About the CRT TV that Tao is talking about, I can chip in and get it with you guys. And if you guys need somewhere to store it then I have some space at my apartment. I live like less than a mile away from EU and I also drive, so if you guys trust me >.> <.< I can help store some stuff and bring it over for the meets.

As for the TV cost, yeah, it’d be cool if you could chip in; we just need word from Tao if he sealed the deal with his boss or not.

When it’s needed I have that TV/VCR combo available. It’s like 14" and only has mono sound, but it works perfectly lol.

Hello, new to the thread here. I backtrack the thread reading that a “Norcal Install” tournament is this weekend. Does that mean this poll is for next week? (Sept 4/5) I am really interested in this seeing how it is only $3 dollar.

Yes, this is for the first week of SEPTEMBER; NORCAL INSTALL happens this weekend and we are making way for non-capcom fighters.

That said, the details aren’t final, but I’m fairly sure it’s just $3 per person to rent the venue the whole day, so long as we don’t use the shop’s equipment.

I figured since 4 people are chipping in for the tv (my brother is chipping in too), we can split the tv for 10 bucks each, how does that sound?

I’m probably looking too much into the future, but I’m finally planning on getting either a PS3 or 360 next year around when MvC3 comes out, so we will have another console.

There seems to be enough people who want SATURDAY and there seems to be enough people who want SUNDAY…

(though, we should ask: if we did do it on Sundays, how consistently would people be able to attend?)

I’d want you on Saturday AND Sunday, but that might be too demanding, so I dunno…

(naturally, I would be obligated to show up twice a week as well… though I am kinda worried about my studies… I’d better start scheduling study time better if I wanna do this)

It’s only day-one polls and we have about two weeks before our first dry-run, here’s hoping more people make their voices heard. Either day, we have at least three setups (dkl, zakui, myself for TVs), so keeping our existing community together should become first priority. Do we have enough consoles?

I’m edging towards Saturday myself, mainly because we already KNOW who will show up for those sessions. A secondary reason is there tends to be tourneys on Sundays, which may affect our turnouts and could create friction with those organizers. But I may just be paranoid. Right now, I’ll stay neutral.

@NR^2, if there were people playing till close time on Saturdays (1am), would you get a more reasonable amount of playtime in for your contributions? Personally I’m able/willing/eager to stay until the last BART, which is around 12:30-ish.

We can likely get TVC running since Zaku and Will (and me) have sticks for it… mine is un-modded, however (and I may need to put a button back in).

We will have SUPER for sure, but I think I’d like to use my XBOX for 3rd Strike and NR^2 can take of SUPER SF duty (but then, people will need to bring some PS3 sticks)…

But I dunno…

We need to fish around for more consoles for SUPER SF now.

Rufio, do you think you can drag your XBOX with you or would that be too much work?

(if you could, that would really make me lean towards Saturday even more)
