“YOU” should be able to go no problem… I go

what? We didn’t have that problem last time. Nor do I ever have it with Isaac or Daniel or Phoenyx or Darrell, etc. You have a ride; it’s 10 bucks. Relax.

lol superfree. godammn hahahah

You think I’ll lose in a FT5? You might be right but…

Also, I kinda lost lack of motivation. Maybe the MM will give me a reason to play if I lose. IDGAF about the money, losing is what drives me to win. If I win, I’d be bored and take the little money. However, even if 1 TN player shows up(prolly not), not MM’ing. I already said whats up. I want to beat them more than anything.

For some reason I’ve labbed Marvel for the past couple of days for about 45 minutes, so there’s that. I’ll actually have a magneto combo more than 20%

I won’t be able to make it to RCR though. I’ve got to work more for dat $$ for dat 日本

I will still be going to the shop and play more KoF and marvel… and AE if for some reason all the other discs break and the game data for anything else anyone would want to play over it were deleted/corrupted.

I still love that game.

shoutouts to paul

GGs at the shop today. @Shinobi: Keep working on that Kim pressure man. Good shit. @Raekwon, fuck your Clark lol good shit. @ Solid, good shit in marvel.
I forgot to tell you guys that its a big chance The Nagato Lair aka apartment will be in business this Fall. If so, I’ll probably set up some KoF Sundays or someshit. Shoutouts to Joe for coming up with the idea tho.
Shoutouts to myself for doing Joe stun combos in actual matches. Too bad the fucker got problems opening people up. :frowning:

lookin’ pretty likely I’ll be coming to RCR from Nashville to get last place in KOF and troll with El Fuerte in AE

Nice. Glad to see the familiar Nashville faces heading down.

RCR’s a no-go. I got work saturday.

Ok folks, this Saturday is league week 2. To catch you all up, Week 1 started with 6 teams, The vote for game was split MvC3 and SCV. So to accommodate both sides, teams for the season are playing both games, the first set is MvC3, second set is SCV. In the event that one team dominates in MVC3 and their opposing team dominates in SCV, the domination point will be determined by the chosen member of each team doing a match of Skullgirls, since it got 1 vote in voting  If a team dominates both games they get domination point automatically.

So here is some great news, Teams still have time to signup, team signups are until May19th, all fees are due by May 19th as well. In addition, with 100% of fees already going to the pot, we thought we would add that all drinks purchased during league 5pm-7pm will have 10% of their profits added to the pot over the length of league as well! So the pot will continue to grow with bonus cash. So if you bring your friends to watch and drink, they are putting money in the pot with each gulp.

Weekly recap is up on league page under the rules http://www.gtsouth.com/league/leaguehome.php , pages are almost finished coding that will list schedule and rankings so keep eye out for that soon.

Thanks all!

There is a tourney in Huntsville this Saturday and most if not all the people going to GTSouth SHOULD be coming up for it.

There is a [S]tourney[/S] league in [S]Huntsville[/S] Montgomery this Saturday and most if not all the people going to [S]GTSouth[/S] Tourney SHOULD be coming [S]up[/S] down for it

lol… in all seriousness though, we developed the league on the premise of versatility, each week you earn points, in the finals those points determine where you are in the ladder, if you have less points you just have to beat more teams in finals to win.

So if you miss a league a week or two to attend tournaments, its not going to kill your league team. You just don’t get points for that week, it doesn’t put you out. There are rules in place for this to allow for folks to go to tournaments and there are rules which ensure someone can’t join, never show up and then try to go to finals. We gave the best balance we could so folks could have fun in league AND do tourneys

i’m really happy that gtsouth coordinates events with the rest of the state!!!

ahahahahahahahahaha!!!

HEy guys i’ll be back soon so I can get bama back in top 5 at tournys. OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH NO HE DIDNT!! I play Vergil, Doom, WESKAH! GAWDNESS

Hello ladies and gentlemen,
I don’t normally get on here and post but far as coordinating with the rest of the state I have this to say.

