Hakumen = AMAZING in CS. Faster hops, better recovery on 5C and 6C, great new j.C and 4C that both can be used to poke/zone, JD is completely untechable, 5D has more active frames and better recovery, more untechable time on dash cancelled 214C allowing for easy 100% Mugen combos, Astral Heat motion changed to be actually usable, cutting projectiles doesn’t leave Haku stuck in hitstun and creates a projectile orb that can combo, Yukikaze (counter super) now also works against lows, fully charged 6C does stupid damage and launches on counterhit/after a 6D for easier comboable Mugen activation, and to top it off, he still does monstrous damage (even more so in comparison now that everyone else got hit so hard by the universal damage nerf). The only things he “lost” are 6A as a free anti-air (although the new 6A is plus on block and slides him forward, so it’s good for pressure) and 6B (which is still good since it’s so easy to chip away primers and gives him a meterless overhead, even if the damage is crap. Old 6B was better though). Dude is gonna be too beastly to play, I can’t WAIT for CS to come out.

i wanna thank you all for coming to hamacon, and apologize that the tournament was run pretty horrible. I’m going to talk to the guy in charge and make sure that either he shapes up or someone else is in charge of tournaments.
it was really refreshing to get blown up like i did, and after i tended to my wounded ego i’ve been training on that ryu matchup!

It’s actually a music venue. Big open space with a dance floor, stage, Amp system, plenty of tables and chairs with a few arcades in it. It also has a mini golf course in the back. The reason I thought It would be a good place to use is the good space.
The only downside is the rent is a little high, so It would only be really usfull as a place to through bigger tourneys.
The sub thing sounds like a really good idea. Cheap and not at anyones place. If you guys would want to kick something up there, I could help fund it.

If you guys are looking for a venue, check out the multiplex near my house just off the intersection of Wall-Triana and Pine Grove. I’ve gone to a bunch of shows there and it seems like it could be a good gaming venue. Not sure about the rent, though. On the plus side, it’s right next to China Dragon =)
@ Sharktooth- We definitely have to game this week. I haven’t played against you in a long while and I’ve started playing, and losing consistently, with Akuma again. Lemme see what day (probably tomorrow) I can get the house to myself and I’ll throw a session at my place.

I live in trussville close to the best buy and target off of Highway 11. I have an apartment, and im always home at the latest 8:30 pm. I am willing to play till around 11:30 everynight if anyone wants to come over sometime just let me know… send me a PM or something. When im off, we could play all day. I am getting married and my fiance works till 11pm. so im always down for playing. Even if its online, it will still be a good connection due to being so much closer. Nice to meet everyone
