This is on top of DLC gems bringing about a very possible Pay2Win situation (something players of most Free2Play Korean MMOs can attest to being an invention of Satan). If that ever happens, I am done with the entire company of Capcom. You want to offer vanity items like costumes or bullshit like Shadow Mode, whatever. You want to charge a lazy tax for people who don’t want to bother unlocking stuff (i.e. Gill in 3S), go for it. But the moment real life money becomes a determining factor in winning a fighting game, you will never see any of mine again.

Yeah I feel the same about SfxT, once I read the article title about gems I was like this shit wont be competitive and probably will not be played in tourneys. Then I read the shit and I swear wtf is this? smash? then capcom admits they want it like that. How unfortunate because SFxT started looking promising, then capcom threw this shit on us. Definitely not buying it, even to save my life. SCV better not disappoint though, seriously who made up this guest character shit? I feel like the ruin the importance of a game, with the only exception being SCII, which wasn’t that bad. Hopefully, Namco won’t put any creat-a-character in it neither, that helped ruin SCIII and SCIV imo.

Hey Raekwon, will we need an extra TV tomorrow? I will be at the tourney tomorrow, possibly with a 360 setup for Blaz (don’t fret if you play PS3 pad, I’m going to ask Lamar if I can borrow his PS2-to-360 converter and will have a Sony PS2 Dualshock on hand to accomodate). I can also bring an extra 360 stick (modded SE with Sanwa stick/Seimetsu buttons) for people that don’t have a 360 stick. Reason I ask about the TV is I might be able to bring one if we need it, assuming I can find its remote to change inputs, but I’m not going to bother digging it out if it’s unnecessary or we won’t have room.
Might want to phrase the question as, “How much money does everyone want to donate to Lamar?” Lol.

Man I know where you’re coming from, back when I was a semi-serious FPS player and CS:S came out/got all the sponsorship money much of the 1.6 community died, and 1.6 is probably my favorite competitive game ever. I was upset that people were leaving for what IMO is a kiddie version that dumbed down everything that made CS great. Really though I don’t think people LOVE SF4 and MVC3 much these days…I’ve never met an MVC3 player that thinks it’s better than 2 and everyone thinks 4 is kinda boring.
I remember playing GG with you that one time and you were pretty cool…GL with life. Maybe you should pick up Skullgirls though. I think you might like it.