When we did our very 1st event at the renaissance in downtown Montgomery we did coordinate with all. Even went out of our way to make sure it didn’t cross over any other states at the time as well. So when the time comes closer for the event another tournament pops up in ATL. Some of the very people we had been talking too. They knew we had plan this for months and they did it anyway. So when people drove from Alabama to Georgia they lost money. The people that did attend our event were paid what we said they would be. We did not get the number we needed but we had given our word.

Now we skip past all that to today. We will start doing monthly soon. When that happens yes we will make sure it does not hurt anyone in this state. After all that is fair. The League Play as outlined in the above statement gives players the ability to go to other peoples events. They lose out on some points but at the end of it they have to play the finals and the bracket that the points puts them in. Not every player will be able to go to other people events our even ours due to school, work, family issues or just plan gas prices. So we have set up a handicap rule in our event as well.

All this is being done for the gamer’s in the state of Alabama. We are also taking all money that people are paying in and putting that into the pot for 1st and 2nd place. We are not making anything off the event from what the players are putting in. We have built a business and as such we have a place people can come and have fun. We mean no disrespect to anyone. So please run your events and have great time with them. People, players, gamer’s will decide where they will play. Again the League was set up so people had a choice and last year some people did attended other events and there was no issue.

Once the website GTSouth.com is up and running. I welcome you to post on there as well for your events. GTSouth is not attempting to take over any other tournament or town. We are simply running a business. Now if we as a state would like to sit down and talk that can be done as well. I have no issue setting up a VOIP chat and we can talk and arrange events so that we do not clash. As far as League goes again that is a league it does not run the same as a tournament. I can understand how one might feel slated about someone else running an event and seems like they are stealing people away. That is why the League Play was formed so such things would not be the case. So please understand how it is run before getting upset.

As event organizers we can fight and act like immature adults or we can set down and talk and work out things that is best for the state of Alabama. Other states are welcome as well to get involved but this being Bama forums our first responsibility is to Alabama. We can form an alliance of Alabama gamer’s or any other way you would like to phrase it. That way the players get the best out of it. We are not stepping on each other toes the players are taken care of and we all can help promote within the state. SRK is a good place to post events but I have run into people that have never heard of the site before. So we are missing some players out there.

Now if you would like to talk to me more I will give you a phone number or you can PM your number either way I welcome the chance to build a better experience for our players and event’s organizers as a whole.

To be honest, it’s really unlikely that additional events would NOT conflict with each other at this point if they’re done on the weekend. The run-up to EVO from this point is pretty busy. Between RCR, Finalroundbats, the Dothan guys trying to set something up, the various road to EVO majors within driving distance, and any misc stuff that’s slipped my mind, the next 2 months are kind of packed. Don’t assume ill will or carelessness when there probably isn’t a perfect alternative in the first place.

i’m more bothered that there wasn’t the “hey, is this cool if we put this on this day, there isn’t much of a better choice because these other days have this this and this and in the way” “yeah, okay, i guess that’s fine” exchange that could’ve taken place. instead, “hey, RCR is happening this weekend right here in alabama but lets just announce this that same week”.
sort of like how they did with the friday thing last season, they could’ve talked to us about the auburn thing, but nah, they just went and DID IT.

yes, there’s no way to not interfere with anybody, I get that. but at the same time, maybe a handful of bama people will go to georgia tournaments or non-FR majors. those weekends are fine. on the other hand you have an in-state tournament this weekend.

we’re right here, could you just say whats up before you go and do things? give us a chance to say “hey, there’s this or that problem with this”. if you wanna do whatever anyway after that, that’s cool, just let us know why.
or just accept that people are going to be unhappy on here when you go do something like this with no warning.

dont get me wrong, gtsouth has been a great thing for the gump scene

Why dont GTSouth just run seasons during the Fall/Winter time period? I mean, there aren’t big tournies afaik except for SCR and I doubt that any Bama people would really attend(probably a few, but not many). I think you guys would have good turn outs more. As of now, leading up to EVO is indeed busy. You see Yipes is doing Curleh Mustache on the WC on the only weekend available and he wanted it to be East coast again but they are booked.
