Just because you happened to only purchase one system doesn’t mean you should be pissed at the community as a whole for choosing the other one.
Get a dual mod, get a new stick, or just don’t play.
I swear, nobody goes to a baseball game and complains that they aren’t using their favorite brand of balls, so why does the video game community have to have this bullshit?
It’s better for there to be a set standard rather than it just being tournament to tournament.
All Bama and GA tournaments are run on PS3. If you didn’t check up on that before you bought your system or stick then that’s your fault.
See, here’s how the process went for me:
Step 1: I asked someone what stick I should get when I started getting serious in fighting games.
Step 2: They told me PS3, because all tournaments around here are on PS3.
Step 3: I got a PS3 stick.
See? It’s not that hard.
And don’t give me this “My system is better than the other one, here’s why” shit either. At this point, both systems are pretty much equal in terms of everything.
Get salty about losing, not about which system you lost on.

I have heard it said forever that some games feel faster on xbox but I do not notice the difference personally. I just happened to have bought a 360. I have a lot of trouble switching to different pads because my brain so damn comfortable with the 360 despite it being garbage for FGs as far as controllers go. I also dread the switch to stick but at least it will be my last switch unless I become some hitbox weirdo

I just got that in the mail today and I used it at a friends with my 360 fightstick on his PS3 and I had no problems whatsoever. It seems like there are mixed feelings about it but it worked fine for me and I didn’t notice any sort of input lag or anything. Granted, I put in just under an hour with the thing but I’d recommend all 360 pad players picking it up because it is far cheaper than buying a PS3 pad/stick
Yeah today was my first day there and there was atleast 12+. They run a little weekly SSFIV:AE thing & they also did a MvC3 tourney. There was also Tekken 6. I got there later though and left early but thats all I saw. Cool folks, definitely gonna try to go every week.
First off, GGs Headcrusher today. The switch to Skrull was pretty nice. You should also think about unblockable setups with She Hulk also. Don’t know if you noticed but you caught me with a couple of them on the fly. And eventually Ima stop eating dive kicks as much. LOL!
Second, guess we need a Roll Call for all who is going to BHam from the Gump. Right now I know its me, Mikuru, and Headcrusher. Anyone else? Also a head count for the tourney in Tuscaloosa would be nice as well. Perhaps a car pool can be arranged or something.
And finally, I see alot of new names posting on here that I think are from the Gump. The Gump is starting to open up in the gaming scene now and we finally got a spot where people can meet up and game now. Anyone in the Gump should meet up at GTSouth every once in a while and get some games in, like for real. I’ll admit I’ve been slackin on my grind for games as of late, but this spot is really giving the Gump a chance to go back to its gaming roots. So I’m ready to grind out with anyone whenever yall are. LET’S GET IT!!!
Also whoever posted that adapter for playing xbox on ps3, I am going to order it pretty soon. Thanks for reminding me. I dunno if you were the one who told me about it in person.

and slo to anyone this may seem to be an off the wall question but which move is safer? +5 on block or -5?
That depends. If your doing a move? Then +moves are safer than -moves.
If someone else is doing a move to you, then -moves are safer for you, than +moves.

I’ll be heading to GTSouth for some AH3 & AE practice. I have a bad feeling that I’m going to scrub out again on AE like last week (GAWD THAT WAS AWFUL) but it’s not my main game so no harm done. I swear Im placing either 1st or 2nd in Arcana though…just need to get the one obstacle out of the way. :rolleyes:

I think there’s an inherent like 2 frame input lag on most/all PS3 games so I understand that grievance. I’d actually not mind running on 360 but there’s a caveat for pad players that prefer the playstation style pad: they’re gonna have to get a 360 converter + a ps2 pad they like. I got one recently and it works pretty well, so really the pad issue isn’t an issue anymore. My thing with 360 would be that I don’t have one, I just have a ps3 and PC AE.
