Roger was put in losers by Rodney in winner’s finals.
DKL, I think you eliminated Roger prior to your match with Haibing.
If you can tally up all the player’s W/L ratio, and make a sorted list, that’d be great. We can also use that list for seeding the brackets in later tourneys.
Drats, that would mean we didn’t have an actual loser’s finals. Haibing was the top loser after beating DKL and would have had to face Roger prior to Rodney.
I guess we can officially consider Bing and Roger tied for second then
Seeding is just organizing the brackets such that top players don’t play each other too early on. For example in the first round, the winner would be in the first bracket and second placer would be in the last bracket, that way they would only play each other in winner’s finals.
It’s also useful if there’s ever a 2v2 or 3v3 tourney, the seeds would actually be team captains in this case.
*I beat Roger in winner’s finals. As people have already pointed out I think Roger should have next waited to fight Hai-Bing in loser’s finals…
Instead, for some reason, Roger went straight to loser’s round 3 or 4 and lost somewhere there. Wasn’t there a loser’s battle where Roger eliminate Jorge in a really tense match ending with ex stone against ex electricity?. This is all the results I’m sure of:
RESULTS
1 Rodney (Vega)
2 Haibing (Balrog/Rufus)
2* Roger (Dudley)
3 Dom (Dudley)
4 Jorge (Blanka)
4 Sergio (Cammy)
Battle Results
1 Rodney eliminated Haibing in grand finals (3-0)
2 Haibing eliminated Dom in loser’s final (2-1)
DKL: My bad with leaving with two copies of the game. I went back to EU and dropped it off with Jorge. I currently have one copy in my possession right now… if you think it’s your copy that I have right now I’d be more than happy to trade.
We should take advantage of that deal which Dean was offering for a $12 day pass, we just need to sort it out with him. It’ll be $72 for 3 setups, and if there are 15 people then each person would pay $5 for the whole day. The $3 left can be used for the next week’s meet or if we do a tournament then we can use it to buy a snack for the winner
Yeah, we should definitely talk on how to organize the meets since our numbers seem to be increasing. Maybe we can have whomever gets there early pay for a pass. I usually try to get there at 2 or 3, so that I’ll get more play with a day pass. It’s been hard on my wallet consistently getting day passes to play, moreso when we had that BlazBlue setup, me and MaNoel could almost buy a copy of BBCS each week. I guess it’s better now that we moved BBCS to the Anime game nights.
By the way, did Dean respond to our petition about bringing our own setups? Guess we should have talked to him when he was there. Maybe he’d be more open about it now, I mean he was hyping our matches on the projector so…
Also, not that it matters but I played Fei-Long and lost to Rich’s Chun-li in the tourney. I used to play Fei Long a bit, but I couldn’t figure out his play-style. What are his good and bad points?
I don’t want to take the $12 pass at this point because then EVERYONE would be required to log in (as that was his objective with the discounted day pass, but as talked about earlier: not everyone stays all day and it’s only useful to some of us)… I’d rather just have it like the old and then they only want 2 logins per X-Box (no problems so far)…
But I don’t know.
For now, let’s just sort out pay schemes and assume the old system: I by default pay $12 since I’m hosting, so it’s up to you guys to fill out the rest of the setup requirements.
(also, yes, no more BBCS at EU meets… it’s not worth it… that said, I will still bring my copy and HD just in case we need them, but we really need to do BBCS at game nights instead now)
That said, I hear that Fei-Long’s pokes are awesome; Rakkas are really nice since they cover a lot of distance and are relative safe, maybe.
Yeah we should figure out how to pool our money together. The only problem is that some people are there early and leave, while others get there when we already have the set ups running, so i think it would be kinda hard to keep track of how to have everyone chip in. Also, I saw in the shop the other day that they were having a special event (EU anniversary i think?) this weekend, where it’ll be like $2 per hour or something like that. I was thinking maybe we could buy a whole bunch of hours and stock up for future meets XD
We should just have 4 accounts designated for Saturday ssfiv sessions that we all pool money into and have it constantly funded by everyone.
I think it would be best if we just had a flat rate anytime you show up for EU. Something affordable but still reasonable, maybe $3-$5.
We should also have a designated session time, maybe 6pm - Midnight on Saturdays.
This way If we all paid $4, and we average about 15 people that’s $60 which is good for 24 hours (8 hrs for $20) which can be split as 4 logins with 6 hours each. We should mandate that the sessions start and end at a certain time so there aren’t like one or two moochers using up all our paid hours.
If we have less people show up, we’ll just have to cut our sessions shorter… which should be OK cuz less people means the ppl that do show up should get more playtime
