Well I can’t seem to get it to work with the suggestion. Sometimes I’ll get the “Waiting for Players” message or something like that with the timer. Then if I exit, I can no longer say anything in chat. =(
0.117 sucks.I can’t get past this cd BS. I did everything people told me to do. I got all the files. They’re all in the right places, and it still won’t load on kailerra without it asking to rewrite the cd.
Its added CD-rom emulation…writing to flash or whatever like it is with the original CPS-3 hardware.
Do you know how to get it to load correctly without it taking 30 minutes to rewrite the cd?
No but the Mame++ guys should have added options to recognize cds written offline. Offline, you only need to do the CD writing crap once and when you do it once, it’ll work every time.
Yeah, that works fine. I tried asking in the kailerra chat rooms if I need to do that same thing online, but no one in there ever answers anything you say.
Why are they coming up with newer mame++? I’m tired of having to go to kaillera to play 3S, only to find out that there’s a newer version I have to d/l every 2 days. It’s getting annoying.
I pretty much keep my 3 versions of mame++ for now. Whenver me or any one of my friends desync, usually it won’t work anymore and we switch clients.
Besides 117 ain’t so bad with the nocd.
CPS3 isn’t the only system MAME emulates and they have been consistently updating MAME with new additions and fixes over the last 6-8 years. Whenever there is an update to MAME, MAME+ people makes a new release and MAME++ people just follows their footsteps. Still, you shouldn’t have any problems playing cross versions if the version difference is small unless the systems you intend to play was affected. But that should be unfavorable for systems like CPS3 where they are still fixing bugs and adding things…
Any way to change the dimensions of things in the Kaillera window after entering a server? I hate how the box displaying the games is barely an inch long, scrolling through them is very bothersome. Also, can you make certain games invisible, leaving only the ones you want listed?
Its funny because I rarely see that game list scrollbar in the servers I play. Well, you have 3 options:
- option a: You get yourself a program like PE explorer (trial version will do) or anything that can uncompress UPX modules and edit resources and change the dialog dimensions of both the server dialog and the game dialog.
- option b: Get someone to do it for you.
- option c: Use something that doesn’t have that problem or one thats done for you. I remember uploading some gui mods here: http://kailleradb.net/downloads/index.php?topic=Client_Files%2FGUI_modifications_and_patches/
This is sort of related to MAME since it ise the emulator I’m using but what are ways to lower ping aside from closing programs and the more obvious ‘move closer to the server’? Are there any options I can change on MAME to make my ping lower? I’m in Canada and it’s hard to find a good server. My ping is usually around the 60s. =/

Set up the controller where? In the Default Options screen, or in the game itself?

umm when i try to go to kaillera with .117 it says error loading server list but the few rooms available wont even log in so how do i get to playin online?
what is a good mame version thats most popular out there (compatibility) that supports sf2: anniversary edition?
