on PROJECTORS (not very good ones at that).
So… I don’t know how people would feel about these conditions, but that’s the only way we can do it out here, unfortunately.
(though, maybe we can get a CRT TV onto the second floor of Dwinelle?)
Zakuignited has a CRT TV they picked off the street, but I have no idea how we would get that shit up the stairs…
(there is an elevator, but it’s still a hassle brining it in from the street)
ALSO, hmm…
The Makoto changes sound quite nice.
See you guys there. I’ll be there around 3.
couldn’t make it do to me being sick the last couple of days
Get well soon! You missed our first impromptu tourney!
Good games everyone! I still can’t wipe the smile from my face from our tournament!
I’ll post the results as soon as I stop browsing the interwebs for HALO REACH information…
I was initially just kinda whatever with it, but reading about FORGE WORLD has got me incredibly hyped; it’s HUGE.
HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE.
Hey DKL, I was planning on going to Japantown in SF today, and I was wondering if the place where you went to buy your manga was the mall that was in front of the New People cinema.
Yeah, it’s near the Cinema… it’s in one of the two main buildings… if you walk from the VIZ cinema, I think it’s the large building to the right (where that tower thingy is)…
Uh, it’s called Kinokuniya or something.
Really? damnit, how many people showed up
Like 15 or something?
…
Not sure; need to upload brackets…
Important!
For anyone planning to bring their own copy of the game, or any other items like arcade sticks (especially popular madcatz models), HDDs, etc. to our meets:
Please be sure to LABEL them in some way, someone nearly lost their copy of a game due to a minor misunderstanding. Everything got sorted out swiftly, and hats off to everyone staying level-headed
Also, if someone were to accidentally leave behind any item(s), it’d make it much easier for us or the EU staff to return the lost item to the owner.
For arcade sticks and game cases, you can use a sticky label. To label an actual game disc, you can use a permanent marker like a pencil Sharpie (let the disc markings air out before putting it back in the case though). If for some reason, you need to remove the marking off the disc, there are plenty of methods out there to erase even permanent markings.
See you fools next week!

Am not sure of accuracy… will comment later.
I think my copy is technically with Rodney right now…
But I have no idea any more.
Triple post for the win!
Wow, a lot of people actually did participate in the tournament… like 14-15 people (as I assumed).
That said, Haibing actually only lost once and fought his way to the finals from losers; lawlz.
